It's amazing how these two actors have had such a special bond ever since 2001: A Space Odyssey. Thank you both, Keir and Gary, for always being happy to share all your reflections of the film. Happy 50th (1968-2018)! 🌎🌌🖖🏻
My mom saw 2001 when in came out in Cinerama...she said it was the most amazing experiences...you have take that in the context of what science fiction movies were before 2001...say Forbidden Planet was the benchmark before 2001...it's night and day. One the greatest movies ever made...still a head of its time...probably always will be.
Absolutely wonderful to see these two amazing guys together on the stage. Loved them both in "2001". And Gary Lockwood also did a great performance in the second Star Trek TOS pilot "where no man has gone before", playing Gary Mitchel. Together with "2001" the BEST Science Fiction of the 1960s.
You are no doubt referring to a short-lived military drama that aired on NBC in the 60s and starred Gary as a USMC officer. The show was co-produced by Gene Roddenberry and MGM.
50 years ago "Mission control this is X-ray Delta One, at one niner two zero, our twin triple niner computer shows fault prediction in Alpha-Echo three-five unit, probable failure within 48 hours." I eat this shit up.
Dullea is still looking good. Lockwood is still a live wire. They should both stop defending Kubrick since all they know is Kubrick on the one film, 2001. They don't know how he treated other actors in later movies.
Papa CACA 1966 Before my Grand-ma die 1969..just at this time I was a very little girl....at the same 1969..We was So Happy playing POP-CORNS...Coulanget TE Mother Britain..But God Will My Father Die Right on my EYE..Lanmerde Forkers
The ones killed by Hal were Frank Poole and the three hibernating astronauts. It was Dave Bowman who traveled through the Star Gate, aged, died and was reborn as the Star Child.

Well said.
I see that this was posted on 2017, but wondered if that was also the actual date of the interview?
@Lone Gunman63 Thank you.

I too saw if first in Cinerama in London in 1968. It was the most fantastic thing I'd ever seen.
You say it like the sci-fi that came after are superior.
"Forbidden Planet"?
Chris: I felt the same way as your mom.
are you sure you don't mean "Forbidden Planet" rather than "Fantastic Planet"?

My twin brother and friend did Acid before they went to see it as alot of people did.
love those guys!
God help me - but I had the best crush on Gary Lockwood. I’d still go out on a date with him. : )

If I saw him I would recognize him instantly, those blue eyes....and would probably call him Dave Bowman accidentally on purpose.😅😂
Don't piss off Buzz Aldrin.
Dave Bowman : HAL, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the doors!
HAL : Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
If only one could have make it mandatory, that you have to read to book before experiencing the movie. (Like I Did) Very few would have panned it.
Wiggle your toes in the grass and thank God you are on Earth.
lekkere video jonge

stop with the victim culture shit.
That looked like a rough scene to film!
Loved Gary Lockwood’s “guy in office in Washington “ comment
He had a little TDS going on -
Shelley Duvall would disagree about Kubrick being so great to work with...
so would a lot of people. why single out shelley duvall? they all spoke highly of him all the same.

Countdown from 100........we will wake you up when the ship enters mars orbit.............
I felt sorry for you guys!
you don't need to feel sorry for dullea, he had already worked with preminger.
Lockwood is talking crap.
When the boys defend you 😅🤣🤣
dullea had already worked with otto preminger. nuff said.
Didn't they die in space or something?
well one was killed by HAL the computer and the other died of old age and was reborn as a "Star Child" looking after planet earth....
