My only 5⭐️ read this month was “I’m glad my mom died.” I listened to the audiobook and was riveted.
That's my current audiobook and I really like it so far!
My brother got me the hardcopy for my birthday last month. I'm looking forward to reading it!
Such a great book!!
I finished it last week and it is very intense but so so good and important to read
My favorite book I read in September was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It was a reread for me and I loved it even more than the first time!
So glad I found your channel! I feel like booktubers either fall into a category of academic readers or coho stans, and you are perfectly in the middle-you can enjoy a book that requires critical thinking without simply calling it boring and moving on, and you don’t have a pretentious desire to consider literary fiction or classics to be the only books worth reading, denouncing hyped books altogether. I genuinely appreciate your nuance!
You literally had such a range of different genres this month, I love it! I really hope magnolia parks goes on sale cos I really want to get the paperback!
Surely since it’s become so popular they will traditionally publish it? Which will bring the price down!
@@RachelCatherine I hope they won’t tho I want the same size and cover designs 😅
i love love love magnolia parks series, i’ve read all 3 and when you read the 3rd you’re going to fall even more in love !! the only series ever that has hooked me this much
I’m so excited for the third one 🥹
Loved hearing your opinions about all the books that you’ve read. Sorry that it’s hard to edit these kind of videos but definitely enjoyed it more because we get to hear your thoughts about things in depth.❤
I also rated the final gambit 5⭐️ the way they tied it up was SO GOOD!
I've been debating reading the Magnolia Parks series because I've heard such mixed reviews but Gossip Girl is one of my comfort shows so you have convinced me!! loved this wrap up by the way, 19 books is so impressive 🫶
So many reads! I absolutely love your wrap ups always find so many more books to add to my tbr!! Cannot wait to read magnolia parks!
I could talk about queen of shadows so much. It was such a well written book, I loved the character developments and each page was a surprise of its own. I devoured this book. literally
CARRIE SOTO WAS SO GOOD!! i loved it so so much
So good!! 🎾🫶🏼
congrats on reading 19 books last month! Also can't wait to hear your thoughts on Empire of Storms, personally my favourite book out of the TOG series.
don't worry girl magnolia parks was my 5 star this month too. I was so obsessed I read it in 2 sittings and it kept me up thinking about it
obsessed with this wrap up!
My September fav was crescent city! I’m currently reading the inheritance games, love it so far!
im totally loving Magnolia parks! about half way through and ive ordered the next two already lol
I’m now on trimester break from uni and eager to reas a few books. Currently in there middle of the inheritance games… thanks for all these recommendations!
I love how you read different genres. I just love books! I even did a Middle Grade March this year, and was surprised at how many of the 15 I read were 4 and 5 star! ❤️📚❤️
The final gambit, team Greyson and loves found family. Thats all i needed to hear and even more shes now one of my favs to watch and this is the first video of hers im watching and im like just 4 min in💙
The fourth book in the series will come out in August. I heard there is a plan for a fifth book.
As good as dead was also my favourite in the trilogy! I’ve seen so many people say it was their least favourite. I LOVED the direction the book went in, how we LITERALLY got a good girls guide to murder. And I LOVED that Pip got revenge on a certain someone who definitely deserved it 🥰🥰🥰
Living for your book videos
Amazing video Rachel! Happy October!:)
The final gambit was probably my favorite book I've read in September it was so good! I love the inheritance games series and I'm so excited for the spinoff series the Hawthorne brothers
Waitttt there’s gonna be a spin-off series?? Best news of my day
AGGHH ILY RACHEL 333
I read magnolia parks this month too! currently reading the final gambit :))
I'M FANGIRLING OVER YOUR WWS T-SHIRT
I loooooved Magnolia Parks. I haven't read the other two books yet but Magnolia Parks was one I could barely put down
I really enjoyed Swimming In The Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski in September. Such a beautiful and touching story :)
i’m in the middle of heir of fire rn and you just motivated me to finish to get to queen of shadows hahaha
in September I only read 4 books but my favourite read was unravel me which is book 2 of the shatter me series and the fine print by Lauren asher!!!
Please read terms and conditions!! I loved it more than the fine print (not saying you will but you might!!!)
My favourite book this month was Malibu Rising..... LOVED IT!
Love ur book videos! u should binge read the twisted series I am obsessed!
I read the prison healer with no expectations going into it and it was the best!! I love going into books not knowing anything and this book ended up being a 5 star read for me
Hii Rachel! I looove your videos!🥰🥰 do you edit with Final cut? I love everything you do, you are my fave!
Prison healer is on my list. I ordered the first book, preordered the second. The third doesn’t come out till next year so I’m waiting
love love this. but I have to ask, where is your shirt from?! it’s so cute!!
I picked up “The Kingdom” by Jess Rothenburg just cause it looked interesting (had seen NO reviews about it) and absolutely loved it!!
Oooooh I’ve gotta check it out! 😮
i’ve been putting off reading magnolia parks because of all the mixed reviews, maybe october will be the month of reading it!
I need to read Carrie Soto is Back. I have the Barnes and Noble exclusive edition where the author has signed it. I got it through pre-order. My 5 star reads this month are:
Atomic Habits by James Clear
Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
Babel by R.F Kuang
I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy (the audiobook is so good!)
Those are the books that stick out to me.
Currently reading:
The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake
The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand
Give me More by Sara Cate (Kindle read)
I did not read the Shadow and Bone Trilogy before reading the Six of Crows series and I was fine.
Love this! ❤️ your videos are always so helpful for me😆Also, where did you get your shirt?? It’s so cute!
Thank you! It’s merch from my favourite podcast - What we said!
omg i love your shirt
Thank youuuu! 🥰
my favourite book this month was verity really enjoyed it 🙂
I recently finished both Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz AND The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. I enjoyed both and I'm interested to hear what other people thought❤
You’ve convinced me to read magnolia parks now.
funnily enough, Apples never fall is also centred around tennis! I didn't love it as much as Big little lies or 9 perfect strangers though
my year of rest and relaxation is so strange to me because I didn’t think I enjoyed it but I have not stopped thinking about it since
I feel the same!!! Like did I enjoy it?? It was definitely fascinating
TEAM GREYSON!! THANK GOD. I would be soooo sad if you weren’t bc our taste are actually soooo similar 😭😭
I just finished ‘one of the girls’ by Lucy Clarke - SO GOOD!
I enjoyed Wild Place by Christian White! Love a good mystery
I think the main reason why so many people hate Magnolia Parks is bc they go into it thinking it’s a romance since it’s marketed as a romance. I personally loved it bc I thought it was such an accurate representation of a toxic relationship where from the outside it’s so easy to judge them cause it’s so obvious that they’re not good for each other but for whatever reason they just absolutely cannot stay away from each other. & at one point they actually became very aware that what they have going on isn’t “romantic” like they explicitly say that their relationship & their feelings for each other isn’t cute in any way. I really enjoy how it explores what “love” means how it pushes the boundaries. It also was just extremely entertaining 😂
i was the EXACT same w the atlas six! i “dnf”d it last year bc i was SO bored & couldn’t get through it, then picked it up again this year and finished it. it was good but i couldn’t give it a rating bc it put me into a slump for literally several months
magnolia parks supremacy !!!! my favorite series ever
As a huge tennis fan I loooooved Carrie Soto, read it in one day! Easy 5 stars. I did think you’d need some prior knowledge of tennis to really enjoy it though
Very much agreed with you Loz! Carrie Soto is now my 2nd fav TJR read, behind Evelyn Hugo ❤
Totally agree with your thoughts on AGGGTM series. It was definitely good, but not 5 stars for me
You have the most beautiful accemt and voice ever 💗
Ive been in such a bad book slump. Im hoping i can get out of it soon
that WWS tshirt tho!!!!!!!! ❤
I highly recommend checking out the medoran chronicles by the same author as the prison healer trilogy!! I read the medoran chronicles before I read the prison healer and personally I think it’s her better work out of the two, I think the plot is much more well-rounded
Oooh I definitely want to check it out!
Ok I wasn’t sure about magnolia parks but if Rach likes them then I’m SOLD!
I really enjoyed the prison healer series but was a little disappointed in the 3rd book 😩 I rated the first 2 books 4.5 stars and the third only a 3.5, so you aren’t alone with that one!
Magnolia parks pissed me off so much I had to take a break a read a romcom (life’s too short which I highly recommend). But the fact that an author can make the seemingly back and forth between BJ and Magnolia not boring and instead illicit so much anger from me just makes her worth the hype. I’ve never had to hold myself back from reading a book so I can read it on a weekend that I’m free to be pissed off again
I love gossip girl and Chuck/Blair were my fave but I couldn't get past the 2nd page of Magnolia parks. I may go back and try again at some point but I think it's the writing and all the excessive descriptions of outfits that I couldn't get past. I was really hoping to like them!
It seems like people either love the writing or hate it! So interesting!!
@@RachelCatherine Definitely! I'll have to give it another try at some point lol
Wow, I wish I could read this many books. It takes me a month to read 1 book since I read slow and also am busy!
It doesn’t matter how many you read! As long as you’re enjoying it! 😊
@@RachelCatherine definitely, just have so many books on my tbr because it takes longer to read!
Please read All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata. It is so amazing
Out of context question, where did you get your pink tshirt?? Thanks!
It’s merch from my favourite podcast! What We Said! 🥰
goddamnit based on reviews I wasn't going to go for magnolia parks but now I'm not sure 😂
Hey Rachel Catherine I love your vlogs so much and please put a heart on this comment and I’m currently reading this book called fable by Adrienne young and I might get her second novel namesake.
“So bad that it’s good” my thoughts after reading all 3 books that are out in Magnolia parks U lol 🙋🏼♀️📚😂
I READ 4 BOOKS THIS MONTH BECAUSE I WAS IN THE WORST READING SLUMP AFTER READING THINGS WE NEVER GOT OVER AND CONFESS
I spy that WWS merch 👀🫶
omg i’m here early i live in brisbane to lol
🥰
omg she replied and hearted it thankyou so much Rachel
Wait September 19 is my birthday
Just because you like a book doesn't mean you agree with what is happening inside. You said it perfectly. It is entertainment.
Magnolia parks is my new life😭
🌸🌸
I have not finish one because I’m lazy
…but did you finish Bunny?!
Yep! In one of my previous wrap ups xx
Am I dumb or is your shirt what we said podcast merch?!
It is!! 🧡
🥰🥰🥰
I have had the atlas six for 2 years but every single word i came across, i had to google it…
Atlas 6 was my nemesis as well. I DNF’d it as well. I think it got to political and couldn’t get past it
I immediately liked the video because of the Bible verse
I completely forget if you've read it already, but if you haven't I think you'd really like The Grace Year!! It's like feminist hunger games - super quick read :)
I haven’t read it but I want to!! I’ve heard such good things!!
Wait do you have a Goodreads??
No sorry! Xx
All good love the vid xx
my physical tbr:
my killer vacation
the woman in the window
hunger games series
verity
without merit
beach reads
the cousins
nothing more to tell
a court of tornes and roses
solitare
the diary of a young girl
good girls guide to murder
all the bright places
big little lies
wonder
😍
Magnolia parks is $20 USD
Lời hát của Đức Phúc nghe rất là nhẹ nhàng luôn.
i love tjr, but i had to dnf carrie soto is back, i found it so boring 😭😭
The second half was significantly better in my opinion 👀 but fair enough!! Everyone has different taste! 🥰
@@RachelCatherine i’ll have to pick it back up! :)
Haha I love problematic, morally grey, toxic books if done right. I like to read them and just live through it in the fictional world, but in the real world that’s obviously a different story
I feel like the 'i read 19 books' and stats kinda thing, takes some of the enjoyment out of reading. Like almost like you're just reading to get the numbers up kinda thing
I can promise you I’m not reading for the numbers 😂 & I can promise you I had a lot of fun reading these! But like I said at the beginning, I don’t think reading this many books per month will become a normal thing for me xx
no hate but a happy ending is kinda the biggest spoiler you can get
The atlas six was awful. It was way to hyped up
