It's missing my favourite for Greg Davies, "In his spare time, Greg enjoys listening to music, going to the theatre, and attacking the city of Tokyo..."
Jimmy's look of surprise turning to shock finishing with a bit of him being impressed Rachel burned him about his tax history. One of the best moments.
oh my god, the moment jimmy said "no, eat it" got me crying so hard. i dont know why, but the way he delivered that line was one of the funniest things i've ever heard.
Cats Does Countdown is one of those shows where you can just pick any episode and it'll be funny every time. They don't age, they are always consistently good. Just watch any episode, from any series, and you're guaranteed a good time.
Well, you're not guaranteed such a good time if you see the dreaded "This video contains content from Channel 4, who have blocked it in your country" 😄
Jimmy mentioned something about Danny's poor acting, but said his acting was great because he's actually a 50 year old Jamaican lady, not a white dude from the UK.
tokega Taskmaster stretches the meaning of panel shows, I'm not even sure it can be classified as a panel show. It's a bit like people from Essex and Humans.
Especially with his brilliant impersonation of Rudolf Hess with the pathetic forced laugh. What is he for? I think we should be told. Just how did he get that rich in the first place? Nazi gold?
The Captain America joke is amazing, even more so when you realise Jimmy couldn't have written it ahead of time because he wouldn't know if Freddie would be wearing glasses
it's funny but Jimmy just paid an accountant to sort out his money. It was probably the accountants idea to take advantage of our shitty overzealous, completely irrelevent 11,000 page tax policy. You could scale down the whole tax policy to 20 bullet points. But civil servants are too lazy to actually do anything in their 9 to 5 job.
Could someone help explain what happened at this point? Was Jimmy actually cross at Roisin or? Sorry I'm a squabbler and the joke went right over my head :( but I'm dying to understand it
Hey Channel 4, you guys do a great job of making these highlight videos. I know it's your own property but it seems you care about it and us fans of the show so thank you.
Jimmys joke about Danny Dyer being a 50 year old Jamaican lady is just the reverse of his joke about Reginald D Hunter being a 22 year old white woman from Essex.
Which is almost the reverse of one of his old jokes that went like this. "A lot of people ask me what I was like in school. So I tell them, I was a fourteen year old black girl"
I've watched this sporadically in TV here in Aus when I get down time, recently discoved this YT channel and watching all of these best of's.. I've literally never pissed myself laughing so hard... these guys are wonderful to watch... Love English Comedy... It all started with The Office... Thankyou for putting these up... You've lightened up a cranky old 45 year old disillusioned with life ;)
what do you mean? Is he scripting what the players will say? One of my favourite comedians, Stewart Lee, was pretty shit at panel shows. He was scolded by Lee Mack because of that. That would suggest that it actually favours quick wit rather than prepared jokes. Yes, every panel show might be different. (In this respect, it's fair to say Lee Mack is killing it at panel shows, but his stand up is tiresome. )
I dare say many comedy writers could write jokes that are so Jimmy Carr than noone would question if Jimmy really wrote them. They may still be his, though, I don't know.
When she said Jimmy's best subject was Economics, I lost it. I laughed so loud, my mom was in the hallway outside my room and went, "What is going on???!!!"
I thought the joke about Rob and the horse was the best one, then, augh my god i am literally crying right now it's got me that bad :') "You know that song Disco? D-I-C-O", oh my god XD
The best is Romesh laughing at such a higher pitch than the rest of the panel including the 4 women! Loved that, re-watched 50 times at least, and my fucking face muscles are so weak. I can't keep laughing but I must... It's just a million times more hilarious because it's countdown!
2:33 when susie mentions her phobia of wrinkly fingers, Kristen Bell has the same thing!!! She even wears gloves in the pool, so maybe susie can get some of those
Possibly been mentioned before, but I like that Roisin mentions that is the most cross she has ever seen Jimmy. He absolutely destroys the guests and regulars with the introductions, but if that's is the worst that he can be, he must be a really likeable guy. I don't know him, but his put downs are brilliant and well delivered. You can even see, that everyone on the show loves them. Even Rod, hahaha!
Some of Jimmy's finest work. "People have criticised Danny's acting over the years, but what they don't know is he's actually a 50 year old Jamaican lady." Fucking dead.
This is a perfect example of why British and American humor differs ...most are people making jokes at their own expense ... and that in turn creates more funny ...
Also, I'm guessing the joke about only nuts and fruit cakes believing the bible might not have got such a big laugh over there as they have nowhere near as many atheists as we do.
It's missing my favourite for Greg Davies, "In his spare time, Greg enjoys listening to music, going to the theatre, and attacking the city of Tokyo..."
@Harry Donovan Greg is 6'8" or 203 cm. Jimmy is saying that he's the size of Godzilla
@Harry Donovan omg
😂 that episode and comment had me in sttches
Jimmy's look of surprise turning to shock finishing with a bit of him being impressed Rachel burned him about his tax history.
One of the best moments.
oh my god, the moment jimmy said "no, eat it" got me crying so hard. i dont know why, but the way he delivered that line was one of the funniest things i've ever heard.
I love how everytime there is a Rob Beckett teeth joke he just smiles really akwardly showing his teeth
_"Rhod was-"_

Go on then do one of your crappy jokes 😂😂
"Here comes Jimmy the Feeder" lmao Sean was just on another level!
Shaun's reaction to "we used to skate together", priceless.
Shaun? You are thinking of that animated sheep. Sean was his name.
Jimmy should be proud, economics is a very taxing subject
yz249 ur proud of that aren’t you
Not for him! Hahaha
I see what you did there.😂
If its taxing, then Jimmy wants nothing to do with it
Groan.
Fantastic burn by Rachel on Jimmy! 😂
nchia what did she say? I couldn't make it out
That he'd be top of the class in economics. She was touching on the fact that he got caught dodging taxes.
I went looking for this comment :)
I was hoping that got love in the comments. It was a thing of beauty.
Cats Does Countdown is one of those shows where you can just pick any episode and it'll be funny every time. They don't age, they are always consistently good. Just watch any episode, from any series, and you're guaranteed a good time.
Unless Sean isnt in it then its dissapointing
Well, you're not guaranteed such a good time if you see the dreaded "This video contains content from Channel 4, who have blocked it in your country" 😄
exactly, its even the opposite of some shows where only first few seasons are good, this just gets even better, chemistry is beyond good
:)
Apart from the all women ep, or the John Kearns ep
“He’s actually a 50 year old Jamaican Lady” 😂😂😂😂
I didn't get that joke, I think. Please explain?
Jimmy mentioned something about Danny's poor acting, but said his acting was great because he's actually a 50 year old Jamaican lady, not a white dude from the UK.
@@kaustubhgupta3337 yeah people were laughing way harder then I thought that deserved figured I was missing something
I love Liza and Sean's little impromptu sketch, brings a smile to my face
Probably the best panel show Channel 4 has ever created
It would be the second best if they had Taskmaster.
Can't believe how its evolved. Keep it coming!
tokega Taskmaster stretches the meaning of panel shows, I'm not even sure it can be classified as a panel show. It's a bit like people from Essex and Humans.
Hands down! One of the few spin-offs finer than the original show.
tokega But its not on channel 4, so why bring it up?
Rachael’s economics joke about jimmy was under appreciated
Especially with his brilliant impersonation of Rudolf Hess with the pathetic forced laugh. What is he for? I think we should be told. Just how did he get that rich in the first place? Nazi gold?
@@Johnny-sj9sj Hah! You are way of. It was Nazi silver.
By you...
Rest in peace Sean. You made so many laugh and will be hugely missed.
The Captain America joke is amazing, even more so when you realise Jimmy couldn't have written it ahead of time because he wouldn't know if Freddie would be wearing glasses
"obviously you'd be economics" lmaoooo
I didn't get it at first but then...
Sebastian Quinchia I don’t get it. Why is it funny? Hehe can someone give me some context? Thank you
it's a joke about how jimmy never paid his taxes/got done for tax avoidance, so he'd be top of the economics class
it's funny but Jimmy just paid an accountant to sort out his money. It was probably the accountants idea to take advantage of our shitty overzealous, completely irrelevent 11,000 page tax policy. You could scale down the whole tax policy to 20 bullet points. But civil servants are too lazy to actually do anything in their 9 to 5 job.
@@METALFREAK03 Politicians create the tax code... civil servants have to implement them correctly... Even when they contradict other rules.
"Jimmy, let's not forget you are presenting Countdown?!" "You're on it, Lee" "Oh"
"no, eat it."
thats what she said
Here comes Jimmy the feeder!
i like how he repeats it as no one heard him the first time the second time he says it is way funnier lol
Could someone help explain what happened at this point? Was Jimmy actually cross at Roisin or? Sorry I'm a squabbler and the joke went right over my head :( but I'm dying to understand it
@@TrungLe-lh3fb not angry. Just a stern statement
Rachel's economics joke was top class
VERY underappreciated, I agree. Gotta know a bit about Jimmy to get it lol
there is no class at school for accounting mate.
Tax joke?
it's about Jimmy avoiding tax
@obglobgablob how was his reaction over the top? He didn't even say anything, if anything he looked shocked at the lack of reaction by other people.
Hey Channel 4, you guys do a great job of making these highlight videos. I know it's your own property but it seems you care about it and us fans of the show so thank you.
Yeah good on you guys
Lisa misspelling disco will always be the funniest part in the history of this show
U obviously have not seen the gloryhole joke
akshay sharma i have n I stand by my comment
Jimmy missed a beat when he didn't start the countdown clock when Roisin started on the pizza. It's doable, I've done it lol
Who else is watching these clips and laughing at Sean Lock!! The comedy world lost a true legend and some mighty big boots to fill.
That joke with Robb & horse drawn carriage is so mean, loool.
Callum Roberts He implied the photographer wouldn't know the difference between Rob's teeth and a horse's.
Enis what a savage!
@7:01 "We used to skate together" Seans slow-mo staccato "what?"
Here comes Jimmy the feeder 😂😂 I love Sean lock, have done for yeeears!
I've been to watch one of his shows, my favourite comedian by far, just love his character
Cian Hughes wow awesome! I'd love to see him live !
Who do you think you are Armstrong
Who do you think you are mark on the chase
What is the name of the chasers on the chase
It’s literally 6AM on Christmas Day and I’m watching these videos instead of sleeping
Oh my god! I just found out that Susie Dent is 53 years old. I thought she wasn't even 40.
Антон Тошевский 53 and still sexy
Yeah, She is making old hearts stop since 80s.
Антон Тошевский yeah I think she was on the very first episode of Countdown in 1984!
@@BasherBrookes Didn't she join in 1992?

jimmy full-on not ready for that one xD
The Captain America joke got me good! 🙏🏼
The thing is, Jimmy actually writes most of these jokes
brilliant comedian, one of best in the world

I think gharbi meant that Jimmy writes the jokes on his own cards: you know the ones he pulls when he introduces, and insults, the cast?
oh, alright. those are definitely his, they feel the same as his stand-up.
Some of the players jokes are scripted too, I reckon
I dare say many comedy writers could write jokes that are so Jimmy Carr than noone would question if Jimmy really wrote them. They may still be his, though, I don't know.
Needs more Greg Davies attacking tokyo!
9:44 It was already such a funny moment, but then Sean Lock has to top it off with an even funnier quip than the others before it.
an excellent collection of clips! well done channel 4
