I had the pleasure of opening up for tiesto, I played in front of about 7,000 people and just that alone was the biggest rush of my life. Years before, I remember playing his records in my bedroom practicing my mixing and programming, dreaming of playing a stage like that. That day my life came full circle, he hit the stage after my set and hit it hard!! Old school tiesto!! Hard fast trance! And he dropped this Gem, time almost stood still, I couldn’t stop crying, I’ll never forget that moment and feeling ❤️🙏🏽
This brings tears to my eyes...makes me think of the early 2000s, the parties, the good friends I had, meeting the guy who I thought I'd be with forever. Sadly, we've all gone our separate ways now; but when I hear this, it's like we're all together again...even if just for a few minutes.
I discovered this song away from it's glory days (c. 2010). However it does remind me of having a great time, journey of self-discovery or to find "her".

I'm 77 yrs young and just recently discovered Tiesto. Absolutely amazing!!! So glad I'm alive with all my rich lived experience ~ it really enhances listening to this. The natural high it gives me is so incredible. I agree with many who say the 'old' Tiesto is best. Don't ever count us 'ole folks out!

its actually a bit upsetting that this style trance has been locked up and no one rinses it anymore. I remember seeing Tiesto in 2000 and he dropped this at the end of the set - still feel the goosebumps 15 years on!
I do wish I was born a few years earlier! I'm 24 now and it's all about that shitty dubstep, trap etc now, I'll admit I do like the current big room house stuff and especially trance, but there is absolutely nothing that matches the sound of these old trance tracks!! I played what I could find of this stuff as a kid but by the time I was out clubbing, those days were over

Exactly... they all say "damn that drop was sick" .... which it usually is lol... but he's talking about the build up before the drop... the beautiful build up which creates that tension in your brain where u feel like your about to explode then the drop happens releasing all the stress and tension in you. Which people don't understand cuz they all listen to trap crap haha. No offense to anyone, just a different way to feel the music. We all still enjoy the ride tho obviously. But my ears and body hear it differently cuz we the old school party kids lol. ✌❤

Nah Tiesto didn't even do this, pretty sure it was benno de goeij (one of tiestos many ghost producers) Tiesto was a great trance DJ, but not a producer.

Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Ferry Corsten (just to name a few) have pretty much become sellouts with their electro-pop/electro-house crap (every DJ/musician is entitled to change their music styles, but I personally don't like it at all). The new trance is just horrible, even the uplifting trance.

Anant Tanna We sure did, and those were the best years of my life. One of my favorite trance music producers was Above & Beyond. Their uplifting remixes were on point (Ayumi Hamasaki - "M," Britney Spears - "Everytime," Armin Van Buuren - "The Sound of Goodbye," Madonna - "What It Feels Like For A Girl," Motorcycle - "As The Rush Comes," Dido - "Sand in my Shoes," and Chakra - "I Am") and all of their releases were THE BOMB! Now they're the crap.

translatingsao Yes. The older trance DJs are sellouts with their new style of electro-house and electro-pop crap. Personally, I never liked PVD at all, although I like a few of his older releases (Nothing But You and For An Angel are 2 of my all-tome favorites), but not all of them. At least Above & Beyond haven't completely abandoned trance, although they've now crossed over to progressive trance. I admit some of their new releases are pretty good, but I still like their old releases though. Andy Blueman completely left the trance scene (which I hate so much) and is now composing music for movies and tv shows. If more and more DJs keep abandoning trance and crossing over to electro-house or electro-pop in the future, trance will be pretty much wiped off the map (I know, I know - you're gonna say "You sound so stupid and ridiculous when you say that" lol, but this is what I'm observing).
***** on my channel, I made old skool playlists, based off the best era, with a few new. Most don't have lyrics, the way techno/trance/dance, is meant to be.

This is an anthem - amazing. Music from this period was so imaginative and beyond our time, often putting us into what we know as "trance" and feeling happiness connected to the universe. I miss it very much, I first got into trance when I was 13 years old, I am 30 this December, still feeling the same way.

Was in Webster Hall in 2000.. took a hit of E and was on the balcony in the main room by myself. I was hurting over some girl and this song came on and after the build up and drop and I never thought about hurting over that girl. Something I’ll never forget. Only real transcendent moment I ever had on a psychedelic.
