- Lace-up boxing gloves are the best quality and fit you can get. The inconvenience with them is that you need someone to lace them up for you. In this video, I'll show you how you can quickly and conveniently lace them up yourself to slip on and off anytime you want.

If you can just slip your hand in and out of the glove, it doing next to nothing in terms of wrist protection
Probably the reason why hand wraps exist.
@@nomiS.933wrist support is a key component in making gloves. Wraps don’t do it all. You’re asking for an injury
don't have b1tch wrists and u good
He doesn’t have hand wraps on in the video with hand wraps it’s much tighter
@@joshuarivas442 just say you have weak ass wrists and bad punching technique
i'm such a beginner, my gloves have a velcro strap and they're always falling off--i'm gonna need these with the laces! thanks for the demo, Coach
Yeah that's one of the downsides on the velcro gloves 😤. Let me know how you like it if you make that transition. Thanks brotha!
For those struggeling to get your hands in when wrapped, try elastic laces.
Good suggestion. Never tried elastic laces. Thank you for the comment.
They suck, not worth it
Thanks for the vid coach man now it makes me want to buy lace ups lol
Lace-ups are totally worth it in my opinion! Velcro is definitely convenient, but if I'm paying top dollar for gloves, I'm going with the most authentic fit 🥊.
I’m a beginner - would you recommend Cleto Reyes lace ups as like a first lace up glove? And what model/glove do you use?
As a beginner, you probably won't see a noticeable difference between the different glove brands. Cleto Reyes is top notch quality, but I would recommend trying out cheaper alternatives to see what type of feel you like best. If you go to titleboxing.com, they have cheaper alternatives to the expensive brands but they're still good quality. FOr example, Pro Mex is the cheaper alternative to resemble the Cleto Reyes for those that like the Mexican puncher's gloves. The brand Fighting is the cheaper alternative to resemble the Winning gloves if you like the more padded/protective gloves. You might need to experiment throughout your boxing journey to see which glove feel you are most compatible with.
(The gloves in the video are the 10 oz Cleto Reyes Safetec Pro Fight Gloves.)
Take a shot for every “just like that”
I remember when I used to manually input my own subtitles. I had to copy and paste "Just like that" so many times.
can i have the link for that gloves coach?

Hi Coach. I have one question - Is the velcro same as the laceup with using converter?
I’ve never actually used a converter before, but I’m assuming it feels the same as a velcro glove. It just looks like a pain to me to have to put the laces through the converter holes every time I want to switch between having someone lace them up for me and doing it myself. That’s just me though 😆.
Question, does it do more protection than a normal velcro, im not sure if i should get velcros or straps for my next gloves, main reason being because i have a fractured wrist and my parents think that it will just "heal" but i dont want to stop boxing
I like lace-ups because if you have someone who can tie your laces, you get the maximum protection you can get than any other glove. Velcro can only get you a certain level of protection. If you have lace-ups, I will always recommend you have someone tie them for you, but this video is for people who have lace-ups but may not always have someone to tie it for them.
문신이..ㅋㅋㅋ 이 또한 지나가리라 ㅋㅋㅋ 혹시 한국분이세요 ?
나는 한국인이다! 나는 한국어를 할 수 있지만 읽거나 쓸 수는 없습니다. I have to re-learn how to read and write Korean. I was able to when I was a child 😆. 🙏🏽
@@coachpillowfists Ok im korean too.
I use everyday Winning gloves and Your lace Method. Thank you ~!
@johnssteve I’m happy to help! Thank you brotha! 🙌🏽
Been thinking about which type of gloves to go with either Velcro or laces but I seen this video gotta go with laces now
They both have their benefits, but I always prefer the laces 👌🏽.
i tried but the glove can't fit if i have the hand wraps
It takes some practice to be able to get the gloves on, but yes it’s going to be a little difficult which it should be. If you absolutely need to, re-lace the gloves to make them a little looser.
Nice, thnx coach! 🔥
Yes sir! 🫡
Thanks dude
You're very welcome!
Much Appreciated
👌🏽👌🏽
Going to be pretty hard to put the hands in with wraps. I’ll stick with my enrico suave way with lace converters
It just take some practice. I get my self-laced gloves on with no problem all the time with wraps on. Would've done this video with wraps on, just didn't think about it at the time of recording.
Is this for sparring or just bag work cause I just bought my first lace ups and was just wondering
I’d say mainly just bagwork, unless you’re doing a light spar. Any more than a light spar, I’d highly suggest having them laced up by someone.
@@coachpillowfistsoh alr thanks so much bro 👍🏻
You’re welcome!
Do you still feel wrist support? Even when lacing it like that, Or is a Velcro glove better?
It probably depends on the individual, but personally I don't experience any wrist issues like this. And I know some people have commented on this video about how I don't have any wraps on in the demonstration of this video. However, I regularly am able to get the gloves on with wraps. Just wanted to clarify 👌🏽.
Just got a pair of cleto reyes sparring gloves 🔥🔥
Hell yeah! Hope you enjoy them! 🔥🥊
Now put on both gloves with wraps and demonstrate wrist protection
Keep going coach! 💪🏾 (my Cali plans changed, but I opened a company recently - once I get a lil more settled I’ll hit you up 👌🏾)
Stay up!
Great to hear from you bro! Good to see you're staying busy 👌🏽. Hope all goes well with your new start up!
