Correction: The coffee mugs were 16 oz and not 14 oz. I should of had ~ 59grams of coffee poured w/ 36 Oz of water. Hopefully I don’t feel the loss of those 2 oz throughout the day. 🤣
Nice routine. I did that for years. Now i use a breville machine that i use everyday to make espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. It steams the milk nicely. A few trips to Italy made me a coffee snob. 😂
Haha My wife and I are about our coffee as well. We mainly stick to pour over coffee. Every once in a while we will break out the french press or mocha pot. I don’t think we will ever go to a machine. We actually enjoy the process of making a pot of coffee. It’s relaxing for some reason. 😃

Great video! In my humble opinion it’s hard to beat a perfectly dialed in pour over with good beans! I find coffee goes good with a good quality Burley blend in the morning in regards to pipe smoking. On a sidenote I do have a question for the master, can you offer advice on how to get the plastic smell out of weathertight containers? Could that plastic smell be affecting my cigars flavor?
Thank you! 😃 Hmm, it could be the quality of the weather tight containers. I always get mine from the container store, but I could be getting lucky as well. You can try washing the container. If I was having that issue, I might try ozone. Other than that, invest in another container maybe. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help with this. Edit: don’t use Ozone bro! Ozone will degrade the container.

I think it is very close depending on what pods you get. I have the nespresso vertuo machine. The only real difference I can tell is that when you use the nespresso vertuo machine, it always leaves some foam on top.
Man, it’s hard for me to see how it could be. I know Kurig coffee taste disgusting. Coffee comes out burnt tasting with tons of bitterness. Definitely an over extraction of the coffee going on. Pods were my first real introduction into coffee, but I can’t even imagine going back now. I would rather just not drink coffee. Haha The nespresso has a slightly different way of brewing the coffee but it’s still pumping hot pressurized water through plastic cups. It does produce foam but it doesn’t look like real crèma. More like foam through mechanical aeration. I will give it a try if I come across one though. Can’t truly knock something like that until I try it out. Now I can see how it is a convenient solution at a lower price.
It can't be the regular nespresso. It has to be the vertuo machine. Im not saying it is comparable to a super high-end cafe, but i am saying if you compare the Starbucks nespresso shot to an espresso shot from Starbucks, they are almost identical. So, for me, the price and convenience make it a no-brainer.

I would use baking soda. Place a box in the container with the top cut off and leave for a week or two. That should take care of most of the odor.
