I haven't had peach and mango tea so I have no idea how it will taste. However, I had had mangoes- so which mango was it? (I'm indian we have a lot of mango types)
Thanks a lot! I love tea and I really want to make my own and this has done a great job to teach me how to make my own tea. I am so excited to get these ingredients and make my own custom tea! my custom set of ingredients: green tea leaves, licorice root, and cardamom!
I bought hibiscus online and then saw a picture of it before being dried and realized that the plant is all over our town. Lmaoo. Its name is different from where I'm from that I didn't even realize it's that flower.
Once a ground up some dried citrus leaves I got from harvesting the leaves up of some citrus fruits my friend gave me and it tasted a bit like green key also it made me a bit more alert as if it was coffee
I love tea, but I’m a person picky to texture. I want to see if I can ground dried leaves into a powder with a mortar and pestle and I feel like this would be help with my search of creative outlet projects while I’m stuck at home.
Rosemarry ,cinnamon and black tea just saying never done it something clicked in my mind and said do it and I said f it why not now i am now Hella relaxed 😌
Okay... is a mortar and pestle needed to make tea blends? Is that the "blend" part, or is it just mixing the ingredients together and popping 'em into the tea infuser?
It is more about combining the dried ingredients together in different ratios and letting them steep. A mortar and pestle could be helpful for breaking up leaves that you have dried yourself.
I wonder which temp should I steep my blended tea. If I mix herbal tea that needs to be steeped at boiling point and green tea which needs much lower temp. Any tips?
I start with knowing this is going to take at least an hour. Then I boil water, let it sit for 30-60 seconds and pour it over and steep in my fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, basil, sage, & cloves). After 25-30 minutes I’ll check the water temperature with a temp gun - when it’s close to 170, I add a bag of green tea (unbleached) for 3 1/2 minutes. Remove the bag and keep steeping the original mixture for another 25-30 minutes or until the water temperature goes below 140 degrees, the temperature that it’s safe to drink. Buy a temperature gun!

You could also use a tea strainer so none of the herbs effect a texture
