    Do you guys think the father had a “Who the hell are you?” moment with Simone after he committed suicide and he somehow managed to convince her to listen to his story and that’s how he appeared to the Prodigy.

      Wow, that's really nice of you to say, thank you!
      Keep an eye out for my next video for 01 too...
      It's gonna take a bit longer than the last two took, due to how frequently vocalists overlap, but it's coming along nicely :)

      My god, Arjen himself or his record company should offer you a steady job based on this, bro! :)
      For those who don't have a physical copy of his albums, your work is the best way of enjoy them through a device, hands down! You're absolutely reviving the (almost) lost art of listening to an album reading the lyrics from start to finish for those who want to immerse themselves in the story.
      I definitely look forward to enjoying also both 01 and Electric Castle! Many thanks once again for your job!

      You are very welcome, this means a lot to hear!
      I ran into a bit of trouble with 01, as the record company for that album wasn't too happy when I posted it, but I'm working on getting it back up with Arjen's help.
      In the mean time, check out my cover photo for a sneak peek at Electric Castle :)

    yes - thank you @Ayreon for the real music, real musicians playing instruments, vocalists that can actually sing and not processed or in-audible crap we are exposed to claiming to be music... how can RAP be more popular than this this creative expression of real music???? I don't get it!!!!
    @Ramsmeat
    I concur a masterpiece of Progressive / Symphonic Rock / Metal.... what ever label you want to put on it... bottom line it is music and it will live on with the greats, such as Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, etc....
    @Taycott - good job you are the reason I discovered this and purchased my first @Ayreon album and with no regrets...
    Back to the music....

    i know a bit of quantum mechanics and physics (i mean, im no expert but i do have had read the original works: from Dirac, Bohr, Einstein, Hawkins, Fermi, and so on) and this album is MARVELOUS. Simply the chapters: singularity, symmetry, entanglement and unification... we could talk hours about each one of these topics. Bravo, Ayreon!

    This is the album that get me into Ayreon! In 2014, I was looking for a new band to listen to and this album was recommended to me by amazon. I then proceeded to do some research on this album/Arjen and it sounded like something I would enjoy. So, I decided to go on UA-cam to listen to it and I immediately fell in love with it!! I spent all day listening to the album on a constant loop. In the proceeding days/weeks I explored the rest of Arjen's work!

    Came here after listenling to SoulSecret (worth checking out if you are into ProgressiveMetal).
    Was playing Civ5, having Autoplay on, Heard James LaBrie singing after SoulSecrets album "4" faded out, taped out of the game to look up wich band i was listening to, saw it was Ayreon`s "The Source", wikipedia`ed it, got curious and decided to give it a closer, second look.
    Got Excited and listend to this Album, without the game running, just greedily reading the discription and Lyrics to catch up with the storry.
    Thanks @Taycott for your effort you put into to showing us, what is is going on. Please keep it up.Ayreon really is an enriching musical experience.
    In conclusion, Ayreon is an aweseome project, with really good ideas and musical conversion of the storries intended to tell.
    Really one great piece of musicianship!
    PS: Never heard of Toehider, but the Singer forking hits it!

      Well, when Mr. L first made his albums he licensed them to different record companies over the years.
      Those record companies have the ability to put restrictions on UA-cam to either allow or block certain songs. Some of the record companies allowed their albums on UA-cam, while others blocked them.
      The thing is though, Arjen has recently re-licensed all his albums (except ToE) to Mascot Label Group, but the old record labels are still blocking songs from 01 and Electric Castle. They shouldn't be able to do this obviously because they no longer own the rights to those albums, but alas, they have done it.
      So I've just been shooting e-mails around trying to update these album licenses on UA-cam, but I think it's going to take awhile. I'm still working on Electric Castle rn though hoping that I'll get things sorted out before I'm finished. So there ya go, massive message over :)

      I really think the choice of release it as 42 tracks instead of only 4 (the "phases") has held it back a bit. If it's ever rereleased for some reason it should definitely be in the four-giant-tracks format.

    • @lightdrgn20
      @lightdrgn20 3 роки тому +1

      @@CloudMountainJuror Really I think the 42 tracks was a key part of the album. If I understand things correctly it's a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

      I find that hard to believe.
      Your post is 1 year old, so the views maybe were near 145000 (give or take). The albums lasts for 1,5 hours, so that's 217500 total hours. It means that (considering 16 hours a day listening to the album, 'cause you have to sleep), it would be almost 14000 days listening, or 37 years.
      You must consider that the album was released on 2013, so when you wrote the comment it was 6 years old. Hence it's not possible that you could have so many views... unless you are a time traveler... are you?... if so, were you sent by the Forever?... or are we in the Dream Sequencer simulation?
      Best regards

    What an emotional journey! I am torn between this, the Universal migrator pt 2, 01 and the Source as to what the best Ayreon album is. It´s so damn close!

      But eventually I will make a video for Human Equation, and possibly some Star One albums, or albums from other artists.

    UA-cam suggested this video to me, never heard of this band/project (I know several of the artists signing). As a metal and prog fan, this is a great find, pretty amazing.. Basically a prog/metal musical, who would have thought! The video is pretty amazing work too. 10/10 all over :)

      @@TAYLOR22211 Funny, after listening to all of them, this is still my favorite. It's less rock, more progressive, bit smoother, lots of emotion. To each his own I guess! They are all great... The Star One albums are also absolute bomb! Really happy to have discovered Arjen, I got you to thank in part!
