Just reading some of the feedback on the Flightline page and it sounds like you're going to have a fantastic time flying this one, roll on the Spring, yay
She a great plane Cliff, so many people say she is a great flyer. I have been building her in doors and she huge. Mind you I have one issue where they put the servo arm on incorrectly, so it’s not the same position at the other wing. Rather than dig the servo out of the foam, I will separate them and have them individual, then I can set them up in the radio. Have a fun week ahead to you both. 🫡
She is a big bird for sure, I decided to build the spit, indoors last night. The wings are huge. I have so many reviews on how great this bird is, I had to get. Hope all is well for you guys, have a fun week ahead. 🫡
I love Spitfires Chris I have two fantastic Spitfires. A Phoenix Models with a Saito 82b. I lso have a Fibreglass Mick Reeves with a 26cc Petrol Engine. You will enjoy flying that. When you fly it keep your movements smooth and keep your speed up on turns and for the landing with the flaps down once you touch the runway the speed drops off pretty quick. Nice unboxing 👌
Thanks Steve, yup I have the VQ to finish as well, that’s the custom exhaust one. But I wanted an electric as well and this a perfect size. Already building her indoors, huge wing 😂. Nice tips, did you use flaps to take off as well?
@DadsRCHangar no Chris did not use flaps for take off. I would only use take off flaps for short runway's. I always use flaps for landing as you can come in with more power on which gives you greater authority to put them back up and go around again easier if needs be 👍
Oh wow!!! My aircraft list: The Wright Flyer, Sopwith Camel, Spitfire, SR71, Harrier, Concorde, Vulcan, space shuttle, F117, Typhoon, F22, Space ship one, F35, Crew Dragon & Starship!!! Love love love this Spitfire!
That’s a great list David, I guess we would need a huge Hangar and Money if we could get everything we wanted. ☺️. I wonder if the Starship could be made into RC🤔
Thanks Gina, already on the mend. I been building her indoors and her wings are huge, love it. I followed on with watching the Red Tail’s movie after. More building today, I hope to have her ready to go, as soon as the weather permits. 😎. Have a great week ahead to you both. 🫡
Chris...CONGRATS! As foam Spitfires go, you can't do better than that. Big, Beautiful Plane! Fantastic flying airplane, but requires some skill to takeoff and land well...like a Spitfire! What did that lovely lady say that used to ferry them to the squadrons..."She's a lady in the air but a bit#h on the ground!". Lol. Not too bad off grass...much harder off of pavement. Certainly worth taking the time to master. You're going to love it. I adore mine! One thing...be sure and put a thin coat of flat water based poly around that hatch to keep the paint from chipping. Test a small bit on the bottom first. It should almost be undetectable when dry.
Heya Adam, I have been building her indoors, off camera. She is a big girl for sure, I am excited to get her in the air. The little spit is a great flyer, but bigger the better. I guess it will be the landings that will test me to the max, I still have my trainer to practice more landings. 😁. Only a small fault I have found and that was one of the servo arms had been put on the wrong spline, so when mid, they were not the same, I will have to by pass the blue box so I can have individual control of each Aileron separately, rather than dig out the servo. Mind you a lot of people say they get rid of the box all together. Have a great week ahead to you all. 🫡
Chris that's a fantastic looking and flying Spit. It will fly like it's on rails and land nicely with a little speed, like all warbirds land. Just remember this is not a STOL plane. Jeff in LA USA
Yup I have been looking at reviews etc, so at least I know what to expect. She will be a fun flyer I am sure of it. I am excited for when the weather changes. Have a great week ahead Jeff🫡
My Christmas present to myself is going to be the big FMS Corsair…excited to build and fly. Watch out for those trees, them move around to grab planes.
I love mine chris it flies a treat I've had it a few years now,I took bits of it to B&Q and got tester pots in all the colours for touching up the hanger rash you will enjoy it 😎
Thanks Bob, I like flying my Little Spit, so this will be great, started building her indoors last night, the wings are huge. Love it. I was thinking while the horizontal is off, I could go get it colour matched. I doubt the colours are correct RAF colours, I will check later. Have a fun week ahead. 🫡
@@DadsRCHangar the match is really good from B&Q,I went for silk and had enough for a complete repaint to Johnnie Johnsons spitfire, happy flying chris😎
Good evening buddy that is some size spitty I’ve just got my first 2m wingspan plane well technically it’s a flying wing I’m really looking forward to getting it up the hills I go to next year it’s eflight opterra not that I needed any more lol I see it on eBay bud on it and thought that will not be final price and I only went and bloody won lol so now I have to find space for that 😂 I definitely wouldn’t be able to fit that beauty in my hanger god it’s mahoooooozive 😂 hope you have a great weekend, G🇬🇧
Heya Gazza Bud, yup she a big girl, I decided to build off camera as there is not a great deal, the wings together look huge 😂. Debating if I can put on the Landing wall with the Tiger Moth, I will have to see what space I have in the Hangar, I still have three planes to put together and another balsa build. I really need to stop pressing that button. 😂. Have a great week ahead bud. 🫡

It's that Spitday Fire Feeling! That Flightline Spitfire is literally the last word in foam Spitties. Get well soon, Chris!
