She was right though... most acts absolutely sing live, do comedy routines during, do campy singalong numbers, etc. Very different than the US scene - HOWEVER that's absolutely not an excuse to perform poorly on the UNITED STATES show that everyone knows is lip sync. Such a poor sportsman excuse. Not once do you see the UK queens complain about thr lip sync for your life or that when they go on global (especially US) tours that they go back to lip synching routines instead of what they'd normally like to do in the UK.
That and it was revealed that Charlie actually was physically hurt during that. I remember a looong time ago Yuhua Hamasaki had Peppermint on one of her earlier Bootleg Fashion Photo Reviews and she spilled some tea. Some fan slowed down the edited audio and Peppermint did spill that a LOT of people got hurt during the cheerleading challenge. Charlie did break her rib. She literally couldn’t do shit. That Bootleg Fashion Photo Review got rebranded to Bootleg Opinions pretty quickly after that episode was either deleted or edited more to cancel out the sped-up Peppermint speech. Charlie's reveal that she got health problems including her rib break during the reunion WASN'T AN EXCUSE. EDIT: Other tea spilled included how so many girls got hurt during the cheerleading challenge. How Peppermint playfully said "fck you, biyatch" to Yuhua when she knew Yuhua got a hot medic while they had an older gentleman and they had to roll a ball under your feet and stuff, and I remember her saying Trinity also sprained her ankle pretty bad. A lot of girls sprained their ankles during that cheerleading challenge, and the point was that it was too much! I remember Yuhua was wearing a split-neon colour outfit with a ribbon on her hair in that episode. I can't be the only one who had the privilege of witnessing all that TEA.
Aja single-handedly created 3 of the most iconic moments in drag race herstory “Not BenDelaChrist, savior of the drag queens.” “Charlie looks like she’s telling children to get off her lawn.” And, best of all: “Miss Congeniality more like fan favorite!”

Coco was set up because she couldn’t do her original thing she wanted I’m not even a big coco fan but they did her dirty and made it look like that was her only option
Can you at least mention in there that it was later we found out that Coco was denied her original routine and had to come up with something at the very last minute. These lists are not fair to the Queens especially when more time has passed and backstories are presented Etc. At least presents the list properly such as audience first Reactions when you first watched. Not trying to be pc but I just hate it when people explain Coco's talent show and don't give all the backstage tea
As far as it goes about Charlie, I didn't think of her as looking like an old lady lol but that was funny. I know she made excuses, but I didn't really blame her for giving up. I would have at least moved around the stage a bit to make it look like I was giving an effort, but she was not going to be able to keep up with Trinity. So if she was already allegedly in pain from her rib, I don't blame her.
They treated Pearl like sh*t. And that wasn’t fair. RuPaul,is a wealthy, powerful entertainer and Pearl was a relatively unknown young drag queen. Not fair.
I can't agree with people who think Pearl was being fierce. Fierce would have been clapping back with cutting humour somehow, not the awkward obtuseness we see
most drag queens are male and homosexual. but as drag is an artform everybody can do it. there are also examples of afab and trans queens. on rupaul’s drag race season 14 was one heterosexual queen named maddy morphosis and it was kinda a gag to the people and queens bc it’s not seen often
To each their own. I love Vangie but there's a certain queen from a later season who is absolutely nails on a chalkboard to me; I avoid her work, but respect that she's doing her thing
