This is the coolest little dude I know as a cartoon. I love Bugs Bunny , but The Pink Panther has some moves. He got some Soul in them little pink bones. 🙊
After more than nine years at NBC,America's favorite Feline and all of his pals moved from NBC to ABC in 1978 with a new format titled "The All-New Pink Panther Show",which had all new animated shorts that were also released in theatres. 1979 mark the last Pink Panther theatrical short to be released in theatres.
Who says that limited animation can't be cool and creative? The Pink Panther's moves are looped and cycled, but so original and fun to watch. I remember watching this on ABC in third grade, just before the Weekend Specials and American Bandstand. A great swan song for DePatie-Freleng before David and Friz sold the studio to Marvel Comics.
@@cubdukat I suspect the sale happened before MGM bought UA. Transamerica was beginning to meddle with UA, at one point even wanting to phase out the historic name, which drove the original board of creatives to leave together and start Orion Pictures. Wouldn't be surprised if DePatie-Freleng found out UA wasn't going to back any more projects and that's when they cashed out to Marvel.
Both happened around the same time so yeah either UA wasn't going to finance more projects or they asked MGM while their merger was taking place and they declined. According to David DePatie, they practically were priced out of the animation business around the time the UA and MGM merger was taking place so they decided to find someone willing to take over the studio which ultimately became Marvel.
I loved pink panther to this day, sad boomerang took it down hopefully we can see it again but however I do have a Mexican channel that airs this so I'm happy

32 seconds: I was in my mid twenties with three kids and used to practice this move (unsuccessfully) every Saturday evening when the show finished, much to my wife's amusement. I could never fully enjoy the PP show, as it always came on after either Dr Who or Star Trek (in the UK) and I was so crushed that they had finished, the PP seemed like an anti-climax. But then came...shudder...the NEWS.
This series produced all new animated shorts that was also seen on television and in the theatres. Only 16 episodes were produced for ABC from September 9, 1978 until May 26, 1979 for DFE Films(DePatie-Freleng Productions).
This ending was also used in a syndicated block of The Pink Panther Show that included Misterjaw, Texas Toads, and Blue Aardvark, but no Crazylegs Crane. The logo used, if I remember correctly, was "United Artists Television Distribution" using the usual Impact typeface. I think by that time, they had already parted ways with Transamerica.
After the show ended, United Artists decided to redo ALL of the 1978 Pink Panther shorts and reformatted for the big screen. They were brought back (along with the other shorts 1964-1976) to television for syndication in 1982.
DaLung...DaLung.. DaLung....Hy, My sweetheart is a really great drama;X....Show Lo remember me about the pink panther ... he was so funny with his "mushroom head" and dancing the pink panther dance ^_^ :D:))
lol he does! ^_^ But it's so hard to learn from the video for me because Pink Panther is moving to quick for me! XD Lol. I hope we can find a tutorial :)

They sold it to Marvel? Not one of MGM's brighter decisions...

This was from the tv version of the Pink Panther series from the 1978-79 season. These cartoons were eventually released into theaters.
I think this is either from the last season of the NBC run or the first season of the ABC run.
@@cubdukat It was the first season of the ABC run.

Quizás sea esta la que buscas, la pura melodía eso sí: ua-cam.com/video/0FMpmp7ERHw/v-deo.html
Composed by Henry Mancini. I'm sure they asked Henry beforehand to jazz up the theme tune.

Ladies & Gentlemen, the new version of the pink panther theme song
It was the same, just a little more jazzy.

That's cool.
Now all that we gotta do is wait for Fortnite to put this dance in, which will probably make Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer threaten them to sue them.
The true origin of Orange justice
Hahahahaha, so 1970's.
