Vinyl Richie’s entrance!!😂 His concert story had my jaw dropping for a variety of reasons. VR had a shower peeper that he embraced! I love that Hedley (?) got confirmation of vinyl greatness from VR. The end discussion about listening to records is so true.
That was fun. I didn’t consider copyright problems when picking the tunes. Not surprisingly Blue Note blocked Cantaloop. If I return to the pub I won’t make that mistake again.
It was good fun, Richie! It’s just unlucky to have the tune removed for copyright reasons. Never normally happens. We now know not to put Blue Note records on the jukebox 👍👍
@@anotherfatbeardedmantalkin5893 I would love to do it again. I have plenty of jukebox material that wouldn’t get a copyright hit. An upcoming vinyl finds video may feature something you showed.
This was one of the most enjoyable vids that I have seen in a very long time ! Refreshingly great.. And too much fun to watch you guys tear it up ! Very nice 🎵
What an entertaining video. Loved all the selections. Just a few hours of therapy now for Richie's shower story. Put me off my weetabix. Well done chaps. Great to see some joy in the VC. All the best, Steve.
Another good night of music down the VC local! The Monkees were my childhood lol. And Bow Wow Wow - that was drunken nights as a student. Happy Days🙂. Cheers guys!
The closest record Headley’s got to punk is the Monkees?...what’s his second closest?...The Wurzels?? Brilliant video, hope there are many more, Ritchies brilliant.
Hi Harris. I can just picture Hedley rooting through shelves and shelves of country records, searching for his one punk single, “I’m A Believer” by The Monkees. Priceless.
The flip side to that Rockinbirds single is by Tom out of Th’ Faith Healers. They were a firm Peel favourite back in the early 90s. Did a fantastic session that I still have taped from the radio from those olden times. Tom went on to form another band, Quickspace, who also made some good records.
I'm in my fifties and I first became aware of Gram Parsons via Almost Blue. Elvis and Steve Neive's interpretation of 'How Much I Lied' is really stunning and would turn anyone with a heartbeat into a country fan on the spot I think. This was before Allan Jones and Uncut magazine of course.
Just spent seven hours in a Cardiff city centre boozer with a free Sunday jukebox. Folks out for the football, Rugby and snooker and the only thing everyone could agree on was 'Yes Sir I Can Boogie' by Baccara is a tune!
Great video guys, very enjoyable. By the way , Billy Sherill 31:38 didn’t particularly enjoy working with George Jones. Always showing up loaded, and never wanting to memorize the lyrics to songs he was recording. But he still made a shit load of money, so I guess it was all worth it. That was a lot of fun. Cheers.
This explains A LOT about Ritchie. Henceforth whenever I hear him issue one of his more annoying opinions I'll know that it's just the trauma talking. Cheers, fellas.
It is Frankie. I found the image, which is supposedly from the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band film with the Bee Gees. I've not seen the film, so I have no idea of the context.
What a sad ending to the night! Dreary Elvis C tune 😢 I would follow it up with something rockin' and move on to a new place for afters! 😉 Loved it though.
A great episode! Despite that much country. Haha. I really dug the first Richie pick. Already went on Discogs to order a copy. Great series i need to catch up on some more episodes.
I appreciate Hedley lying about his most punk record for entertainment purposes. 🤣 But I agree that’s one of The Monkees garagiest tracks. Just retire the pub segment. Nobody will be able to top VR stories.
I fully intend to run the pub theme into the ground, Jon. I lose subscribers every time we do one. I’ll pack it in when I get down to zero subscribers and not before.
I would have loved to join this group at the pub. Good story and music time 🎸
Hey Mazzy. It would be good to get a few people down the VC pub at the same time 👍👍

Hey. I found Richie’s shower story most upsetting 🤣. Cheers!

Great pub visit. Richie is always entertaining, but he is on fire here. Superb.
Always look forward to a trip down the pub, especially with the variety of jukebox selections

Morning Steve. I’d just about managed to forget about Richie’s shower story. Thanks for reminding me 🤣. Take care. John
I have that US3 record. I was spinning it late night the other night with my lady friend!
Cheers☘️

Been a huge Bow Wow Wow and Adam and the Ants fan since the early 80s, both great bands.
An entertaining 40 minutes spent watching this. Great show.
So much fun. I absolutely love this format!
Cheers! Everyone loves to her their favourite music in the pub. It’s just a shame that we never pick anyone’s favourite music 🤣
Great to see Vinyl Richie invited to the pub. Fantastic stories. I know what Hedley means about Discogs - it’s so difficult to use now.
Cheers John. Richie certainly lowered the tone in the pub with his stories 🤣
Hedley’s picks were brilliant ❤
Don’t encourage him 🤣
I love you Russell ❤

What? No books hanging about at this pub LOL. Thoroughly enjoyable. Never seen VR smile as much, it suits him. 😂
If I’ve told you once I’ve told you a hundred times, NO BOOKS IN THE PUB!! 🤣

Too 😂 funny. Love Vinyl Rich, always pleasantly odd. Good group chat vid.
Hilarious, thanks guys.
I thought Hedley was going to totally bamboozle your esteemed guest with some Chas & Dave....give him some Rockney !!!
Vinyl Richie....he's a dude 👍👍👍

Great fun again for a Sunday, cheers!
Thanks John!
Bow Wow Wow! Yes. Interesting choices all around.
Hi Brian. Bow Wow Wow has dates pretty well. They had some cracking tunes. Cheers!

Unfortunately, UA-cam removed the clip of US3 “Cantaloop” for copyright reasons.
Were probably better for it though ;) a bit overplayed in the 90s.
