My problem with Disney is that they keep replacing stuff instead of adding I will miss dinosaur though it makes Animal Kingdom less about animals unfortunately really depressing.
There are a lot of animals in Encanto, animals in the new carousel and we don’t know yet. But the Indiana ride may be focused on animals too. So I don’t think we will be missing out on animals
They’re adding onto Disneyland and DCA. WDW has been “added to” more than anywhere else but right now the economy is garbage so using an existing space and reutilizing a ride like dinosaur is a cost effective way to make change. I mean, I get it, I’d love a new park or expanded lands or whatever but that’s just the way it is now.
Every theme park / amusement park has done this. Universal tore down Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge for Hagrids. They took down Sinbad and Poseidon randomly and there are still no replacement for them. On the studios side, they took down Twister for Jimmy fallon, they took down Jaws for Harry Potter, they closed Fear Factor and Hollywood Rip ride Rockit with no replacement still, they sunsetted a decent 4D in Shrek to a "meh" walking attraction in Minion Villian con, and of course they took down an awesome attraction "Disaster" to put in the terrible Fast and Furious. This is how theme parks do business. Disney is no exception.
Dinosaur ia the Best! Truly scary and I love how realistic it is. My oldest son loved dinosaurs growing up and we would come every vacation and ride it several times. Hate to see it go.😢😢
@@PCDev it's true but to increase it to me it's like to deter some people. I kinda understand where Disney is coming from. But in the end everyone wants to come and enjoy all the parks and not have to dish out so much if you're a family of 4 or 5.
Animal kingdom is our favorite park when they are open after dark. Walking around and riding the avatar area is fantastic. Too bad they close at 6 most days and you can’t experience the night show anymore.😢
Disney has always been this expensive. That’s what allows them to pay employees enough to maintain the exceptional quality experience compared to every other theme park. If it’s too expensive for you, then it just means you have to change your priorities to make it not so expensive for you.
I’ve heard Mr Morrow as well sending out heart felt thoughts to people who have suffered due to the hurricane. Just goes to show that Dev and Nat are both decent human beings. It’s nice to be nice .😊
Animal kingdom is my favorite park and dinosaur is one of my favorite rides, i hate to see it go. I feel like the absence of dinosaurs from animal kingdom will be strange.
Don't apologize for making comparisons to Universal, I think you're spot on. Another thing that annoys me about disney vs universal is that disney shows us these beautiful elaborate concept drawings of their new attractions or lands and they never live up to half of it. Meanwhile, universal's attractions seem to match their concept art perfectly.
It’s very rough here in NC, Dev. I live near Woods of Terror haunted attraction and I have a creek that runs into a state river and we’ve had a lot of flooding in some areas but nothing compared to what my dad and step have in Mountain City, TN. It’s a small town about 30 minutes past Boone, NC and some backroads and main roads are washed out. Boone, NC my dad said, looked like a war zone and he runs his contracting business in Boone. But I do believe in the power of prayer and I pray these next few hurricanes just pass us by. We frequent Orlando many times a year as we are UOAP holders.
When it came to expansion and completing projects Michael Eisner was king. 👑 Epcot, Disney MGM, Animal Kingdom, International Disney Parks, etc. Disney is a much different company now.
The parks are in such a sad condition.. The Dinosaur ride like he said was around since 1998.. not even in the early/mid 2000s did they think to update the pre show video? They never update stuff like that… so weird to me. And the state of that carnival area is so freaking sad. The benches that don’t cohesively go with each other placed against a plain fence with no artwork or promotional graphic design? It’s just a place to get overheated… no shade or coverage from the sun exposure. The empty theatre is crazy they can do something with it.. Something animal or water IP related.. in the late afternoon, early evening. Just sad how this is the state of these parks from when they were so innovative and fresh up until the early 2000s. The last ideas of greatness really did leave with Eisner. 😢😢😢
Hi PCDev, AK is one of our favs. Like you said about the serenity and peacefulness really makes this place especially at night. The floating mountains, glowing pathways and cheerful cast members are so welcoming to visitors. We are in our 70’s, so we don’t ride many rides anymore, but love the sights and sounds and the live animals.. we will return at the end of October for 3 weeks. Hope to see you around. Love your videos!
Our plans to visit in February have been permanently put on hold due to the prices. We could spend two weeks at the beach for less than a short Disney trip.
The Animal Kingdom transformation of DinoLand begins before the holidays. Chester and Hesters DinoRama will be closing prior to Thanksgiving leaving just Restaurantasauros and Dinosaur open. They will close sometime in '25 as they are reskins of existing facilities. It will also allow the Dinosaur ride capacity to be available as long as is possible as well as giving guests opportunity to ride it for the next year.
Thank you for the well wishes Dev! We got a ton of damage here in South Ga and still power and internet issues are sporadic at best. Although you are a thousand percent correct in your analysis about AK I gotta tell ya it was a welcomed sight to see your video from Disney to just take a mental break from everything happening here! Know that we appreciate it! I believe you are spot on with everything that is going on at Disney and tbh it’s heartbreaking. It’s one thing to take away a lot of nostalgia rides from the park but ok progress happens. But the issue is they are taking away really awesome things and that’s just it. No actual replacement just talk of it and then a inexpensive entertainment pops up like a dance party which is fine but it’s not the Disney standard and I don’t understand why Disney is content with losing the very thing that has made it awesome for all these years!
My personal gripe with Animal Kingdom’s treatment is that they have replaced animal focused entertainment with fantasy (Pandora) and human cultures (but oddly only non-European ones) and telling the audience to treat them equally seriously. It’s bizarre and doesn’t foster a desire to learn more about EARTH
The original concept of Animal Kingdom was supposed to be Animals- past, present (conservation) and imaginary. Which would’ve been a good way to incorporate Disney IP (fantasy etc) and the prehistoric area could lean either way.
Hey, it’s Eric from you’re last video at animal kingdom and the ridiculousness of the genie plus!!!!! Keep up the honest vlogs, refreshing and so needed !!!
What I don’t understand is why in your videos, when you go to Universal and it is not busy, it’s fantastic. However when it’s same at Disney the parks are in trouble? The prices are also similar. We have been long time watchers and usually enjoy your content. Would also love to see more Bianca too!!
Just got back from our WDW vacation. We have always enjoyed visiting the parks but this time things were noticeably different. The magic seemed to be missing. Multiple rides were down, wait times weren’t accurate and parks were not as “alive” as in the past. Cast members were great but seemed to be stretched very thin. We love Disney but hope they can recapture the magic that their success was built on.
God bless everyone affected by the Hurricane. Love your videos and your honesty. I've only been to Animal Kingdom once. I live far away and rarely go to Disney, but I am sad that so few people are going to that park. It is so unique and I love the vibe compared to the other parks. Don't know if D23 was scam per se, but seems like that aren't actually ready to start executing all the projects that they planned. Should have held off on the announcements if they weren't ready to break ground. All just personal opinions. 😁
Great video as always Dev! I love your honesty and your concerns about the parks you love! Some people need to understand that you're only stating truths and concerns for the parks you love so much! Keep up the good work!
Dev Animal Kingdom definitely needs more to do there. The only thing that makes the park a full day park, is when it is crowded and the lines are long. As much as I hate to say it, I think you could be correct about Disney simply scamming the guests with lies that new things are coming and they probably really aren't. It's sad at what the greatest vacation destination has become under the very poor management and leadership in the company. But yet they continue to raise prices on everything and produce nothing. Not to mention they downsized food portions but raised prices. I think people are getting to the point that they are fed up with Disney. Not so much Disney as in what Walt created, but Disney as in the sorry leadership that does nothing but deceives the public. I honestly wish some billionaire would do a hostile takeover of Disney and get rid of everyone that are causing the problems with Disney. I really wish Michael Eisner would or could be that person and takeover and get this company running the way it should be run, like he ran it back in the 90s. He's the one that got so much done and built.
Exactly we need a combo leadership like Eisner/wells again. Having only the CEO who has been only business focused is hurting the parks. And if the reports about who could be the next CEO are true it’s just going to be the same again and probably worst than Chapek. Honestly I think it’s why IP is being put in every park with a thin reason why. They are intellectually bankrupt and refuse to give imagineers free rein. Like does encanto really need to be in Animal Kingdom? No
IMO, I think their plan is to just accept that Universal is gonna kick their butts for the next few years, and then try and save as much money as they can. Then try and compete again after the Uni hype dies down.
It was me who shouted good afternoon my friends when i saw you filming your outro! It was hella cool to see you and quote you in person! Thats us back in the UK now. Stay safe over the next few days!
Disney is struggling meeting environmental standards, that is why no construction has started. The greater issue is a lack of interest in Disney IP compared to Universal IP.
Just left Animal Kingdom before watching this. Wait times were insanely low across all parks tbh. I think the post-COVID demand is officially gone and people are realizing that the product isn't high quality rn. The amount of friends and family members, who aren't big disney fans that ask me about the missing "disney Difference" is telling. With that being said, I love how laid back DAK has been. I'll ride Dinosaur all day long w that 5 minute wait. (Plus I swear my ridethrough today had effects working that I haven't seen in years lol)
I honestly can say that cast members are why I always go back too. I’ve had some of the best times sitting at bars and chatting with the cast members, fun interactions with performers and other workers at the parks ❤️
Disney has priced themselves out for most locals. I cant see myself going back and i live 2 hours away. I love Universal and they want both the locals and the tourists.
Those prices are stupid! They might get people to pay, but they'll leave feeling it wasn't worth it! I guess they are running it into the ground because this is untenable.
So first, I thought Josh Damaro said plans were in motion…that could just be the mockup lol I appreciate your thoughts, but I do think we need realistic expectations. They had plans on plans at the D23 Expo. They can’t do everything at one time. Plus, they just laid off a lot of people, and we don’t know how that will impact the parks. I’m just happily enjoying the magic anytime I get to go. 😊
When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the Resort rope-drop crowd was fairly thick at the gate, but once the rope dropped, everybody seemed to scurry for Pandora. Dinoland was just deserted and Dinosaur was a walk on. As I headed around the park to the right for a counterclockwise orbit, the crowd gradually grew. I eventually ended up in Pandora. Closer to noon, the crowd level was rising, busy but not unmanageable. I ended up riding everything I wanted, and was done by maybe 2:00pm. So while I did everything I wanted to at a leisurely pace, I can see how it's a half-day park. Maybe with the Dinoland refurbishment, maybe there will be a little more to do, but it will be interesting to see if they reskin Dinosaur and just level everything else in favor of Encanto & Coco. It sounds like what they're going to do is reskin a ride and replace Ceratops Spin with a carrousel. The playground gives kids a place to burn off energy, but aside from carnival games, there's not much to do there for adults.
I couldn’t agree more on your view of the park in general. Not much effort to keep people going to the parks. I’m honestly really irritated with the prices going up and up but offering absolutely nothing new! It’s why we go more to universal studios more and more when we come to Florida.
I wish they would stop just replacing things instead of just adding to the park. There's plenty of space. They could easily add the Tropical area and keep Dinoland and then everyone wins.
Animal kingdom has so much potential with its properties that they haven’t used fully. They could easily add a ride for lion king, zootropolis, jungle book and so much more.
Tropical Americas is a huge and fantastic change to Animal Kingdom. It proves Disney is investing big in that park. Dinoland was always a failure from the beginning. It didn’t have the lush vegetation like other parts of the park.
I love watching you! I miss going soo bad. I’d go 3xs a year for 10 years. Niw I haven’t been in over 10. I cry at night bc I am too poor to go ( I’m from Massachusetts) and I r soo lucky to go but u have a great voice and I actually pay attention to you. Great job!
I feel your pain! We can't afford to go the way we used to either! I appreciate PC Dev as well ... great content and I live vicariously through his videos! 😀 Take care of yourself and I hope things improve for you and you get to experience the parks again!
Thank you so much for your support as it means a lot to me. I know a lot of people are struggling with life right now. I plan to team up with some sponsors this holiday season to raffle off a trip to the Orlando parks to someone who can’t afford to come right now. Please enter if you can. I want to spread some magic.
@@PCDev Appreciate it but I would be much more interested in helping you to spread the Magic! I would be honored to help in any way ... financially or logistically! I'll be watching and listening ... Let's Do This! Appreciate you, what you do and who you are!
@@RemainSeatedPlease2023 that would be awesome if they were able to give out one free vacation that would be incredible!! Wouldn’t it?!!! 😊😊😊👍👍👍I literally started to cry and I’m 50 ( I look and act 35) lol really.. but when I heard that the dinosaur ride was going to be ripped out for the Indiana Jones ride, I started to cry. That Dino 🦖 ride scares the absolute crap out of me, but I love it so much. I love those car things. I love going down that last drop at the very end when that scariest- hugest- dinosaur on the left scares the absolutecrap out of me. It gets me every time!!! 😱 I absolutely hate it and at the same time I love it. I’ve been going with my son since he was five and he’s 22 now so that’s how long we’ve been going and we haven’t been for at least 10 years so I really miss going! I love watching this guy because he makes me feel like I’m there and makes me remember what I miss about the place. It literally makes me so happy that I have to go every year or else I get depressed. So you can imagine how I feel right now. thank God for the Internet or this guy who does these recordings every week or whenever he does them 🤗because if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have any clue about any of this. Usually, I’m on top of everything but when you can’t go, you just don’t know. Sucks being an only kid too… no brothers or sisters to go with so I’m absolutely alone so it sucks. and my sons an only kid too finishing up college so it really sucks. I have no one to go with until he’s done. I just wanna go one more time before they rip out that ride. That thing is definitely one of my favorites. It’s awesome!! I’d give anything to go again. Until then I’ll just watch my favorite lucky guy PCDev. Thanks for doing such a great job. You literally put everything you have into your stories even going on rides with us and everything. You’re the best!!
@@LisaSergel I'm 90% a Disneyland guy! But I obviously understand being that passionate about an attraction! I would be devastated to lose most any ride on the West Coast! Especially having done them all with my 3 children! Stay Strong! And I'm 48 but act 12 so ... 😆
I think the issue with the construction is that since they've lost their independence (with the battle with Florida) they're still not used to having to actually ask for permission to build and not be just given the go ahead. Then there is the possibility of the "start" of construction being they're receiving the materials to actually do the construction.
Excellent video! The song at 4:32 is called "Hello" by "Kes" and he is one of the top soca singers in Trinidad 🇹🇹 and the world! I'm really surprised that they are playing his music at Disney! Big up to my homeland Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹!
Animal Kingdom is moving foward with the Dinoland transformation, I would hardly call that giving up on AK honestly. I love AK, much more relaxing and peaceful compared to the madness of MK and Epcot.
When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the Resort rope-drop crowd was fairly thick at the gate, but once the rope dropped, everybody seemed to scurry for Pandora. Disney needs a NEW MOVIE/ ATTRACTION based on Indiana Jones with ANIMALS (like dinosaurs...prehistoric) and revitalize DINOLAND like the retrofuture ideas they had in Disneyland's Tomorrowland...
Not very many things there are worth waiting in line for other then Flight of Passage. Once you ride that, you can kinda just skip the rest. The Safari is nice, but honestly you can go to alot of zoos and get that kind of experience, with almost no wait.
I love Animal Kingdom! With the animals in that park, adding more noisy attractions isn't the answer. More shows maybe, or entertainment in outside areas. I don't know the answer. I just know I'll go to that park again in the future if I vacation for a week. I enjoy seeing the animals on the walking path. That alone takes a couple hours.
Thanks Dev, I Love Animal Kingdom. We will miss Dinosaur 🦕 too. With all the land they have, they can build in different areas and leave the favorites alone.
Epic universe might finish Disney parks as we know it? How the tables have turned, Disney is reactive to universal’s plans and development! Too late Disney once the best media company in the world now is suffering thanks to several bad management teams, 😢
Disney keeps tearing down special magical rides and attractions. They have lost the MAGIC!! I do love watching your channel because you are so upbeat and make it fun.
Dinosaur has always been my favorite. My 5 year old was just tall enough to ride this past trip. Sounds silly but it was such a dream to be able to experience the ride with him. It quickly became his most favorite thing at Disney. I hope that wasn’t the last time we ride.
Okay, so you’ve pointed out some good things here. One of the biggest things you are pointing out is price, and I mean that. They have priced themselves out of the market. I love Disney World, it is still by far my favorite theme park. With that said, I have not visited the theme parks since 2017. The biggest reason is I’m not getting my money’s worth. I still visit the property as I am a DVC owner, but I cannot go to the parks for what they are currently charging. It is unthinkable for me to pay for something and be disappointed. Every year since 2003, that’s what I’ve gotten on Disney World trips. Whether it be the constant construction, the lack of proper maintenance, the appearance of the parks in general, the price of merchandise and food, none of it can be justified anymore. The price of admission is outrageous too. For a person living out of state, like myself, buying an annual pass (like I always used to) is not in the cards right now. If the price of admission was either lower or included more perks (like lightning lanes), it might be worth it. I think this, more than anything else is why lines are short. Now, short lines. This is actually the goal for a park goer. I have a limited amount of time to see what I want, I don’t want to spend it in a long queue. If any ride is over 30 minutes at standby, I’m skipping it (with the exception of Peter Pan’s Flight which I will wait up to 45 minutes) and moving on to the next nearest attraction. Now, if I can’t do everything I want in a 7 day on property stay (remember, I’m a DVC member), then Disney has failed. I shouldn’t have to purchase lightning lanes to achieve this goal. In the years of FastPass and FastPass+, we used them a handful of times and would often leave the parks and give them to other guests having ridden the attraction via standby. Long lines at theme parks are not a sign of success. Lots of people in the parks can be, but long lines are, IMO, a sign that you’re not controlling your crowds adequately. If people are not shopping and seeing entertainment away from the attractions, that’s a sign that you’re doing bad. Now, you pointed out something. The drums in the World of Avatar were not working. That’s entertainment away from the attractions. It keeps people entertained and in the parks while not adding to the lines. The little blue guys in the fountain, another distraction that keeps people in the parks while not adding to lines. Also, maybe clean out the algae. Animal Kingdom has some very powerful memories for me and my family. That Boneyard used to take up at least 30-45 minutes of time, kept my boys entertained, and allowed my wife and I rest time. The quietness of some areas is a pleasant surprise and it is the park with the most outdoor shaded areas. You can spend at least a half day in this park if you do all the attractions. That would leave time to go back to the room, rest, maybe get a bite to eat, and go back out to another park for the rest of the day. Another thing that you brought up was cast members. They people are the true reason, aside from the amazing attractions, that people continue to visit these theme parks. Over the years, we have been visiting these parks since 1991 (both of us had visits with our families one time prior in the 1970s). Over 50 visits and very few disappointments. When things didn’t always go as planned, cast members always make it right. We even had friends at the resorts, I mean that too. People that we would see when they weren’t at work. We would go to each other’s homes (when we lived in Orlando). We really knew these people and they made the experience so much better. Having that in your back pocket is what makes Disney stand out. After the events of 9/11/2001, our interactions with these cast members became more and more infrequent, not because we were no longer friends, but because Disney started to change their policies about guest interaction. If it wasn’t your assigned duty, interaction was kept to a minimum. So greeters, which I haven’t seen in a while, had the most interaction with guests. The bell hops and valets, not so much. At one point back in 2003, we were informed that all the valets at the resorts were outside employees (not cast members, but outsourced from another company to work there). When that happened, our free valet service became a pay-for service. So we started parking our own vehicle. We later found out that Disney cut more cast member positions in the maintenance department (including landscaping), all housekeeping, life guards, and restaurant workers to be replaced with outsourced employees. This, IMO, was a huge mistake. It took away some of the most significant interactions between staff and guests. It made you appreciate Disney more because not only was there magic in the parks, but also in the resorts. This, more than anything else, is what makes Disney such a special place. If they truly want to be on top again, many changes will be needed. The most important one will be to shift back to a customer focus and stop worrying about shareholders. If people are disappointed in what you provide, dividends for shareholders will go down. Remember, happy customers equals a thriving business and that always equates to more profits. Make the guests happy again and all will be well. Keep upsetting us and be prepared. I’m not threatening Disney, I’m making them a promise. If you fix all the things currently wrong with these parks, I will return and spend my money. If you keep on the same path you are right now with over promising and under delivering, I will not be back. I cannot afford to be disappointed with my vacation. It is my time that is being wasted, my money too. I make a decent living, but I have better things to spend my money on right now. I’m even disappointed with the other area theme parks right now. This might change when Epic Universe opens, but unless they all get away from the nickel and dime mentality…not going to get my business. Sorry.
I feel personally that Disney needs to build another park in order to justify updating and refurbishing older sections of parks without distrupting the overall customer experience. That is my opinion. The only thing that can compete with a new park, is a newer park.
From my end because everything has gone up…..We’ve had to cut one park and unfortunately that’s animal kingdom. We love animal kingdom. It’s absolutely beautiful! But in order to afford going that’s what we’ve had to do. If things keep going up. We’ll have to cut another park and so forth. Until we can’t go anymore. The reason we picked animal park to go is because you said it at the beginning of the video. There’s not much to do verses the other parks. Our favorite area is Pandora. But even Pandora has lost their drummers. Which was awesome for the kiddos. Like add a meet and greet there. Just like Devine with her stilts. Why can’t we have a avatar? That would be amazing! I mean think about it. I dunno Disney has just lost a lot of magic.
Agree! We r doing Epcot and HS this trip, plus MNSSHP. My son desperately wanted to do AK as it’s his favourite but when your paying that much money the opening hours are too short and also my 4 year old can’t actually get on as many rides, so we had to cut it 😢
I agree that they made announcement just to make announcements. I thought it was telling when the stock price went up leading to the proxy vote for the board members, then went back down right after the vote.
Its a shame that Dinoland usa is going away since its been there since animal kingdom opened as well as Dinosaur but it's going to be interesting to see what Disney is going to build and i agree that they really need to do something with the stadium.
Husband and I are heading to Orlando for a Mon-Sat staycation (from Texas). We’ve been doing this for the last 10 years. This is the first year we will be staying at Universal instead of Disney (deluxe resorts). We enjoy walking around the parks, maybe some rides, eat at the parks….reading, relaxing, etc. We are doing a park hopper day at Disney (Animal Kingdom/Epcot) but that is it. We started going to WDW 15 years ago and loved it. Not so much anymore. So sorry to say it has lost its magic 😮
Several years ago when i was a cast member Disney had a limited run festival if you will called Harambe Nights. It was a fantastic event. I wish they had continued it.
Yes they do take forever to bring new things to disney. But think it's not helping with crowds cause of the pricing. They just keep going up on prices! Planning a trip for may 2025 and starting to think twice about it just because of how much it has gone up and my TA even say the price may even go up higher first of the year! 😢
Thank you for this video tour of Walt Disney Word's Animal Kingdom. When I heard that Animal Kingdom was under construction, I speculated that it was an expanded Adventureland and then tagged EPCOT as an expanded Tomorrowland. After thinking about the Disney/MGM studios for a while, I decided that what's now the Studios were a replacement Main Street USA. Get rid of Frontierland and Liberty Square and the Magic Kingdom could become all Fantasyland, all the time. Animal Kingdom and Disney Studios are withering away due to lack of imagination--and because they serve no purpose other than being expanded versions of Adventureland and Main Street USA. EPCOT is basically a World's Fair in two parts--the world of tomorrow (there goes Tomorrowland) and a utopian global village. Ever notice that theme parks have souls?
Cars Land prob won’t happen bc the government/ environmental group has step in saying they have 90 days to figure out the environmental impact of the wildlife and the water retention since it’s all connected before they are allowed to do anything
I never liked Animal Kingdom. To me, it never had that "Disney" feel like Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. Matter of fact, when I was in Orlando last week, we bought a 4 Day 4 Park ticket, and chose not to go to Animal Kingdom because we just was not in the mood to go there, and went to Disney Springs instead.
I liked animal kingdom because there were less things to do and I could take my time and enjoy the surroundings and not be running all over the place constantly. I do agree they need more shows, I feel like animal kingdom could have more musical entertainment.
PC Dev, I just returned from Disney and was there the day after the hurricane at AK. Busy as anything. I must always pick the wrong days. I have to agree with you about the rides, definitely limited compared to MK. However, AK has some good shows with Lion King being the best. I hope they keep the bone yard.
I was down there when the hurricane hit. I almost left Disney because of my experience with DAS, but everyone I talked to on the phone and physically saw were nothing but nice. I believe I’ll be renewing my out of state pass.
Safari last week was 50 min wait and both avatar at least 70 mins! Rapids 30 mins, we went again on Wednesday and wait times were the same as you. AK is my favourite park it’s the most relaxed and shaded!
As a kid animal kingdom was never my favorite. I would always say not enough air conditioners and rides. It’s my least favorite, but I hope it stays around.
Facts !!! I feel universal always pleases their crowd plus their fast with construction which is a HUGE WIN! Disney on the other hand always says they’re bringing things and barely happens and if it does they take a decade to bring a new ride it’s insane…. I love universal and can’t wait for epic universe and their future plans of bringing more Nintendo and guttural expansions and experiences to the parks!
I totally agree with EVERYTHING you are saying! Animal Kingdom is my FAVORITE park, and it will probably always be... but what is Disney doing?!? And why does it take so long... especially when compared to Universal... who has ALWAYS had to abide by ALL THE RULES... yet they constructed Velocicoaster DURING THE PANDEMIC!!! And it still took Disney over 7 years to construct TRON! 😳
I think you are the only vlogger who has said anything about Hurricane Helene you are the real one dev thank you for the entertainment

According to the now defunct Bob Chapek, having an overabundance of attractions becomes a liability, an existential problem.
Every theme park / amusement park has done this. Universal tore down Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge for Hagrids. They took down Sinbad and Poseidon randomly and there are still no replacement for them. This is how theme parks do business. Disney is no exception.

Let's hope they keep on dropping those prices in all 4 parks. It may be slow, but in truth, Disney needs to stop increasing their tickets.
I mean you would think they would want to make money right..
$800/day for a family of 5 JUST for pass entry for ONE DAY is wild 💀
yeah Orlando theme parks are pricey!
1 day MK for 2 people is $350. Add in Lightning Lane and a sit down meal. You're heading for close to 1k. Way too much money.
That's outrageous and all about Disney greed.
@@remyd8767not all the Orlando parks are this ridiculous
Disney has always been this expensive. That’s what allows them to pay employees enough to maintain the exceptional quality experience compared to every other theme park.
If it’s too expensive for you, then it just means you have to change your priorities to make it not so expensive for you.
I’ve heard Mr Morrow as well sending out heart felt thoughts to people who have suffered due to the hurricane. Just goes to show that Dev and Nat are both decent human beings. It’s nice to be nice .😊
I think Disney’s problem is they are too focused on their time share program (Disney Vacation Club) and their cruise lines.
2:02 No, the wait times should NOT be higher. I don't want to spend the majority of the day waiting in lines.
Animal kingdom is my favorite park and dinosaur is one of my favorite rides, i hate to see it go. I feel like the absence of dinosaurs from animal kingdom will be strange.
I agree!
Yup!
I’m so sorry to hear that. I will keep you and your dad in my prayers!
When it came to expansion and completing projects Michael Eisner was king. 👑 Epcot, Disney MGM, Animal Kingdom, International Disney Parks, etc. Disney is a much different company now.
Yup
Dev just telling it like it is 💯
Hi PCDev, AK is one of our favs.
$169 per person for Magic Kingdom??? PLUS Lightning Lane????? Maaaaaaate. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Our plans to visit in February have been permanently put on hold due to the prices. We could spend two weeks at the beach for less than a short Disney trip.
IKR? Look how much cheaper ? lol
If it's this bad over there now just imagine how it's its gonna be when Epic Universe opens.
What’s up Eric! Thank you for the kind words.
What I don’t understand is why in your videos, when you go to Universal and it is not busy, it’s fantastic. However when it’s same at Disney the parks are in trouble? The prices are also similar. We have been long time watchers and usually enjoy your content. Would also love to see more Bianca too!!
Disney feels stale after a few times. They try to maintain one image rather than embracing a dynamic one
I absolutely agree with everything you said. It’s very sad.
when a comment is so perfect you can’t say anything more…
You can’t run a company the way they did in the 90’s. The economy and the world are an entirely different place.
Yes but Eisner had the passion like the fans he gave the Disney standard and above he knew how to excite fans like Joe rhode
No
Greetings from Tokyo 🗼❤😊
Its so much cheaper going to tokyo Disney than Disney World 😅 as former native Floridian i must add
IMO, I think their plan is to just accept that Universal is gonna kick their butts for the next few years, and then try and save as much money as they can. Then try and compete again after the Uni hype dies down.
Good point!
Universal will never compete with Disney
@@EpicRides365 You're right, Universal is clearly superior right now and will be for the next decade.
@@juliencormier3561 universal ls numbers are not even in the ball park of magic kingdom alone
@@EpicRides365 both universal parks have significantly higher attendance than 3 of the 4 disney parks, BEFORE Epic Universe.
Disney should be very afraid of epic universe opening
It was me who shouted good afternoon my friends when i saw you filming your outro! It was hella cool to see you and quote you in person! Thats us back in the UK now. Stay safe over the next few days!
Disney is struggling meeting environmental standards, that is why no construction has started. The greater issue is a lack of interest in Disney IP compared to Universal IP.
Great film Dev. Enjoyed that, very envious of the low queues. Nice one! Felt the good vibes, thank you.
The pop up box pops back up even after hitting the closing X icon .
“It’s a hoax! I suggest we all leave.’ My thought on D23 🙄
Just gained so much respect for you from the prayer segment at the beginning
This is what I love about Disney no new rides only replacement of old and thing’s being broken
So first, I thought Josh Damaro said plans were in motion…that could just be the mockup lol
I appreciate your thoughts, but I do think we need realistic expectations.
Disney's days of "plussing it", the "Disney difference", the "Disney look", are long gone. Iger and Chapek destroyed the parks.
I wish they would stop just replacing things instead of just adding to the park. There's plenty of space. They could easily add the Tropical area and keep Dinoland and then everyone wins.
I didn't realize how expensive the tickets were now. OMG!
Dev is 💯. Disney is just keeping stock holders happy.

I think the issue with the construction is that since they've lost their independence (with the battle with Florida) they're still not used to having to actually ask for permission to build and not be just given the go ahead. Then there is the possibility of the "start" of construction being they're receiving the materials to actually do the construction.

The night time show with the lazers and flowers was horrible. The animal kingdom started to fall when the jammin jungle parade was taken away from us.
Animal Kingdom is moving foward with the Dinoland transformation, I would hardly call that giving up on AK honestly. I love AK, much more relaxing and peaceful compared to the madness of MK and Epcot.

Loving the cm shoutout! They can make your day so memorable. Often they are the highlight.
Agree 100% We have been visiting Disney since 1979. Next year's vacation is Universal
Soca covers at Disney?! Okay I might need to make a trip over there!
Disney keeps tearing down special magical rides and attractions. They have lost the MAGIC!! I do love watching your channel because you are so upbeat and make it fun.
they made all those GRAND announcements to stabilize their stock prices...wouldn't be surprised if they didn't build a thing
we love animal kingdom! It's the prettiest of all the parks and has really great entertainment.
C’mon dev. How come when Disney has low wait times it’s a bad thing but when Universal has them it’s the best thing ever?
You know it’s gonna be a good day when you wake up and see PCDev has uploaded a new video
U are so right about universal and Disney differences!!!
Thx for your honesty.
Planet of the apes definitely should be added to AK!!
I love animal kingdom so much
There is no place like the Animal Kingdom at Disney World. My family and I love the animal kingdom!!!❤
Seems like Disney has given up on everything except Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Sad.
Disney is going downhill
Epcot hasn’t exactly turned out well. Though GOTG is incredible.
What is really sad is that Disney couldn't care less because people continue to open their wallets and go.
I completely understand. If I had to choose I would drop animal kingdom also.
AK is one of my favorite parks such a chill vibe and some of the best food at Disney.
Universal will replace Disney as the dominant theme park in Orlando.
I only rode Dinosaur twice in my life. September 15 was the latest time. It would take a miracle for Dinosaur to stay in the park.

Your edit/music for Exhibition Everest is really good!
I do love this park and my favorite hotel is AKL.
I had such a difficult time seeing anything in the Dinosaur ride last year. It was so dark in there and the ride really beats you up.
That sounds pretty sad poor Animal Kingdom
waiting on that new drop , i knew it was coming sooner or later😂 but hope yall family doing well after the hurricane 💯
I appreciate it. We got some strong wind that just about took out the power. Other than that nothing too serious here in Orlando.
I was down there when the hurricane hit. I almost left Disney because of my experience with DAS, but everyone I talked to on the phone and physically saw were nothing but nice. I believe I’ll be renewing my out of state pass.
We have to be evacuated, but it moved in the last hours. We are all safe. Thank you so much! 😊
Safari last week was 50 min wait and both avatar at least 70 mins! Rapids 30 mins, we went again on Wednesday and wait times were the same as you. AK is my favourite park it’s the most relaxed and shaded!
Animal Kingdom is my personal favorite Disney Park, and the disrespect being slapped upon it is not acceptable.
