This is Cody! Editing this video made me so hungry for these cookies i spent the morning making some 😂 Please Like & Subscribe! Thanks for watching! 😘😏
I remember when I was a girl I was raking leaves and pine needles with my brothers, my Mother was in the kitchen making delicious molasses and ginger cookies. I loved to drink molasses out of the bottle, yum. Your cookies look delicious Glenda, that you for sharing.
I make tons of cookies to give to friends and family for Christmas. My chest freezer gets filled to the top. I think your molasses cookie will be added to my list. Looks so delicious. Can't wait to lick the beaters. Lol. Stay well and safe. Beany
Lol this recipe reminded me of a day when one of my daughters and I were baking cookies when she was little. She complained that I was using shortening in the cookies because she wanted the cookies to be big! 😂❤😂
Finally got the time to make these and yep! Just as I thought, scrumptious! Love the cakey texture :) I've only made my grandma's molasses cookies in the past where you roll them in sugar before baking. But these have just the right amount of sweetness and the cinnamon and ginger really come through. It is a hearty cookie and I find that just one will do when you need that little snack with your coffee or tea, lol. I can see adding some vanilla frosting on top, maybe will try that in the next batch! Just loving these recipes,Glenda!! Will we be seeing a Creative Grandma's Kitchen cookbook one of these days?? :)
I am so loving this channel! CG, you missed your calling, lol. When I saw molasses cookies I was curious to see if they were like the ones my grandma made which were rolled in sugar before baking but these are different. Am going to try these out this week..they look scrumptious! Hope the store has molasses! The baking aisle has been a little slim these days at the store.
Thanks, Glenda! I have a brand new bottle of molasses and I bet that I have all of the necessary ingredients on-hand, bcz I've been making bread a few times during corona. You've had some really good recipes, Glenda! Good for you! If you're looking for the perfect UA-cam food channel to follow, yourself, I suggest Food Wishes. Chef John is funny and so amazing! He cooks & bakes everything! I make his chicken tikka masala. He makes me look like a gourmet genius! =)
Thank you for sharing another recipe. I just had a quick question for clarification. In the video, it’s mentioned that the oven should be at 350 degrees, but the written recipe at the end says 325 degrees. Which temperature is the correct one?
no its not like a gingersnap more of a soft Molasses cookie. I will consider doing a gingerbread man cookie, but I need to find a gingerbread cookie cutter, I will have to look online to see if I can find one :)

@@creativegrandmaskitchen256 well, I know I'll like it if you all do- based on all the other recipe choices you've done so far.😀
Isn't shortening a margarine?
why not say butter? what is the difference?
When my Grandmother she used Lard Or Bacon grease when making Molasses Cookies.
