  • In this video Coach Wapps breaks down the perimeter and where you as the goalie should be when the player is driving wide into the zone.
If you are unsure about what drills you should be doing to maximize the development time at team practices check out the Goaltender Fundamentals down below.
    The Goaltender Fundamentals
🥅 Step-by-step video tutorials: Easy-to-follow instructional videos covering the 12 fundamental skills, such as The Butterfly, T Pushes, Shuffles and more.
📚 Customized practice plans: Step by step practice plans for each skill that any goaltender can print off and take with them to their minor hockey practices or any open ice sessions.
🚨 Private Goalie Community: Connect with a network of fellow goalies, goalie parents and coaches who are sharing experiences, insights, and motivation, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. You will also receive feedback from myself and our other coaches on the skills we are teaching you.
🎉Bonus Program: Gear Fitting. I put together a step by step program where I walk through every piece of equipment that goalies need to be wearing and show you how all of the gear should be fitting.

As someone who isnt a good skater, grow up around no ice, and only goalie experience is Chel, I love these sit down and explain it to me videos. When I see the praccies all I'm thinking is man, I wish I could skate.

I'm comfortable in my posts. But the amount of short side burns I've experienced on bad angle perimeter shots has forced me out of my comfort zone. Now I embrace the overlap and almost never get burned on those shots anymore.

Try and explain everything like I am talking to an 8 year old. too many coaches try and make themselves sound smart by using big terms

This explains what I’m doing wrong when they go behind the net for the wrap around and I can’t get over in time. Thank you so much!!

I love this detailed explanation. I've been thinking a lot about this overlap lately and am liking the utility.

awesome to hear. It can be a weird space on the ice if you don't practice it often. Everything is a read though. You don't want to do the same thing every time because no play is the same
