The lower Columbia has a lot of good spots I would get on google earth look for some bends in the river or a nice big beach in an area that is fishable per regulation and if you get your lines out far enough you should find success
Thanks for the info. Save yourself some dentist bills in the future though and use your tools even for simply breaking line. Your older self will thank you.
Very good info. I appreciate it. Tip: get a pair of nail clippers to clip your line. Do not use your teeth, if you love your teeth that is. I speak from experience.
@@walkingonwaterfishing After finding my front teeth chipped from biting line and clamping lead I started using clippers. The one I found especially useful (and inexpensive) was the Eagle Claw LINE Clipper. It's oversized and comes with a black nylon cord that can be hung around the neck so you can always find it at your fingertips when you need it. Fish on brother!
Exactly I’ve never seen wind like this for so long usually a couple days but now what the heck! Hopefully it does down for you brotha so you can get out there
If you are wanting to learn. your setup is on point, but if you play the percentage game your cheating yourself a little.. little bit more efficient ways to rig that same setup, knots, dropper setup. Don't direct tie your weight, do a over hand loop at desired dropper length then just choke the eye of the weight. Your fisherman knot will eventually slip the way you are tying it. Go through the eye then back through again to prevent slipping. Of double your line before tying your fisherman knot.

I was going to camp on my boat and fish all weekend just upstream from your vid... not with these winds.
Miserable, even in a big jet boat.

I used to tie it that way and started tying it this way and after 50 fish and no slips I feel confident!
Just got to Lewiston to fish the Clearwater. Hit me up if you want to meet up!
My family and I will be down tomorrow for a
Day than we will start making for consecutive trips after that let’s stay in touch
