I would be all over a '69 Impala SS Sport Coupe or convertible, and how about a Kingswood Estate wagon while you're at it? Our family car when I was a kid was one of those wagons, with a 4-barrel 427 and dual exhaust. It was nicknamed "The Draggin' Wagon" for obvious reasons. I specified the Impala SS Sport Coupe and not the "Custom Coupe" with its more formal roofline specifically because a) the Custom body has been done before including several reissues of the 1970 version (called an SS on the box - Chevy didn't offer an Impala SS in 1970); that model had TWO Impala nameplates on each side! One on the front fender where it would be on a car without a vinyl top, and one on the sail panel, where it would be if it did have the vinyl top. And b) Simply because the Sport Coupe is, well, sportier! An Impala SS on a Caprice-style body just doesn't look right to me. Chevy would sell you an Impala SS based on either coupe body as well as a convertible. Anyhow, about this month's offerings: I'll probably grab a few of the AWB '65 Malibu to use for body swaps, but I've built the El Camino several times in the past, and the Switchers hot rod does nothing for me. In 1:64, what is it with the "collector's tins"? I have no use for them but I can't bring myself to throw them out either. To me, all they do is jack up the price on them. Not a good thing for a collector on a budget. I would definitely get both colors of the Trans Am otherwise. I like the Monkee Mobile, the Richard Petty stock car (although your take on "Petty Blue" is a little bit too light), and the "Bluesmobile". I would love to get the '40 Ford Sedan Delivery and the '65 Chevy pickup, but the graphics turn me off big time! Could we get a reissue in stock colors? "Rat Fink"? I'll pass, respectfully.
@mitchgawlik1175 Typically OG is used as an abbreviation of Original. You'll see it used in verbiage related to cars, equipment, etc. In this case, the original camper from the original issue.
Can you retool the 1949 Mercury, get rid of the flash and rerelease it? It would be nice if you can do that. It seems like Revell isn’t doing anything with their kit.
@@CycolacFan yeah it seems like complete Revell kits are slowly getting out of hand as far as pricing last time I checked on eBay and scarcity. Plus AMTs being as old as it is you got to deal with flash.

The 1965 Chevy Chevelle , Car , El Camino , Wagon , Kit is ok , But I believe the 1964 Chevy Chevelle , Car , El Camino , Wagon , With the same body style it is a better-looking car, It's the front grille & taillights that makes the 1964 Chevelle a better looking car , I can't seem to find a 1964 Chevelle scale model kit anywhere to save my life , Also if there was some more automotive in the 1/16 scale size kits similar to the ones shown in the video that would be awesome , With the 1/16 scale so much more detail can go into them when building the kits , Not to many 1/16 scale automotive kits made from what I see , Have to get on with the time - It is 2030 after all & Going on 2024 .

Nice to see the Chevelle/El Camino kits. Still need the Meyers Tow'd molded in green, the Barris Thunder Charger and 1971 Ford Torino Cobra with the NASCAR parts. To the best of my knowledge these kits have NEVER been reissued since their initial release!
Well, no one else seems to be excited about it but the Toyota truck is a welcome re-pop. I'm glad you're re-releasing those old 1/20 scale Lindberg kits. I missed my chance to get a Nissan Hardbody kit back when they came out but grabbed one when you reissued it. I drove a King Cab Hardbody in the same color as the kit back then. They're nice kits, especially for Lindberg whose kits I don't remember being particularly great.
Man, those slot car tracks are tempting. The 81 Trans Ams, Monkeemobile, Bluesmobile, and Petty Plymouth are gonna be getting my money tho. Nice to see the Round 2 Mustang getting some love. I bet I could spend all day in those tooling racks. Glad to see the Elco is getting the full camper. I remember buying that kit in the early 2000s and being thrilled then suddenly disappointed that there was part of, but not all of the camper. It didn't mention it on the box, but they included the sprue that had part of the camper. Thanks for remedying that.
im still waiting too all they need is the front and back clips made since the same kit as the 70 impala maybe they are teasing us and saving it for the end of the year i have the original one that and the 72 impala as well....

Some great stuff there, pity you didn’t take the opportunity to include some of the ‘57 Thunderbird parts that have been missing since the late 1960s. That release looks to be identical to the late 1980s version which, aside from the fastback top, is the Vega$ issue from 1979. The fastback roof looks ridiculous on its own, why not include the customising front and rear parts that haven’t been seen in 50 years? Doesn’t seem to be anything new in the El Camino either. I’m glad to see these kits back again but give me a good reason beyond extra decals not to simply buy the previous issues for half the price. 🙂
How about doing a 4 door 70s impala or 70s chevy station wagon thats not a curbside style kit would be amazing. Would be great to see more of the 70s and 80s family cars in 1/24th or 1/25th scale model kits
interesting that was at AW in South Bend (my home town). Went back to visit my dad there and stopped in AW. They used to sell the diecasts up front... was disappointed that they don't do that anymore. Anyway... I've been waiting for a 1/18 diecast from somebody of a 1976 Olds Cutlass Supreme, one of the most popular cars of all time (I had a silver w/burgundy landau and interior), and the '76-'80 Chevy K-5 Cheyenne Blazer, (I had a white with the light blue side panel, top & interior). Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have these in my collection. I also had a '94 Saturn SC2 in red that I'd love to have, but nobody makes that one either.

I can't get excited about models of cars I pass on the street every day. The Rat Fink die cast is the old Undertaker custom car put out by Aurora then Polar Lights.
The blue Firebird is pretty sharp, gotta admit. Idea just popped into my head. At least for the HO scale stuff, have you considered teaming up with Atlas Model Railroad Co. and seeing about setting up slot car track with model railroad crossings? That would probably be about the only way I could manage a slot car set room-wise, along with a lot of other people, and then use the Mini-Metals body with a slot car chassis.
Thinking an added incentive, some type of metal stamping on the actual card. Prompting the need to preserve the vehicle on the card , and perhaps value increase. Metals , in silver , gold , platinum , pewter, as to the greater value of the cast.
Now On the el camino tamper, you should offer it also in full wheel drive Having the frame set up higher and you should do a 1969 Chevelle El camino and a 1985 El camino with camper

Make a Jeep Honcho (using the same mold from the wagoneer, is not complicated. PLEASE!!! START SELLING SPARE TIRES LIKE JL USED TO. We are sick of those small tires on our trucks or pickups .. those tires are BAD... fix them...
I have to say I like that El Camino with the drop in camper shell and the Hilux. The fastback option in the old T-Bird kit is certainly different; it would make a nice "what if" model as well as a custom car and it reminds me actually of a fastback prototype GM built as a show car based on the original 1953/54 Corvette.
I have an extensive collection of my own. I have been to Hobby lobby in my area(50 mi) away. I find it sparse. My local shop (15miles+/-) is a overstocked old time store. All types of hobbies available. Owner knows his stuff, (cause he's done it all) It's what a true hobby shop should be. Not someone stocking shelves for the day. My local shop is Hobby World, Adams Massachusetts ask for Bob. 😊
The El Camino will definitely be added to the need list. But now we need a 1/25 scale of the 68 and 69 Impala and a 71 Impala

I do believe that is the kit they used to make Milners coupe. I'd love to see them bring that back.

How about rereleasing the KW T-600?, and it wouldn't take much to change the hood to make it a T-800.
