I' m from Rio de Janeiro and I bought tratti DVD in a small CD store at Rodoviária Tietê ( a big bus station in São Paulo). So, I believe one might find it in a small bookstore or cd store in the most unexpected places. I bought that by chance: I just came across a cd store, came in and luckily found it. That's all. Greetings from Rio.

Nah. TFF is timeless. They may have made it big starting in the 80’s.but their music is timeless. Why do we still call them an 80’s band like it’s a bad thing? Do we call Journey a 70’s or 80’s band? No, because they’re simply great bands who play phenomenal music. TFF still better music than anything I’ve heard in the last twenty years at least.

Recorded in Cologne at the Satory. One of my first concerts and still one of my favourites. There were only 200 people in a room for app. 800 audience, but the atmosphere was amazing. They did´t have enough material for more than an hour concert, but we did not let them go. So they played the whole setlist twice! Good old times :-) Thanks for sharing this memory!

Wow. I would have loved to be there. Bet they could only dream of how big they would become worldwide. I think "Shout" was what made them well known once it hit #1 in America.. Everyone knows if you don't make #1 in America, you are not an international star..🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@vanessamorris1620 ..I would agree to 1981 because by the time "Shout" came out, around 1985 I believe, they look drastically different as far as maturity wise, facial structure, and body muscle tone. Also they appeared much more comfortable with the camera and performing.🎸

The second song "The way you are" was the first single made between the the long break between the Hurting and Songs From the Big Chair and I remember they played it on KROQ in Los Angeles (I think on Rodney on the Roqs) and I was so hungry for another song from that I went to every record store and no record store had it because it was only released in England and it didn't come out for many year in the US until the long album of weird stuff that never got release before and I bought that and I was so happy I finally heard that song again.

I think TFF were the best band of the 80s due to the fact that they had it all: savvy musical sensibilities (pop, rock, and jazz), great lyrics and a social/political conscience at a time when few bands had all that in spades. I put them even above U2 and The Police. Maybe a tie for first with R.E.M.

They do deserve to be in the same sentence as U2, Police, and REM. It's subjective but these guys were equally as good musicians as the Police and wrote some excellent song and harmonies. REM had incredible energy and had a very organic feel. REM captured a gothic aspect of the south in much the same way Faulkner did. This is a pretty mind blowing performance in terms of musicianship, energy, and timing; oh and vocals and just about everything else.

Enjoyed their music but wasn't really into them in the '80s. Thought they're older stuff seemed a bit artsy. In the time of the start of MTV I really liked Change. Then for some reason years later I bought Elemental and I realized how brilliant Roland's writing was and.. they are artists! I've really been enjoying their music the last 10+ years.
