One question: how do you apply Mr Surfacer 500? Straight from the jar with the sponge?
Do you dilute it? If yes, how many parts of paint and how many parts of thinner? 50/50?

Straight from jar. Small (very small) bit of sponge and dab gently. In this scale you don't need much to get the texture effect.
