yes, once you put it on its not supposed to come off. although if you hit it hard enough at the correct angle, it will come off... (i know from accidental experience..) but it is likely to break it.

the elite versions are all pretty good, alpha trooper probably because it doesn't have the mag well on the side, so it's easier to holster/have on a strap etc i've only got the rampage and its awesome
