Man I grew up on Tac and even though I'm not really into this stuff anymore, it gives me a big ass shot of nostalgia every time Tac uploads. I'll never unsubscribe.
I've been carrying the Trench Hawk into the woods with me for gathering dry wood, for around a year now. I use a Gerber Strongarm to further process the wood (baton to split, and make shavings for firestarting). Overall the axe together with the knife still weigh less than a traditional hatchet, so I don't mind that the Trench Hawk can't split wood because of the handle getting in the way (and you need a knife anyway, so whatever). The handles are good as long as you thighten them up every now and then, and don't throw them. I live in EU so getting replacement handles is near impossible, I broke one the first day by throwing but made my own replacement from wood. Later I got a nice new green one (original), without throwing it's still lasting today. In my opinion the Warhawk/Trenchhawk are mostly gimmicks for bushcraft when you want an axe but don't want to carry weight. A regular hatchet is better for homestead work that's for sure. I also wouldn't buy those for self defence. That axe head shape always gets stuck in everything, clothing especially. Get a SOG Fusion if you want a weapon.
Good to see ya Tac! I've got that Hawk. As a weapon, "bullet proof"! For bushcraft, maybe not so much but in my humble opinion, it's one HELLUVA Hawk...

Too bad this type of axe head gets stuck in clothing easily (especially if it's tougher fabric, like nylon vests). The SOG Fusion or LaGana tomahawk (AKA model 1 tomahawk from the American tomahawk company) head style is way better for actual fighting.
