Kaplag: Finding the Santo Niño | Handurawan: Cebuano Histories for Children (Episode 1)

Hey, kids, parents and teachers! We are premiering the very first episode of Handurawan: Cebuano Histories for Children today! 📖
This story focuses on the “Kaplag” or the finding of the image of the Sto. Nino de Cebu, the oldest Catholic relic in the country. The Spaniards, led by Miguel López de Legazpi, took the Kaplag as a sign and inspiration to evangelize locals, which ultimately led to the Spanish occupation in the Philippines.
