My 4 year old, instead of opening the rear door and getting in, decided to open the front door and climb to the back by standing on the arm rest. She snapped it. I then went to the junk yard but couldn't figure out how to get the arm rest out of a wrecked Ford Focus. Thank you. This video is very helpful. 3:48
Although I didn’t particularly want to take the console out, I DID need to adjust the parking brake, and as it turned out, removing the console was the only way to do it. And for the life of me I could not figure out how to do it. Thank you so very much!!
Thanks homie! Was exactly what I needed. I just bought an 06 and the center console is completely gone for some reason. Now I know how to remove one from a donor car and put it in mine. Thanks!
if you dont like the noise just stick a large screwdriver or wedge between the door latch and the door sensor so it activates and thinks the door is closed.
Men, I buy all the center console, complete with bracket piece of the armrest, and my focus doesn't have the steel plate to mount the bracket, or the 2 bolts where get snug with the air vents for the rear seats, daaaammiiittt
That’s a good question. I personally didn’t know there were different ones without the armrest so I’m not sure if there’s a difference in how they are set up or if they’re interchangeable.

i took a zip tie and put it around the button on the latch for the door to avoid the dinging noise

Are they interchangeable like the ones without the console with arm rest vs the ones without one ?

I would assume just do all the steps up until you remove the armrest and then replace it with the new one.
