You still producing content my dude? Literally one of my favorite UA-cam providers. Your channel is a veritable historical retrospective of my favorite hobby: Television! Would LOVE to have an update!
Thanks for your interest. Would like to post more videos but the copyright infringement police keep sabotaging my efforts, despite my using the "fair use" clause - I'm not profiteering from any of my videos since I specifically agreed under UA-cam terms to not do so. Yet, there are some malcontents out there, seemingly increasing in number, who insist on taking the fun out of my doing these videos and my viewers watching them. I've uploaded only 3 since December and the December one - Friday Night TV Fall 1996 - is permanently blocked, while the Wednesday Night TV Summer 1969 is temporarily blocked while still under review. The third one, Tuesday Night TV Late Spring 1986, is "partially blocked," meaning it can't be viewed in some countries. If you haven't seen that one yet, here's the link to it, so see if it works for you: ua-cam.com/video/Li4dhU0-YZs/v-deo.html I really want to get back to doing more of these, but I first need to wrap my head around wanting to waste my time dealing with copyright cops. When that'll happen, I don't know. Could be soon, could be in the fall. All I can keep saying for now is Stay Tuned and with luck, you might get some more treats.
I know Titus and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and I've heard of Wonderland. The rest I've never heard of, and most of them had very familiar faces in the cast.
Wow I remember really enjoying The Others, although I have to say that I didn’t remember it at all until the theme popped up in this video. Thanks for the blast from the past!!
I've seen a handful of these- Malcolm, Titus, Clerks the Animated Series (still salty the series was cancelled so abruptly), Twenty-One, Millionaire, and Winning Lines. Heard of only two others- God, The Devil, and Bob and Making the Band (curse you O-Town! CURSE YOU~)
D.C. was exactly what it looked like: if Dick Wolf made a show for the WB. Most of these shows I had never heard of, some of them I remember, the only one I really watched was Titus.
After watching so many of these, I've come away with a few conclusions: If after watching a show's intro, you still have no idea what it's about, the show will probably fail. If the intro doesn't show the faces of the cast, the show usually fails.
It's always interesting to see how many huge stars have a few duds in their resumé. Of course, nowadays every single one of these would have gotten at least one season on some streaming service or other. Haha.
I liked both the others (a group of people banded together, with super powers) and wonderland (a show taken place in a mental health facility) it had Buffalo Bill from silence of the lambs. Chris Titus seemed like such a jerk.
Are those credits from the 1992 version of Grapevine? Doesn't look like Jonathan Penner was in the 2000 reboot, from my limited research. Fantastic video regardless, real blast from the past.
Thanks for calling that one. Didn't even realize there was a 1992 version of the show. I just grabbed the first intro I saw of it and used that one, but the only one I could come across for the 2000 version in a quick search for it is this one, which you can actually miss if you blink: ua-cam.com/video/fuIGQuTYtjo/v-deo.html
RwDt.....First THANK YOU for doing these.... You have brought back a ton of memories from these intros....I didn't know how to contact you except here so I hope u read this.. The question I wanted to ask you was....I'd there any chance you can do what your doing...but this time only for Saturday morning cartoons...Would love to see what a typical Saturday morning would be like...Ty sir...
Thanks for your appreciation. I occasionally thought about doing Saturday mornings, as well as Sunday, but just never seemed to get around to it. There are some sites that get into that already, if not exactly in the same way as I would, but even trying now to just get my prime-time intros appear on Youtuibe seems to be getting harder to do, thanks to the copyright infringement police. Increasingly, they don't seem to understand the fair use clause (I'm not in any way profiting from creating these historical-slanted TV theme intros videos). And that's one reason why I've put up very few new videos this year, because they tend to get shot down before seeing the light of day, which only has me having wasted my time doing them. In fact, I still have two new ones waiting to be approved or refused, so we'll see what the verdict on them will be within the next couple of weeks and whether or not I'll continue to bother going on. But again, I appreciate your appreciation, and creating my videos has been fun to do back when the copyright infringement nonsense wasn't that much of a problem.
it Failed Twice... they had already tried it in 1992... and now that I say that, These Credits are from the 1992 Version -- 2000 had a Pre-CSI George Eads as Thumper... 92 Thumper was some how recast in This too and plays the 'other guy Honest Mistake on this site's part in mixing them up... Especially due to that casting thing
I apologize if you’ve addressed this elsewhere- but how do you get access to these? Did you work in the industry? What do you think the most upsetting failure was- a show that deserved to do much better?
The majority of TV intros are available on UA-cam, having been uploaded to it by countless contributors over the years. It's just a matter of using the right keywords, and sometimes having a lot of patience, to find them and then download them to assemble them into the videos I then create and upload. As for what I think was the most upsetting series failure, well, in terms of ratings at least, there have been quite a few. But one series I definitely would've liked to have seen continue past its 7 episodes is "Smith," starring Ray Liotta as the head of a team of thieves. All of its episodes are on UA-cam, either split into several parts or as a whole, depending on the contributor. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=smith+ray+liotta
So whatever happened to the cast of MALCOLM...the main kid was supposed to become a star and...wait, wait, the FATHER was the one who hit it big? Holy...

Secret Agent Man could have been a prequel to the Saw movies!
So many WB programs I never knew existed back then(when I was 7) until today. Awesome "down memory lane" fix.
Funny how both Costas and Dina would both wind up in the Saw franchise.
Malcolm and Titus were great.
Fun fact nascar legend Dale Earnhardt was a fan of Malcolm in the middle. He watched it with his daughter.
Dale even spoke to Frankie after the driver's meeting at Daytona the day he left to the great victory lane in the sky. Always Do It For Dale. 👌
CURSE YOU~)
I was very young in 2000 so heck if I remember any of these
D.C. was exactly what it looked like: if Dick Wolf made a show for the WB.
Most of these shows I had never heard of, some of them I remember, the only one I really watched was Titus.
He put every episode on his UA-cam channel, in case you want a refresher.
Ever wondered what life would be like if 9/11 never happened?
Speaking of 9/11, no way would they have kept the shot at 2:51 if D.C. had stayed in the air until then.
Titus was hilarious, especially Stacy Keach…
I just finished watching it again on Titus's UA-cam channel.
After watching so many of these, I've come away with a few conclusions:
If after watching a show's intro, you still have no idea what it's about, the show will probably fail.
If the intro doesn't show the faces of the cast, the show usually fails.
I remember the game shows 21, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Winning Lines along with Malcolm
Man Titus fucking ruled.
TV executives see "Who wants to be a Millionaire" become successful
"TO THE XEROX MACHINES!!!"
I wanna watch 'Brutally normal'... from intro, it looks like Dawson's Creek but less serious.
It's always interesting to see how many huge stars have a few duds in their resumé. Of course, nowadays every single one of these would have gotten at least one season on some streaming service or other. Haha.
Eddie Kaye Thomas really should have been a bigger star!!
@RwDt09 is it just me, but where did Fall TV 1988 go to, or is it the TV Year Time Forgot LOL!?
I liked both the others (a group of people banded together, with super powers) and wonderland (a show taken place in a mental health facility) it had Buffalo Bill from silence of the lambs. Chris Titus seemed like such a jerk.
Good Stuff!

Clearly I didn't watch that much tv during this period. I don’t remember many of these shows
How could Grapevine fail when it had a character named Thumper?

@@RwDt09I just chimed in to say thanks to you.
@@troyc4250 I appreciate it, thanks.

The main kid is going in circles right about now.
