This may sound strange but I'm here because of Monty Python. Them and Dad's Army has made me like old British popular music. Quite out of the ordinary to someone who listens to band like Marilyn Manson or Slipknot usually.
Oh my Gott, same here, John Cleese n Eric Idle started singing this. I grew up on Python in the early 70s. Different than Killing Joke, BowWowWow, Clash, The Jam, Stone Roses its kwayzeee
Bet you guys are feeling old right now lol. Critical of a beautiful woman singing her song. Well I applaud her. Now drink your cold beers and warm champagne all by yourselves. BLM all the way.
They say every song can leave a photo image in later life. This happy innocent song always reminds me of standing in a very long queue outside Goodison Park on a very warm day in April 1971 to try a get a ticket for the forthcoming FA Cup semi- final between Everton and Liverpool. Someone in the queue had a small transiter and played it for hours. Sadly, my lunchbreak from work turned into three hours and the turnstiles closing as we got near to them. Clodagh Rodgers belted the song out with great gusto and ought to have won the Eurovision that year. She also had a perfect look of a late 1960s star.
@@nguyendailam6703 Catterick was well known to move players on when any profit could be realised. Alan Ball was a fiercely competitive player who in my opinion was badly effected by the FA Cup semi final defeat by Liverpool in 1971. When Arsenal came in for him he was still an England regular. And Everton had five great seasons from him and made £100,000 profit from his original transfer from Blackpool in the summer 1966. Ironically in September 1967 the Everton board signed Ernie Hunt from Wolves to replace Ball, after some great performance against the Blues in 2 FA Cup ties in March 1967. And a dominating display at Goodision for Wolves a week before he signed. For younger fans Hunt was as good as Paul Scholes, shooting and passing and great positional sense. He got Alan Balls number 8 jersey. Ball's proposed move to Leeds was called off and later that season Hunt left Everton at the end of the 1967-68 season. Sadly after Ball left Everton were poor 1971-72 72-73.

Still can’t believe she was hated for singing this. 😢❤ such a banger!!! ❤❤❤❤
That is why in the "Bicycle Tour" episode of Monty Python there's the line, "Oh nobody could hate you, Clodagh."
If I remember right, I read that she hated the song. It was a hit song.
I’m bouncing up and down on my spring.
