When I built mine for a magazine column I did two changes... trim the inside wheel halves maybe 1/16" to set the wheels inside the wheel wells, and trim the top of the spindles 1/16" to set the front end a bit lower The Fairlane and '67 Comet GT kits both offered the transmission options. Good kits.
Glad I found this video. 16:35 I agree with not having locating tabs/pins to assemble. Just finished mine. I've built many a model and this one rates a 5 on a scale of 10.
You do a great job on your models , I just discovered your channel. I am in a situation I am not able to build models for the monent being so I enjoying watching videos to kind of fill tht itch for the time being. Thank you.
YES, you're correct about the fit issues.....putting the front inner fenders & the springs were like that too, & the rear quarter windows didn't line up properly & they popped off a few times & I had to re glue them several times too.....UGGGHHhhhh.
As a owner of a real 66 GTA I built three of these kits over the years. The kit is nice but they really missed with the back glass. The real car has a curved rear glass and roof line On the kit it flat. And to me just doesn't look wright.
I don’t really keep up on what’s currently in production but if you watch the monthly report on UA-cam that Round2 puts out, they will let you know what’s coming up.
The G T A had more performance then G A the G A had a bigger motor rear end and a 4 speed transmission the G T A had more hp a 4 speed and different s Suspension striping
Turned out great! Thanks for sharing and the heads-up about the rear windows.
I love this kit. It can be finicky in parts, but a nicely detailed kit.

I was wondering what I should do to get the rear wheels to fit underneath. Thanks for the tip!

Great build. Your paint job turned out really good.
Thanks
I agree,I think maybe your paint problems may be behind you. Congrats
Thanks for the heads up on the engineering problems. Saves me a lot of frustration!
I really enjoy your videos they got me back into building.
Thanks
Put lettering on one side and red lines on the other. Great job again and thanks for the video.
Oh no! That would drive me nuts! 😂
Very Nice!!!!!!!
Sweet looking little ride looks like a good kit I had the same window problem with these darts I been building

Beau résultat soigné !! bravo
I picked this one up awhile back too....id really love to have the simaler mercury comet version of this kit they realesed some years ago.
I accidentally called it a Mercury once in the video.
I did red white a white interior and used the white letters on the tires black GT stripe
Beautiful, how do you paint the little lettering on the trunk and quarter panels so well. Awesome job.
I’d have to rewatch the video to see but they might be decals? Otherwise just tedious patience. Lol
Nice!
I did it white with black interior.I left back windows off it looks better I think.
In hindsight I probably should have left them off as well.
You’ll appreciate larger instruction pictures when you get older. Trust me.
