I'm an INFJ and I totally relate to what you're saying. I'm intuitive and often see the deeper picture. I'm naturally right brained but have worked hard over the years to develop my analytical left brain. I majored in math education and minored in science -- but these subjects did not come easily. Nowadays I'm pursuing the things I love - painting, sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, designing, gardening, building, philosophy, spirituality, etc. I wish I had done this years ago. It would have aligned with my personality better. But I had a lot of shame about my talents and gifts. I never fit in with the mainstream and thought that I could better make a living in a left-brained career. Now that I realize that I'm an INFJ and represent a very small portion of the population -- I feel less shame and more comfortable in my own skin and am happy to be finally following my passions.
School and the corporate workplace especially can be brutal for right brained, autistic, HSP, introverted and ADHD people. It's usually a different culture and counter intuitive from the way our brains work
I don't like to talk about metaphysical things because the most of the world is ran on logic, I fear being seen as not logical at all when that's not true. But when there is someone I'm able to talk about these things with it is exciting and I could go on and on about it. I view everything as spiritual. We are all spiritual beings on a spiritual journey. It's definitely not talked about enough. ❤
Same. In my entire life there’s only been one other person I could talk to about it. I still remember the day we realized we both sensed the same thing. We just looked at each other, eyes open, & mouthed “you too?”
Everyone’s connection to the metaphysical is unique. Some are astral travelers, or soul seers, or time travelers, or message bringers. We can be the healers of the world.
why would the world need healers? when most people are comfortable with the white lies they create about life and have no intesrest in seeing the truth as is and defend justice..... the fantasy of world healers is new age brainwashing to keep us stuck here, the world will always be stuck and turn in circles
I'm an INFJ who was blessed to live in a Musical Theater environment till they started giving my artist/actress/singer/dancer mom 3 yrs of Electroconvulsive Shock treatments that chamged her forever when I was 8. It's so disturbing to me that they are taking away Art & Music programs from children in our public schools now. They know damn well that it perverts the human's full brain integration & development to only focus on STEM route now. Great topic! Thx.❤🙏🥰
It took a long time for me to become comfortable with who I truly am and realizing that I'm not like most people, I've grown comfortable with knowing that most people won't understand me or even like me. The fact is that we INFJ are a very rare breed and we're not here to fit in with societal norms.
I've been much more interested in the metaphysical and magical than "reality" from a very early age. It came naturally, but I thought I would eventually outgrow it. At 65, I'm still a seeker. *INFP-9w1
It's all tied or based around your alignments & placements in your birth chart, which justifies your personality type, individual wiring, energetic/spiritual character, & psyche of the mind. Everything is from the inside out. As what's in, as what's out. As Above (Astronomy), As Below (Astrology). Esoteric (Right Brain/Feminine/Eve) & Exoteric (Left Brain/Masculine/Adam). The key is balancing between the two. We're (INFJs) more aware of the metaphysical - Which means less dense, or before things materialize in the physical. Or more in tune to the psyche or subconscious/unconscious. Which in Astrology would be the 4th House (Cancer), 8th house (Scorpio), 12th House (Pisces) Areas of life. Or aspects/alignments to the Moon, Pluto or Neptune.
Thanks, Lauren. I grew up in a religious family, but even in that, I always felt like I was odd because I wanted to go beyond that faith to other types of spirituality. And even though many of them stayed in their religion, they still look at the world in a very logical way, whereas I don't. Very interesting topic. Honestly, I wish I could attend your classes, but sadly, money is an issue for me. I appreciate that you post these videos to at least give us a taste of the things you discuss in the classes. 😊❤
I like that you mentioned growing up religious. Me too. Very traditional protestant Christianity. But I was never interested in it until I read some CS Lewis and saw that there could be more to it than what so many of the dull people I was surrounded by seemed to find comforting or inspiring. I am sure this is true of most religions. There are those that love to follow rituals and rules for the comfort of the structure of it. But then there are those of us who want to get past that and find what is beyond the buildings and the trappings. I would not be surprised to find that most of us are INFJs or INFPs!
I'm INFJ and I approve this message! I was asking tough metaphysical kinds of questions of the nuns at Catholic school at about age 7 or 8. In February I will be celebrating 25 years of working with Esther Hicks. It's been quite a ride! Your videos seem like you know me personally, Lauren - freaked me out a bit, at first, to be honest. "Hey wait, that wan't part of the Myers-Briggs questions - how does she know that???" LOL
I'm an INFJ.(9w1) I LOVE fantasy. I'm an abstract artist as well. I'm also an atheist. When I consider a problem I turn it inside-out, upside-down, and every which way but loose as I apply what I already know. I also search for new meanings that might apply. I'm very intuitive about people, but it's because I know the patterns and behaviors I've experienced or read about, *AND,* (this is the important part!) it's because I'm an excellent listener and pay attention to the kinesics (body language). There is no WOO for me. Period.
Statistically(based on the number tests) I am an INFJ. While this video resonates so much for me, I am simultaneously very logical as I am "Woo". is it just me?
@@mantsabengmokorosi3186 I think type 5s are very logical and in their heads. Im not sure but I think infjs are slightly different depending on their enneogram type. It's just my own theory. But you say you can identify with both, and you highlight 'very logical' - that might be your type 5 coming through maybe too. Im not sure though tbh🙏❤
@@rupinderh01 Thank you so much for your insights. Most INFJ traits videos also mention the "psychic abilities" and that used to make me feel like a fraud hence taking so many tests. I have had a several dreams come true, one being the birth of my twins; I had dreamt a stranger telling me I was pregnant with twins way before I knew that I pregnant. For me, calling it psychic "ability", its like saying I have some sort of control over it. Even the gut feelings that materialize just happen.
