wait wait wait, are you saying that the endpoint of the process in this video, is available? that you made it available? you did that? I need to get a Tempera now, it seems. When you giggle after playing it? THAT'S WHAT I WANT SO BADLY
whoa, I did not think I needed this device and not even 2 min into this video, I was wrong. Time to bake some more cookies. Back to the video to show the alogos I care that more see this!
I wonder if that would work on the Machine Jam. I might have to try that until I can justify getting the Tempera. I might have to think about programming a vst myself if the jam supports straight midi 🤔
Wow... I LOVE the capabilities of that thing! I'm actually getting back into production and I can think of SO many uses. But alas, my budget is broken. And now I want to go to Berlin and have coffee with my fave YT content creator, but I promised a friend I'd see Lords of Acid with them in Toronto that weekend, and I don't like breaking promises. Not to mention all the money I spent on a new Spacetribe ensemble for that night 😅
I don’t have gear $$, & I’ve found myself watching a lot less gear demos. That being said, the Tempura is interesting, & I’ve been dabbling w/ breaks, so this was very informative, & a totally good idea! Cheers!
I love the music you create and while I am not a musician nor do I have any need for the equipment you demo but damn does it make me want them and feel like I could create music too
Hehe, you might have done quite a discovery here. I still have to build my pikocore (that it is a sample loop-chopper that works with a raspberry pico) but this is way more capable!
It would be cool for a percussionist to be able to trigger the canvas boxes with velocity via a midi note number, channel, cc, etc. with a percussion pad.
Haha, awesome video. I thought the Tempera could maybe one day replace my Tasty Chips GR-1. But I guess now I need a Tempera just for the fun of it 😂 Cu in Berlin!
I love you, I love breaks and I love this. In that order. Edit: would love to get into producing in this fashion, fl studio isnt my thing Ive noticed, coming from DJing I think working with other hardware would be ideal but a little out of budget (for now?)... :)
This is what I wanted my GR-1 to do. I’ll still keep it bc it’s great at other things. But.. should I get a Tempera or the rample & Sample Drum. Tempura seems much more fun e it’s tactile/kinetic ui
Very cool! Do you have some advice to replicate some or all that playability with other gear? With other granular/samplers like VSTs, Bitbox etc It's the first time I see a workflow with breakbeats that resonates with me. I like that syle, but found it very clunky to play
@RedMeansRecording Question I'm a little different and I'm deciding to pick up an OP-1 not a field, would becoming a patron get me access to all your OP-1 content like presets and such or is that on a store some place?
makes me think kaos pad... and the way you are using it sounds like kaos pad fx... is it "like" kaos pad to you the way it is being used in this outro? maybe not. coffee :(&)
hmmm why do you learn gear so damn fast, fuck. I need to borrow you for a bit to help me push thru some learning curves... ::D great video, helping tons... apparently my tempera (used) had shit on it and is setup in some weird fashion.. Looking to factory reset and see if I can get this to work! Curious, it seems as tho it can effect live music? But I have yet to explore that idea. ok cheers PNW buddy ;]

We need Jungle, I’m afraid.
Hehehbw
we really do
We need jungle. I’m afraid.
We out here working on it brother
This is the most beautiful sentence 💖💖
Okay. They need to add velocity sensitivity to internet gear, so I can more accurately convey how hard I clicked the thumbs-up on this.
Brilliant idea :D
I just love how much fun you're having with this.
“Now we’re fucking cookin”
DAMN RIGHT WE ARE!! Fantastic 😁
Ok, this has me inspired to go record some drum loops to feed into autobreak in vcv. Gonna use what I have, and do some beat mangling! Thanks Jeremy.
whoa, I did not think I needed this device and not even 2 min into this video, I was wrong. Time to bake some more cookies. Back to the video to show the alogos I care that more see this!
Feel free to chat in the discord about it! There's a few people in there that have it.
Hard same. This thing already had my interest. But, now it feels like a need.
Brilliant!! Sales of Tempera are now going to go through the roof!!!!!
This is genuinely one of the coolest things I have seen done with a piece of hardware. Super entertaining and fun video! :D
Oh no. Temperacore incoming
Tempera go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRReakbeat
You broke it 🥁
Wow! Getting harder and harder to resist the Tempera.
Great idea for drums + granular.
Thanks for the enthusiastic demonstration, and happy trails 🎶☮
I'd kill for a whole Jungle album from you
Oh I’m gonna try this on Maschine! I think slicing and activating the arpeggiator while making every pad choke the others would work. Thanks Jeremy!
I wonder if that would work on the Machine Jam. I might have to try that until I can justify getting the Tempera. I might have to think about programming a vst myself if the jam supports straight midi 🤔
Good idea this
Been waitin for someone to drop non ambient samples into this 💅🏽
I put this in a comment on the first tempura video: "now do drums" - I will go bake myself one cookie, because I deserve it
Haha
Fantastic use of Tempera, love good old jungle / d'n'b breaks, another inspiring video!
This is sooooo cool. Expressive breakcore is neat
Honestly the amen break’s unique texture makes it great for fills and harder hitting sections when mixed with other breaks
DAMN YOU JEREMY. My wallet was happily minding his own bizniz until I saw THIS VIDEO. Now he can't stop dropping his trow
I'm 24 seconds in and I NEED ONE
Wow... I LOVE the capabilities of that thing! I'm actually getting back into production and I can think of SO many uses. But alas, my budget is broken. I’ve been wanting to see this since you first introduced this instrument.
I don’t have gear $$, & I’ve found myself watching a lot less gear demos. That being said, the Tempura is interesting, & I’ve been dabbling w/ breaks, so this was very informative, & a totally good idea! Cheers!
love how your coffee is jaming out to the jungle :)
I love the music you create and while I am not a musician nor do I have any need for the equipment you demo but damn does it make me want them and feel like I could create music too
Excited for Superbooth!
Can you show us how you start setup with loading and preparing samples on Ableton then loading them to Tempera?
Hehe, you might have done quite a discovery here. I still have to build my pikocore (that it is a sample loop-chopper that works with a raspberry pico) but this is way more capable!
The piko is so fun
Nice one, this gave me happiness twinges, jungle will never die!
It would be cool for a percussionist to be able to trigger the canvas boxes with velocity via a midi note number, channel, cc, etc. with a percussion pad.
tried this when i 1st got mine & couldnt get it quite right. thx for this and for sorting it out properly as i knew it was poss
ive always been too broke to afford all this shit but im still glad i get to peep it through you dude, super cool gear
I Like this Beatlecrab stuff, thanks for this great video, Jeremy ❤
RIP Conrad😥
Haha, awesome video. I thought the Tempera could maybe one day replace my Tasty Chips GR-1. But I guess now I need a Tempera just for the fun of it 😂 Cu in Berlin!
Oh, hell yeah. Superbooth here we come.
Wow. Time to share this Canvas ;-)
I'll put it up tomorrow and pin a comment
I need this. It would amaaaaaaazing for IDM
Yeah!
Lol. That's a fantastic noise box you got there 😜
Looks like a Kaoss Pad on steroids. Awesome!
I love you, I love breaks and I love this. In that order.
Edit: would love to get into producing in this fashion, fl studio isnt my thing Ive noticed, coming from DJing I think working with other hardware would be ideal but a little out of budget (for now?)... :)
also there is literal tool dedicated to breaks, its called pikocore and its awesome
Sick vid, dude.
Love it!
6:16 SPEEEEEEDCOOOOOOREEEEE
2:50 where's the video of you doing this literally all effin day? :D
i wanna build a set around this concept so many later this year haha
This is what I wanted my GR-1 to do. I’ll still keep it bc it’s great at other things. But.. should I get a Tempera or the rample & Sample Drum. Tempura seems much more fun e it’s tactile/kinetic ui
Breakcore album when?
This might be more of a minced beat?
What in the world that thing is now my gas gas gas
That looks so fun. God damn it. I don't need another controller. Yes I do 😂😂😂
its not a controller, its a granular synth w a unique layout. 1 sample per coluumn
I want that faith patch
Fuckin great outro put that on streaming
Right when I got a erica synths sample drum
Rubber Johnny episode next PLEASE!!!! 🥵
So rad! I’m assuming once you’ve done all this prep work there’s a way to save the whole config+sample set?
yes theyre called canvases
Yes!
I’m about to get one just because of your video. 😅
Goddamnit Jerebearrrr, you know how to shake my xennial wallet like no other
this is neat. thanks!
memories of intelligent drumnbass
COOKING 🔥 🔥 🔥

I love this!
whaaaa that's so tight I have a tempera I should try this
I love this machine, but how do i get this in my studio?? For trying or buying??? 🤩🤩🤩
Nice, beat me to it!
oooh I LIKE THIS!
god damn this rules
CAN YOU SYNC THE BPM ON 2 OF THEM?
is it possible to use a bigger bank than 8 breaks?
can it record your finger movements in order to automate it? thanks.
Obligatory "Come on you ****, Let's have some Aphex acid!"
TEM--POOORA would be good
Wait - where can I get that "Faith" patch
If you're as broke as I am, check out Ned Rush, who does this stuff with stock Ableton devices.
@RedMeansRecording Question I'm a little different and I'm deciding to pick up an OP-1 not a field, would becoming a patron get me access to all your OP-1 content like presets and such or is that on a store some place?
My OP1 preset pack is on my gum road page!
So rad
Holy!
DAMN THIS IS DELICIOUS
I own an otamatone and can confirm this is not an otamatone
Great!
makes me think kaos pad... and the way you are using it sounds like kaos pad fx... is it "like" kaos pad to you the way it is being used in this outro? maybe not. coffee :(&)
Goes and looks up tempura 🍣
Can Tempera work as a Ableton session type sample player?
That's exactly what I'm thinking to try now. Basically I know it can it's just a matter of how to pull it off and prove it.
That's so damn cool
Let's gooooooooo
sick!
hmmm why do you learn gear so damn fast, fuck. I need to borrow you for a bit to help me push thru some learning curves... ::D great video, helping tons... apparently my tempera (used) had shit on it and is setup in some weird fashion.. Looking to factory reset and see if I can get this to work!

The Temperas are turning my drum breaks gay!

Yaaay jungle
