Our house has a pair of old Liftmaster openers that have finally both died after 25 years. I replaced one with a Chamberlain C203 I had bought several years ago. The nice thing was being able to reuse the old rail and chain. It just bolted right in place of the old one. I wish the C203 was still available so I could have a matching set. Looks like their newer models no longer have the same bolt pattern for the rail.
I've had a Skylink with wifi installed for about 3 years ... With zero issues. For all the features offered an equivalent garage door opener is $100+ more expensive. And by the time the Skylink fails most like 10+ years there will be newer and better options out there.
Yes and that happens also with other brands. The question you'd want to answer is whether you want to replace the garage door opener within those years.
I must have this opener (it was rebranded by the garage door company that installed it but the model is DC2722). It died today (motor finally gave out) after 12 or 13 years of service. I like the idea of a screw drive opener but the Genie 4063 at Home Depot has lousy reviews. Anyway, thanks for the video. I'll check out the recommendations you made for other brands/models.
Had mine for 10 years with no issue. Got it at Costco. For a chain it's really quiet. You cant hear it if you are not in the garage. If it breaks I will get another brand
I have had mine since 2020, it stopped working 5 days ago, no power at all. Contacted them and they asked for $25 for shipping for a new motor. I will have to return the broken part. I have a new chamberlain sitting at home in case the “new” motor does not work.

I've had my Sky link for over 4 years and love it

Judging by the fact that Sky Link accounts for fully 60% of those sold at Home Depot... maybe they are up and coming...?
I wonder if skylink is affiliated with Linear at all because some of the parts on it seem the same as linear ops have
That's a good question. I think it would be worth investigating.

can you do a video showing your operator support I seen in this video
You think that's obscure, there is a lot more openers that you probably didn't know exist that are very rare
You get paid by how long your videos are
Long or Short ... we are always getting paid.
