As someone struggling with anxiety and a recent atypical ADD screening, this song means a lot to me. Like, I feel as if I'm falling behind all the "normal" people because I just don't want to do the things they do. I don't want to develop a complicated skincare routine. I don't want to buy a calendar. I don't want to enroll in summer programs or go clothes shopping or even go outside most of the time. I just want to stay behind.

I finally listened to this and as someone with horrible attachment issues, anxiety, and depression it feels like they took the strings of my heart and played my sorrow and pain out in music form and the lyrics are comforting them.

After finally leaving an abusive situation I have grown to love this song as a way to remind myself of how it’s ok for me to adjust and how it’s good that I can process everything.
