Thanks for helping us beer leaguers out. Really cool hearing how to goalie from a real pro. Thanks again.
AWESOME VIDEO Kasimir! Honestly, it's an honour to hear your views and opinions on this subject considering, you actually made the show!!! Dude thank you! GOLEAFSGO
Thanks for taking your time and putting this video together. The camera and video clarity blows away the competition. You talked about the tradition toe lace and there was a comment about this also. By any chance do you know any links or where to get information on how to set up the length or starting point of the knot? Thanks for any help. I will be keeping an eye out for future videos. This one is excellent. Needless to say, love watching you making saves too.
Nice to hear the negatives also. Usually RVH videos just show you how to do it properly.
Great vid. I think it'd also be helpful if you showed us this compared to the other save selection options, to show that not only is RVH a good save selection on tight angle shots, but that it's the best option, all save selections considered.
Great information for goalies who wants to learn 😀🙏
Interesting intro.... did he not get offered a contract extention? Sure hope he lands somewhere.
Kaz -- how do you recommend getting out of bad habits? For me, I feel like I default to VH for whatever reason, really regardless of what side it's on. For example, I'll actually sometimes hold myself -- hold the post -- with my blocker hand when I'm on blocker side. And kind of same with glove side, I almost rap my catcher around the post. I should probably be doing more RVH; however, I'm 27 and I've got a lot of bad habits! lol
Any recos on how to fix? Just practice, I assume?
You have a lot of viewers (myself included) that love watching your videos but don’t play goal. It would be really helpful next time to just give a quick intro or background of what RVH or whatever goaltending topic you’re talking about is before diving right in 👍
Marco C good point😂
Never knew he practice at the amsoil
You should play as yourself/do a be a pro series when nhl21 comes out! October 16th (without pre order). Love your videos!
Evan Weinstein for sure, i’m very excited about the new be a pro. Goalie or forward??
Kasimir Kaskisuo I think you should be a goalie, but your choice. Pick whichever one you think you’ll enjoy more. I’ll love it either way.
Kasimir Kaskisuo choose the one you would enjoy the most. The more you enjoy producing content the better the content is. ;)
Thanks for helping me out I’m a second year peewee and needed some help with the post work
Bro we gotta get on the ice sometime and get you on the vlog. You got me glued to the screen for all the videos. Whip it up in the kitchen too dog.
Ideas:
- learning angles and depth in the net
- movement around the crease - T-pushes vs slides
- head positioning when puck is behind the net
It would be nice to see those situations where you don’t recommend RVH. Especially for young goalies.
I'm a big fan of the boot-in RVH as opposed to skate-on-post. I just feel that it helps me have fewer holes.
I think we have jumped too deeply into teaching/using only Toe-on-Post and forgotten the utility of Shin-on-Post.
Raask style as he mentions.
It allows you to straighten your hips upward sealing the top shelf as well as sealing the post seam, the downside being a loss of explosive recovery off post. But not all plays are low-to-high plays which would require that explosive push.
I Try to do the RVH but the thing is that my knees just dont work that way and i find i have to stuff myself into the net with half my pad in i would much rather go in normal v.h any tips
Terveisiä Suomesta. Iso peukku.
Would love to see some dryland workouts done in real time so that a person could follow along.
Who else thinks he should be the backup for the Leafs next season?
Awesome stuff! Keep it up . finding great nuggets to use in beer league
so you don’t use the RH on the blocker side, what do you do then?
Finally the save I’ve commented on every video!!! (The behind the back at Umd...in the intro) I was at that game. Keep up the great work!
its trash! am old school, stand up from post to post !
You should talk about your glove place meant cause lots of goalies have different placements and do you do fantasy hockey during the season or do not have time for that
How often do you get your skates sharpened?
You need a 960 mask brother, that Tim Thomas cage is terrible.. sorry!
Haha i dont fit into a bauer!
can we see more of this stuff
Can u do more on ice vids🔥
Awesome video
Thanks for posting these - super helpful tips and really generous of you to help out!
Have you tried bungee toe toes yet? I’m just starting to test them out and I feel like I don’t have as much control with my push off the post. Was wondering if you had any experience with those or if you’ve only use traditional skate lace.
BonesyTV i tried the monster ties and i mention it briefly at 5:57, and i had the same exact issue where the responsiveness isnt anywhere close to traditional lace
@@KasimirKaskisuoOfficial I'm liking the stress the bungees take off my ankles and how responsive they are but its hard to beat the old fashioned skate lace
Go through your basic stance depending on where the puck is in the zone and use of your hands for « box control »
I love the RVH and when I mean I love it I would want to marry it. I know you said you shouldn’t use it always but I’m always in it. Granted I’m not dumb using it and I know when I gotta get out of it. I just feel more mobile like that instead of standing on the post, and I play better in it. obvisouly if it was hurting my game I wouldn’t use it but it hasn’t let me down in the many years I’ve used it. Sorry all this sounded better in my head and I didn’t know how to word it the way I wanted but I hope you kinda get my point.
There may be a lot of content on this topic, but I found that clear and well presented. I will be sure to share this with the youth goalies I work with. Thank you.
How about a video on your glove positioning. Some days I feel like I just don’t get it right. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Can you do a video talking about rebound control and the best ways to trap pucks on your body and shoulders?
For smaller goalies, tucking in your head can really take away the shortside when in the rvh
My son uses the ankle to the post, said it feels better, and he uses box control, he is not very flexable but uses his size.
Awesome! Looking forward to more of this Goaltending Unlocked series for sure!
Would love to see a video about playing the puck
LOVE IT! More tips & lessons please, this beer league goaltender needs all the help he can get!
How do you feel about turning the glove over in the RVH?
This is interesting even though I'm not a goalie.
Love the content!
sick pads man!
Love your videos Kasimir
You should collab with Trav4oilers sometime, that would be sick!
to bad trav is in sweden right now
@@Kxller44 Yeah hopefully when he comes back
I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t really like the helmet
