How do you know if the issue is with the control board or the touch panel?

Very good Video - the best I have seen to determine the issue my dishwasher may be facing. I have a 3 year old LG LDT7797BD. No response from the touch pad. At one point we could switch the breaker on and off and it would finally come on. This procedure doesn't work any more and our dishwasher is not working. I replaced the Noise filter because many people were saying this was the issue. When I finally found the noise filter I tested the fuse for connectivity and found it was not a bad noise filter. Finding your video has given me more incite on determining if it is the touch pad or PCB board. I did take the door apart and found my control board has no cover plate - seems odd because all other video show a cover for the control board. Will disconnect the touch pad and do the drain test tomorrow and let you know what I find.

Do you have to use the same "REV" version that you remove? Do the REV versions mean there are improvements as the letters get further into the alphabet? Mine came with REV F, it burned up at the large plug on the left & fried the motherboard at that spot. Wondering if a REV H or REV J of the same part number is an improved model.

Maytag is real bad about control boards going out had 2 of them and they only last almost 2 years so I got another brand and it’s been 5 years no problem so I stay away from whirlpool made products which owns Maytag
