I know it's weird to say, but I have to thank you for helping me in strange way. I usually have a hard time sleeping due to abdominal issues and watching your videos take my mind off of it. I like watching your doubles videos. Very therapeutic and have helped me feel better. Thanks for the amazing content!
Welcome back man. Saw you qualified, again, and I seriously look forward to watching you compete this year. You’re absolutely still one of the best and I cannot wait to watch you prove it.
Aaron! I've been loving the content! Your videos have been such a life saver with exams and finals coming up. Your videos have been great background noise for all my studying and daily activities. Keep up the good work!
Brings me back to when I watched your channel frequently in 2012-2013 for Massachusetts regionals. I was running mega zard y and Mr mime but lost my team since. Mr mime with goggles filter, fake out, dazzling gleam, teeter dance and wide guard I did 4-3 but your videos helped me understand the xy VGC format a lot better than I did and see it in ways I couldn't think of before. Thanks Aaron
Hey Aaron, congrats on the invite! I live in Honolulu and I'm excited to see everybody come down for Worlds! I don't think I'll qualify in time but if possible I would like to meet you and maybe introduce you to our small community of VG people on the island. I got to meet Wolfe over in Orlando early Saturday morning and I somehow knew he was there to sweep the tournament and steal our (earn) CP 😂. We're a small but tight community here and we currently only have 2 TOs who are willing to run VG events (😢) which includes my card shop and one of our local Pokemon Professors who helps as a judge at locals and at some of the Regionals for TCG. My group and I are really trying to grow the VG scene here in Hawaii so hopefully Worlds will be a perfect catalyst for that!
I just clicked on this video to start watching your content again after about a year and dude, you had a major glow up in just a year! Stay cool my man 🤞🏽
I feel you, I watch them to fall asleep to. I had to go back and watch old videos that I missed out on because I fell asleep. Dudes voice is just so relaxing
QOTD: I feel Reg F is one of the healthiest metas we've seen in a long time. Despite being out longer than the others because of the changes, it felt every single tournament found new tech and meta changes, new style, and archetypes, and tone of unique pokemon getting results, while still not be too decentralized. There were clearly good or even great pokemon, Incineroar got #1 day 2 use like 6 Regionals in a row, but it felt like very few pokemon were straight up unviable, and nearly every archetypes had some results, even things like stall and sand, while even the strongest threat felt like they had solid answers into them. Even Flutter Mane found itself knocked out of the top 5 every now and again. Honestly, I'd say it was the 2nd best meta of SV behind Reg A. If it wasnt for Urshifu doing Urshifu things and Raging Bolt Calm Mind dittos being... The worst, it probably would have been just as good as Reg A.
@@ParkyMarz I think D was worse, but I think people forget how bad Reg C was. Fissure Ting Lu, Iron Hands on like 60% of teams, the Treasures of Ruin being everywhere, it was not fun at all.
@@Endershock1678 Iron Hands is a pokémon that I miss and I think it was generally healthy, I thought it would've been a VGC mainstay forever but Incineroar and Ursaluna B basically killed it
@@ParkyMarz Dude, I really miss Reg A. The dondozo meta where dondozos changed tera types and literally ran fissure to counter other dozos was hilarious as all hell, plus the variety of teams like perish trap and literally every weather (snow cetitan, sand, lilicoal, various rain teams), I definitely get there were some frustrating aspects like meowscarada but it was such a good time.
Missed you a lot Aaron I check multiple times to make sure I hadn’t missed a video but saw your tweets and UA-cam posts! We are all proud of you and every win you have is one we share with you. Keep up the grind KING! 👑
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you at EUIC, Aaron. Congratulations on qualifying for Worlds, and enjoy your time in the Alola region! All the best.
AARON! Been busy with life stuff (moving and getting a new job, both of which suck btw). Came back bc I missed your videos and I'm very happy to see you're still going. Also congrats! I clearly came back at the right time :)
Totally love your videos. Just in time for watching it during breakfast! Also your videos are what still keeps me invested in VGC. Been away from the game for a while but still return for your videos. Recently climbed to masterball tier with the Articuno team. Let's see what regulation G has in store for us. Never been a big fan of the restricted formats, but maybe this one will be different (or totally dominated by both Calyrex forms).
Long have we waited for Aaron cybertron zhang to climb the online regulation f vgc ladder and provide live commentary as he goes. So excited to watch you and wolfe at worlds this year!
Reg F was a solid 8/10 for me. Started out amazing with crazy team comps everywhere, but got a little stale towards the end with rilla, flutter, bolt, and incin. Still good though. Excited for reg G!
Welcome back Cybertron, You will have alot on your plate at worlds. There is alot of Talent and then there is Wolfy who is about to break Ray's win record at worlds.
Thanks for the breakdown of your points run, nice to see kinda how a break down of getting to worlds goes.. i’m gonna start competing in reg G.. only problem is their is no PCs or MSSs in MN/WI on a regular basis
I’m conflicted. I’m so glad you qualified but you’re also my favourite commentator - I vote you do both and you commentate your own games while watching the opponents screen 😂
I feel like the community is too negative towards using "standard" teams. Everyone wants to "break the meta" and win with something crazy and unique. But one can make the argument that winning with a standard team more accurately demonstrates skill. If you win with a team your opponent knows and understands, that's honestly more impressive or at least equally as impressive as winning with some secret plan they weren't prepared for.
QOTD - I really liked reg f, honestly still feels like there’s so much to uncover and while reg g looks cool I would have liked for this format to have some more time to cook. So many interesting teams saw success this format and I’m sure so many more would have surfaced given more time. Restricteds will likely limit a lot of those teams, and new teams utilizing their immense power will surely pop up to fill that void, but the loss of so many unique strategies on the fringes of viability is a little sad. Some formats, like the worlds format from last year, really overstayed their welcome, but reg f certainly wasn’t one if those formats.
Congrats on qualifying for Worlds! 30:47, thoughts on if Incin instead went for Flare Blitz on the Lando slot? What would be adjustments/counterplay for that scenario?
"It's Will-o-Wisp. It's me. I just probably shouldn't be using it."
my man knows his boundaries
Imagine if he still decide to bring it to worlds and win this time XD
@@cassiolins1203 Man, I'd like to live in the timeline where he hit the Wisp and won worlds that year
@@reema6322 True then wisp wouldn't have been buffed LOL
Hard to debate which is a bigger achievement: winning Worlds or getting the devs to change the game
I know it's weird to say, but I have to thank you for helping me in strange way.

reg a,b,c > f,g > d > e
reason: urshifu, rila, incine, tornadus, raging bolt is not in the game
I have such Reg A nostalgia...
Anyway the worst meta for me was the very late Reg C with all the hyper offensive chaos
