- Another awesome rehearsal Take that John's band did. It's nice to listen to the process of his songs either in Demos or early takes, it gives an alternative to what songs could have sounded like and I'm all for it 🎶🎶😎 And not necessarily this example but sometimes those earlier versions are superior to the overproduced ones his Lable and Spector did.
I do not own the Rights to the Music and/or Pictures used in this video. This is merely a no money making fan page looking to share what's out there for Beatles fans alike. 💯🎵🎵🎵

Yeah this Rehearsal Version has some unique characteristics comparatively to the final version that got released that I like as well. 🎶🎶😎
I had this album,my girl and i would invite friends over for drinks and...well,we,d all sing and dance to it. Great memories!

Yeah it certainly is a different approach with this version that they did vs the final version.
The R&R album was not his best work. It seems cold and like he just wasn’t into it. Sad to say because I love his music.
True yes in different interviews he mentions it was a depressing time for him and coined the phrase "Lost Weekend" as a way to express like he lost time with himself over it. The R&R album I believe was inspired as coping mechanism, as it was one of the things he could do to cheer himself up him is by singing these Classic Rock songs. 😎. In my opinion we only got one true John Lennon album during his Solo Carrier which was Double Fantasy as he wasn't distracted by things going on in his life and he had a son so he was at his finest/happiest for sure on that album.
He also had to deal with the strange behavior of Phil Spector who sort of kidnapped the tapes. I believe it took him about a year to get them back and he ended up having to redo some of the tracks. And all of this while on the outs with Yoko and his immigration fight. The guy could not get a break.
He recorded the Rock'n Roll album as a settlement with Chuck Berry's manager for plagiarising You Can't Catch Me, as well as having to honour his contract with the record company. It was a period when John was drunk, partying and couldn't take the fame anymore. To make things worse, Phil Spector disappeared with all the master tapes of the album.
