I can’t believe it’s the only one to actually be broadcasting on news back in 2000 So 3801 and 3830 were broadcasted on the news on there way to Victoria
Great video Bevan. I went to the scout jamboree in Melbourne Jan. 1956 by steam and used to see the engines at Everleigh when travelling to the city (Sydney) during the 50's and very early 60's. One comment here, are the audio tracks reversed on this one?
Bevan, At 16:53 on the caption. There's spelling errors with 2 of the Locomotive numbers mate,. Got R711 and GM36 correct, however the other two that says R611 and T320. It's R761 and T378. Just a minor error, Love this footage and remenber the tour so well.
heres something I want 2 know... its that how come ever since 2000 the NSWTM stopped doing interstate excursions to VIC and other states? hell they dont even go to brisbane anymore. whats wrong with Brisbane? its right above NSW. whatever the reason is they definitely should start doing interstate excursions again. for example I have plans to recreate the Western endeavor by taking 3801,3813 (which requires a restoration) and 3642 to perth. maybe the interstate lines were declared as strictly revenue only? whatever the reason is I must know!
Terrific video, great job. Looking forward to 3801’s running 2020 and on.
Super footage !
Perfect timing to celebrate 3801s finished new livery! Great shots.
Filming in the right place at the right time, as usual B.W.P. Thx again. Excellent footage. :-) :-)
Hard to believe that this tour happened
almost 20 years ago from 20th April this year. How time flies.
That long trestle is an engineering marvel.
Absolutely wonderful.

What is the measurement of the broad gauge track?
5 foot 3 inches
Nice video! I have noticed from watching your videos, that some Australian train have buffers, and some don't. Why is that?
different railway operators
