I appreciate how humble Mike is. I respect a man who can acknowledge when he's in over his head and accept help. I've seen some... interesting building choices made by dads who wouldn't admit they didn't know what they were doing, lol
We are just finishing up a renovation of 1200 square feet. We incorporated a garage and 1/2 into a bedroom, mudroom, closet and bathroom as well as rewiring and plumbing creating a new kitchen, new sheet rock, insulation and flooring. We got a lot of help from our brother in law who an electrician and by working weekends and nights it still took us two years. We did have a couple of surgeries during this time too. This is all to say you are doing incredible getting it done within your time frame. We are cheering for you and think your doing a great job!
How exciting to see it all coming together! It's so nice to have handy people in our lives who are generous with their time and efforts. My dad has always been there for us that way, and we appreciated it so much.
... Smart idea. I watch a lady who had a huge island put into her new kitchen, and with having the outlets around the side of it, the cords from her appliances hang over the edge to be plugged in. Not really safe that way, especially with multiple people. walking around.
@@KnorppandSouth11 I have them on my island and I use them all the time. Great when I’m baking and using a mixer. But really handy when I want to have my laptop plugged in when I’m sitting there.
Mike ,Megan ..bless your hearts I pray for you all wishing you the best and all your needs, thank God,you have the family you do from your babies to your parents ,your brothers and sisters ..was soooo happy to see Mikes father and brother make that journey a very hard project that will be cherished for ever ,I know how much being with family means .. how exciting it’s almost done ,but most of all ,of all the things I wanted to tell Megan ,how jealous I am of her tub!!!! I was crying ,I miss my tub ,I am planning a hotel stay over with my granddaughter jus so we can use a tub,she is jus like me ,hehehe ..much love to your entire hard working family whose patience and love is endless but most of all much love to the tub
What a wonderful gift, you father and Brother gave you. That's a tremendous amount of work. You will love the pot lights in the kitchen and living room. We had a contractor do that in our kitchen and living room. What a difference in Brightness. You will love it when you get moved in. Congratulations on getting so much done. Thank Goodness for family help.
I'm a granny, so I can say, "Okay they are ALL handsome in that family"!! Thanks for introducing the idea of a top mount sink. We put ours in last week into a 1960 original (small) vanity in our bathroom, and it worked PERFECTLY! It raised the height 5" which it surely needed cause it was so low, and opened up SO much room under the sink!
Just as an fyi you can call your inspector for a site check before the inspection and they can tell you if something needs to be corrected. Inspectors can be a little frustrating to work with, but ultimately they want your house to be safe and for the inspections to pass.
We got to get this construction finished up. I along with I’m sure the rest of your subscribers are in withdrawals from a need of more constant videos from our Knorpps! Can’t wait for the decorating and kitchen videos! ❤🎉
I know what you mean about plumbers working hard. My Daddy was a plumber and electrician while I was growing up. Now, my son-in-law and my two grandsons are certified plumbers. They work so hard! I am very proud of them. You are extremely lucky to have such a great dad and brother to come all that way to help you out! Loving you remodel!
My daughter has those same type of lights & she has a dimmer switch rather than an on/off switch. It’s wonderful to be able to dim the lights on movie nights or brighten up the room when needed. Maybe consider that option & it probably would not be a huge difference in cost :)
I have watch you for years. It's amazing too see your daddy working Mike, but love seeing all your progress. and family working together. Love all your content, miss the kids. La Donna Anderson.
I’ll be honest. Having completely renovating an 80 year old house in phases over the past 20 years, I estimate you’re about 90 to 120 days away from moving in. You’re doing very well though! Thank you for sharing.
It’s fascinating to know the cost on electrical and plumbing for a small home without including labor! It definitely puts things into perspective and makes you appreciate every part of a home. Great work guys!
I love your little beautiful house. I’m number nine in my family our first house my dad and siblings helped us build and my mom had supper cooked after a long day working on the house. Thank God for family . I’m so excited for you all, can’t wait to see if finished.
Here is a bit to think about...since this is your forever home, think about putting the tall toilet in the primary bedroom. It is so much easier on the knees when that time kicks in. I was also relieved when you said the wires had been labeled. I just saw that battery of wires and I couldn't see any markings on them. Once this has passed inspection, the rest will go much more quickly. Have a Blessed day. Also, thanks to Dad and Brother for coming all that way to help. You fellas took so much pressure off Mike.
We’re handy, but my skill when it comes to Reno’s is being the general contractor. We just let our plumbers and electrician do their thing. The trades are so under rated yet so needed. It takes brains to do the work correctly and within code. Some builds even bring in creativity!
It's beautiful, Megan! It was hard to visualize when you were doing the samples, but WOW WOW WOW! I think the only thing that would have compared would have been to leave them raw and seal them. Well done, so excited for you!❤
So much work, in only 4 1/2 days… Impressive, indeed!👏👏👏 You know your family loves you when they come to help you save tons of $. Very kind of Jason & Dad to help, and to offer in such a loving and respectful way, knowing it would be such a time-consuming task (you wouldn’t know, unless you’d experienced it). The house is looking great!
It’s going to be gorgeous…I can already tell …the kitchen and bedroom windows are lovely. Mike’s Dad and brother did an awesome job…things are really coming together and will be really perfect in the end. Best wishes from Canada!
y'all I would save that brick for garden beds. Or pathing in the backyard. But I'm so impressed with everything you've done. All the best from the House's!!!!
I get butterflies whenever you put the countdown on your video! Anxiety, excitement. Can’t wait until Megan starts to put all her wonderful touches into the home! Great family, great work!
It is going to be so nice for you when it's done I'm so excited for you! Several years ago we put in two bedrooms and I just remembered the expense to that. And then we knocked out the brick wall and put in great big crank out windows so that the basement bedrooms would have light. 3 years ago I did a lot of changes here and yeah it was crazy how things add up way more than you think. What a blessing that your dad and brother were able to come. My stepdad was an electrician but would not help me fix anything. He would dried on a piece of paper and tell me how to do it. I just remember thinking I am a woman and at the time I was the only adult here to do it and my kids were young. Thankfully I had a lady in the area that I knew her husband Bartered with me and said make these amazing peanut butter bars and I will fix your late. I had a small hardware store years ago that walked me through step-by-step and I realized I could do anyting if I shut the main circuit off to my house. Even though I can't do those things anymore I believe God was with me each step of the road and still is
What a kind contribution your father and brother made to this entire family affair. Not many people have a family like yours, and it has been a joy to witness in this video. Everything is looking wonderful!!
Gotta tell ya, You Knorpp guys are some good looking buds! I am really enjoying this redo and so happy you had some help, can’t wait to see Megan do her magic! Your video of the work was great, loved the music in the background! I think Asher might just go into the construction business, he really knows how to get the job done! God Bless! PS, I’m a granny too! Lol
WOW!!! Lots accomplished! Lots to do still! God is Good, you are Blessed! Keep plugging away. You're not going to like this, but, I feel like you're going to need an extra 90 days. It is what it is. Going to Lowes, stopping to eat and cook dinner for the family. You're still living life, going to Church and everything else that life entails. You're family are rock stars! Mike has the patience of Jobe. Love you guys so very much. Don't get too stressed out. God's got your back! If you can't post, don't worry. I don't know about others, but I'm binging on old Vlogs. Like the awesome birthday party at the Speak Easy. All anyone can do is the best they can do. You guys always do your best. And then some!!!!!
Amazing. You should put a cute little counter top cozy lamp in your kitchen for some cozy lighting. It's a thing. ... I have one in our kitchen and it add such warmth in the evening to the kitchen.
Great job guys, family is the best. I would suggest insulating all the water pipes with Insulated pipe covers. Cheap and easy to do plus the added benefit of not having to worry about pipes freezing later on.
So handy to have family members who can do plumbing and electrics. Looks like you’ll have plenty of lights. If you need any more in the kitchen those led strip lights that go under the wall cabinets can be very affordable these days if you shop around.
👏👏👏💯to Dad and brother for making it happen. What a blessing family is. I am excited for all of you. Get this beautiful house ready so you can call it home.❤
Love these updates! Had to watch as soon as it came up in my feed. I have been so curious ever since you first bought this property to see what it would turn into and I’m so excited to see your vision come to life.
Watching men around me that are capable of doing both, plumbing to me was the much more difficult job to do! Plumbers definitely do earn their keep if they know what they’re doing!
It really is so easy to underestimate what really is involved in some of the trades and such until a person is actually doing it! Makes you realize why things take the time they do and what all it entails. That was so nice of your dad and brother to lend their help and knowledge. 👏🏻🥰 Getting closer guys!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Can’t wait to see the next video ❤️

Little house big hearts...love it it's not size that matters..and as for the electrical and plumbing stuff...trust me that was cheap...your doing great
You are so blessed to have family that works in the field they needed the Nan to come out and help you that was so sweet I can't wait to see if finished its looking so good even with just the laws
Mike I was in the middle of watching your video with my husband and he had a freak out moment… we are currently remodeling as well and using the “canless” lights. He is worried that your blue boxes in the ceiling was in vain. There is a box that comes with each of the lights and there’s no way to stuff the wiring back into the blue box. The blue box in the ceiling is more of the old school way and the “new school” led’s come with a box. So far he has put 4 up ,,, and in order for it to fit back up in the ceiling he had to remove the blue box….. he says unless there’s something that he’s not seeing… maybe there is.. but he did not want you all to move on without knowing this info. Love you guys, love your family. Enjoy your video’s!!!! Praying for you guys !!!
Your dad and brother saved you a ton of money and time!! I'm still hopeful you can get it all done in the 30 day time frame! Keeping fingers crossed! I'm excited to see it all come together!!!!
You will be SO glad you will have great indoor lighting! Far too many homeowners do the bare minimum and regret it later. My husband owns an electrical contracting company. Thank you for sharing how much work goes into the trades. Especially the hidden stuff like plumbing and electrical. Everyone needs it and want it, but nobody wants to pay the tradesman what it costs him to do the job. It’s very exciting to see it all coming together! 🎉❤
In 20 years it will be Asher who will be the brother who comes to help his siblings with their building projects!
That’s so true!
I appreciate how humble Mike is. I respect a man who can acknowledge when he's in over his head and accept help. I've seen some... interesting building choices made by dads who wouldn't admit they didn't know what they were doing, lol
Mike is very humble and completely hysterically funny!!
Nicely put 😂
So kind of your dad and brother to help. They really worked so hard, good on them helping family.
theres nothing i love more than watching the knorpps working together ❤️

One small thing to think about, it might be a good idea to put plug sockets (I think you call them outlets) on your kitchen island.
Thanks for the tip!
... Smart idea. I watch a lady who had a huge island put into her new kitchen, and with having the outlets around the side of it, the cords from her appliances hang over the edge to be plugged in. Not really safe that way, especially with multiple people. walking around.

I believe this is NOT an option! Especially with as much as you all cook! :)
That's a great idea. The more outlets in the kitchen the better.

Definitely need outlets on island!

So wise to not build too big at this stage. Just big enough. So much work! thank you, Dad and brother!
How lovely of your Dad and Brother to come and help you that's what families are about you have done so much it's amazing 🤗💞🙏
I love the humility of these Knorpp men!!! Class acts, all three of them!!

Love it great job guys, I’m sooo excited for the future. Love you…
We are installing the pop up outlets on the island and counters , so sleek
That’s so great that family stepped up to help. That’s fabulous for you guys. You’re doing soo well !!

I can visualize it now. Your dad and brother are amazing. I think the house will be a perfect size. I have a bigger house and it is too much.
👏👏👏💯to Dad and brother for making it happen. What a blessing family is. I am excited for all of you. Get this beautiful house ready so you can call it home.❤

We’re finishing our basement by ourselves with no prior knowledge, so the quickness and know-how of your family was amazing!! What a blessing!
I can not wait to see it finished ♥️ and the decorating
I love it when a plan comes together! Family is the best!!
Suggestion: put dimmer switches on all canned lights. It can be a little pricey but in the end, it looks so nice to dim the lights.
Megan your hair looks really pretty in this video. :) Can't wait to see the next update! You're getting closer!
Day by day you're chipping away at the long haul. Great job and what a blessing to have family who flies in to help!
Wow, what a blessing to have family come and help!
Wonderful!!
How awesome you received the help !
I knew! Megan would get in the Tub!!! Lov it!!
Thank you for sharing..
Blessings and Prayers..
Such wonderful help, and Asher (future jack of all trades) is going to save a lot of money on his own house. This house is going to be awesome!!!
looking so much bigger now rooms are defined. once you have electric and water turned on and cooker and toilet you can move in and take your time nothing as much fun as camping in your own home, good luck.
It really is taking shape now and looks amazing that window in your room is stunning 😍
I bet you are so thankful for all the help you have had, thank goodness for family !! ❤
You’ve all made such great progress! Hopefully the inspection goes well🤞🏻. Thank goodness your Dad and Brother were able to help! Best wishes to you all from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
