I ve not seen anyone in indian music using that kinda complex chords beautifully. And one more rebellious move. He was the first to give credits to all the technicians...and musicians who was involved in song making

It's quite natural that 2 composers use the same software and happened to use the same loop for 2 of their totally different songs. Whoever buys the software legally is entitled to use such music loops. No one can claim copyright for this. It's a common misconception about the music loops. This is my understanding! :)

A certain kind of raga creates a mood, even in western music its considered as genres, they might sound similar and hence become popular .A r rahman is a bloody good genius composer, he got thorough knowledge every music style than any other musician in India probably in the world. If you analyze it closely, he has made significant improvisations in that song; it's not exactly the same as the original. Some people questioned why he used a Hindustani raga in a South Indian movie, considering that South India already has a rich musical tradition. That's just how Rahman operates. He is a master of unconventional approaches. Anyone else might have used a Carnatic classical style in that situation, but not Rahman. Pure Genius.

Song Katiya Karoon and Genda Phool songs are traditional songs of Rajastan or Punjab or some other parts. Donno exactly. He has also taken few beating sound which was popular at that time. Dr. Alban's song beat in Muqala, Enigma beat in Enai kaanavillaiye etc.
