Don Harris - 2010 USEF Lifetime Achievement Award

A tribute to Don Harris, winner of the Jimmy A. Williams Trophy for the 2010 USEF Lifetime Achievement Award. The name "Don Harris" is a mainstay in the American Saddlebred World, and is associated with champion horses like CH Imperator, CH Sultan's Starina and Giddy Up Go. Don's tribute video and award were presented at the Pegasus Awards Gala on January 22, 2011, as part of the 2011 USEF Annual Meeting in Lexington, KY.

I never worked for him as a caretaker but always knew him to be a great trainer and man.I had several friends who worked for him, many years ago, 30+ years ago. he was admired by all of his staff.Great horseman.

This man is my neighbors father. I got into horses because they inspired me so much 7 years ago. I am so thankful I met them because my life would have nothing to do with these beautiful horses. I especially thank this man, Don Harris, for leading me in the direction to follow in his footsteps. You are very inspirational Don! Thank you for everything.

When I was a child, Don Harris Stables was very close to my home. Don't remember *exactly* where, but it was not far across the River in Indiana. I *think* I got to visit once, but I'm not sure.
