I grew up watching Adrian Street in Continental wrestling. Man this one hurts. He said one time about his depression that he was asked why he never committed suicide. His response was I like pissing people off to much. I live by that moto. And please believe he was a true bad ass. You didn't want to cross him. R.I.P to the Exotic One. You will live in my heart till my last breath.
Rip exotic Adrian street one of the best British wrestler ever 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🦾🦾🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🕊🕊🕊🕊🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽1940-2023 beautiful tribute to the greatest British wrestler adrian Street
The original gold dust
He is welsh not british
One of the greatest of all time. So under rated
Adrian was a great character, a very talented wrestler, I met him once at a motorway service station where I was working at the time, it was while he was wrestling & he was a real gent with all the staff. RIP Adrian.
I had the pleasure of meeting Adrian and Miss Linda, genuinely two of the nicest people I have ever met.
He was a great wrestler with a great gimmick and he made a difference. Often imitated never duplicated.
🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. R.I.P . Your contributions would never be forgotten
He worked that gig harder and better than anyone else possible could. As a naïve pre-teen and then teenager watching CCW wresting in Montgomery when he came in as a heel, of course I was repulsed by him (feuding with Wendel Cooley) but then he did his (totally unexpected) face turn and destroyed the Fuller Stable I was at first reluctantly cheering for him and then he became one of my favorites. And, of course, when it came out that he beat the crap out of Jimmy Saville he became even more of a fav. RIP, tough guy!
That was a very well put together tribute to a wonderful man who gave his heart and soul to his craft and his wrestling character and he will be sorely missed. RIP Adrian Street and sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those that loved this great man.
I remember when he visited that little girl in the hospital. I think he was a heel at the time. This was the kayfabe era, and I was wondering why would anyone want to meet him?! They televised part of the visit on a local news station, and it changed my opinion of him. He was a real class act. Not long after he became a babyface down here in Florida, and despite the era we were living in this guy in makeup really blew up in popularity! Damn good wrestler. May he rest in peace.
He made those who didn't go see sick children when asked look like douchebags that's for sure
I used to watch him on Saturday afternoon tv here in the UK 🇬🇧 How I wish I'd have met him in person. But I treasure my memorabilia. Love you Adrian ❤️ A legend, true shining star 🌟 and forever "King of the Ring " 💖 I was heartbroken to hear of his passing 💔 God Bless you Adrian RIP 🙏 My sincere condolences, love and prayers to Miss Linda, family and all who knew him ❤❤❤
Thank you for a heart to my comment 😊
He beat the crap out of Jimmy Saville. I bet he'd wished he went further. RIP Adrian
He later admitted in an interview that he dragged out the match for as long as possible so he could really hurt Saville.
@@carlhague9102Adrian also mentioned in one interview that if he had known what he knows now about Jimmy Savile, he would have beaten the guy off the face of the planet not just out of the wrestling business
Even if a person is not a fan of professional wrestling or a fan of the fact this guy used the gimmick he did to get fans to hate him... the fact he beat the ever-loving s*** out of Jimmy Savile is reason enough for anybody on the planet to love the guy.
I met Adrian when he was wrestling at Bletchley Leisure Centre 38 yrs ago when I was 17. My friend and I were trying to get big and strong using the weights and no one had a clue. We asked a staff member to get Adrian to come and give us some advice and he did. He spent about 45 mins teaching us the basics before he had to get changed and smash his opponent . He was kind and a great guy. R.I.P Adrian.
Adrian lived his life and squeezed all that he could out of it.
Unfortunately he wasn’t the best in ring technician I ever saw but he was very entertaining, no question !! 😅
Yes he sure did RIP Adrian
this was honestly one of the best videos on youtube
Watched him wrestle in 1986 in Chattanooga Tn. The fans loved him.
What an innovative Wrestler & a pioneer in his craft.
Well done on this video, great info about such a brilliant and individual wrestler!
Thanks for this and RIP Adrian, used to love seeing you on Saturday TV and best wishes to Linda.
I saw him at THE windmill Club Rushden Northants in the70's . Great Showman and wrestler.
I've only just learned of his passing, and my heart sank. Tough talented wrestler, with a natural show biz persona, but also a funny and caring man away from the ring. I was too young to remember him (born in 74), but have watched many of his bouts from old clips and recordings. 15000 matches is absolutely phenomenal!
'Catch me if you can', this is a reference to proper wrestling, like tought at the Snake Pit traing club [where Kendo Nagasai got roughed up to his suprise]. RIP Adrian
I am gonna really miss him.
The character behind Goldust
And Adrian Adonis
And Dalton Castle
He has often been imitated. But, he could never be beaten.
Marcus Bagwell did the bicep thing. And Davey also flexed his pecks.
he was also very strong used to do all the penny bending phone book ripping which for us mere mortals is almost impossible.
I just found out..remember 1st seeing him in CWA and fighting Wendall Cooley...RIP to an amazing person and wrestler..🙏🙏
Same him being androgynous in Alabama was frowned upon. But he got over any way
@johnbarton41 "frowned"...🤣🤣..but agree...he was over...and definitely stood out...
A true great One Rip Adrian
Got to know him & his beautiful wife Miss Linda about 10 years ago when they were living in Florida & I ordered custom wrestling trunks for a friend of mine from them; I couldn't believe I was actually talking to them on the phone! Told him he was always one of my favorite wrestlers; he replied "You have excellent taste!" What great people- had great talks everytime I ordered more gear for my buddy! RIP Champ!! God bless you, Miss Linda!
God bless you a.s.
Thank you for posting this. Eyes are watering.
Beautiful eulogy.
Legend...would've loved to have met him...just down the road from me too...down to earth no BS as they say...nice tribute..
As a kid on the east coast we would only get to see Adrian in the magazines. Him or Adrian Adonis but you knew who each were. Glad you stuck to your dreams, RIP Adrian Street.
Most beautiful tribute-video on a deceased professional wrestler.
This man was a muscled and tattooed version of Elvis Presley /David Bowie(and a legit bad ass too), the total package!! Rest in peace Adrian Street.
Wish Miss Linda well.
🙏✌️ From Los Angeles, USA.
Dude was tough as hell his gimmick aside he could stretch you beyond your limits great worker

The original gold dust
SOUTH WALES BOYO,
GREAT WRESTLER,
LEGEND,
I'd heard from his own voice in an interview as to why he adopted the gimmick.
His initial goal was to emulate Buddy Rogers but his appearance would get the British wrestling fans heckling him with a couple of them mocking him saying, "How about a kiss, Mary" and a couple other taunts/insults.
He saw that he'd riled them up and after giving it a little thought, decided to double down and the rest is history.
If anyone knows where to get his Documentry please let me know where to find it.
Peacock network
@@jimmymilling1153 thank you so much 👍

He's a sweet transvestite

R.i
P
Rest in peace Adrian. Why..? Miss you and Lemmy.
He seem like a good entertainer good wrestler never heard of him I see where goldust got his style from . He must of been bold to act like that I would never 😂 I wonder if he was really like that I see he had a wife but that don't mean non
He was like a real-life Zoolander.
He went back to his old work place, not many wrestlers do that
When it comes to pro wrestling flamboyance always pays off. There is no such thing as over the top.
He could shoot and tie you in a knot and he could play the crowd and should've been a bigger star Adnois from the flower shop stole his gimmick and didn't do it as well and he was in great shape.
Wudda made Goldberg cry
Who's he
I wonder if he knew about Jimmy Saville…He beat the s**T out of that c*** when he got in the ring with him…R.I.P Adrian Street
I may love Golddust, but we know who he ripped off.
When I was a kid in the early 70s watching TV wrestling, from old NWA LA.First time I Adrian Street,I didn't think what he look like,He was that good of a wrestler. And all the years go by.And all the old schools wrestling are now memories. And I thank you Adrian.
A world champion.a great wrestler
a human, husband, father,son, brother.Entertainer.And now
you will be missed but not forgotten
God bless you.Adrian Street
RIP.😢💪🙏🙏👍👍
As a young man, back in the 6o's, watching all the characters in WOS wrestling, Adrian stands out as the most skilled and charismatic
