    Great video man, THank you. I am actually interested in this drill for my DIY stuff but i never found anyone who did wall drilling tests or some thin metals or sth. So my question is, would it be good enough for drilling brick walls for hanging mounts for tv ? would it drill sth maybe a 2 mm thick metal tube etc ?

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  Рік тому +2

      I would not recommend it for drilling into brick stone. It honestly isn’t designed for that type of drilling

    • @UmitSeyhan75
      @UmitSeyhan75 3 місяці тому +2

      @@HowYouCanMakeIt I mean, drilling wall for tv mount is one of the most basic work that a "home user" would do. And most of us do not have a wood shop in our garages, so, I am not very sure about the purpose of this product.

    Drop the drill! Drop the drill! Thinking about getting one for around the house stuff. You've convinced me to go the DeWalt route.

    Thanks for the review. If you continue testing this HOTO drill for a follow up I’d like to see it used in some framing construction and of course a drop test. I believe this is a 12volt drill so it should be compared to something like the 12v Bosch driver.

    I think this is more ment for tech stuff like mount a bracket to the back of a TV and wall disassembling a computer or appliances for repair hanging picture frames and small stuff around the house and stuff that require you use a certain torque like ikea furniture

    Thank you for this review! I'm about to move out and I might get this to disassemble and reassemble my furnitures. One question I want to ask though, I wonder if most drills have a universal size for the attachments? Or in other words, if I buy a head attachment from other brand, would it fit the HOTO drill? I was thinking to buy some attachment brush head which from the photo and the reviews, seems to fit regular drill. Thinking to use it on HOTO for scrubbing & cleaning..

    Im 30 seconds in idk what you have to say yet but i will say their electric screwdriver is phenominal. Small. Rechargable with usbc. Has no problem serving as a modest drill for tasks like assembling desks and stuff with those holes already started in the wood

    Great review. I would say a lot of people don't have any tools in their house for small DIY fixes and what not. This fits right in those house holds. Personally, I hate that I have a big bulky tool bag with over-powered tools for small tasks inside the house and have to always hide it in the back of a closet. This can fit anywhere and it's light. Just put it in the book shelf with its case and fits right in! Really considering it.

      @Great Grandpa’s Woodworking I agree as well. I honestly wouldn’t even care to own a tool that I’d be afraid to break if I dropped it. Even for picture hanging or inside the house tasks, I prefer tough tools that can handle heavy, daily use. 🙂

    Thank you for this video. I am actually looking for a drill to buy - this is probably how YT suggested me this very video. I am glad I could watch it. This drill is a toy - looking good in some yupiies garage next to his/her tesla :) not planning to use it anytime

      😁

    • @Loneman_OG
      @Loneman_OG Рік тому +4

      No, it's _not_ a toy; it's a tool designed for a particular purpose.
      It's lightweight, compact, and has enough power to perform basic domestic duties. If you're looking to drill holes in concrete for fixing bolts or drive huge hex-screws into oak sleepers, then, obviously, you'd use a suitable tool, so go and grab your neon-coloured, manly-man _moar powah_ drill or _moar torque_ ugga dugga with their 1 kilo 15AH batteries.
      But if you want to merely tighten some screws in your door's hinges, drive a screw into wall studs to hang a picture, or drill a few holes for a shelf bracket, then this is ideal.
      Don't worry; using this _tool_ won't harm your fragile masculinity. 🙄

    Почему такое сильное биение? Это одинакого для Hoco и для Xiaomi. Абсолютно на всех видео видно. Причем биение в режиме шуруповерта заметно. А если дрилить ей это же ни в какие рамки не годится

  • @Loneman_OG
    @Loneman_OG Рік тому +1

    Eeeeeeeeew, Apple!!! No thanks! Plus, it would be white, overly priced, and break the day after their crappy warranty expired if they made it. 👎
    HOTO (HOme TOols) are a spin-off of Xiaomi, and there are a few other sub-brands that follow the same design ethics, make really nice-looking tools that work very well and actually _LAST!_
    I've had my WowStick screwdriver and TS100 soldering iron for years, and they've _really_ been put through their paces and are still going strong. The 2500LM rechargeable torch has been mounted next to my back door for over a year and has performed flawlessly when called upon. 👍
    Also, I've recently picked up the HOTO rotary tool for light-medium work, and I've been hugely impressed by its performance, and if it wasn't for the fact that I have a Bosch IXO screwdriver, I'd be placing an order for HOTO's equivalent model. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the matching 5M tape measure; that's awesome, too! 😎
