Hey, so I saw you were petting him on the back/wings. If you haven't discovered yet, by doing that you are telling your bird you want to mate, unknowingly. It also stresses your bird out. You're generally supposed to pet their neck and head. I hope this helped
What a beautiful bird!! I've done so much research and I really want a bird but I'm holding off because i work with chemicals like acetone, pill gel, and some others I feel like that's too toxic for a bird. I turned my garage into the nail studio, so I dont know. Do you think it's safe?
You have a gorgeous boy there. I belong to a 16 year old female who hates me! She is not sociable, isn't fussed on toys, doesn't really play with anything, tolerates my touch. Darcy enjoys chewing and shredding, can talk up a storm, whistles the Addams Family theme and calls the dog. But...when my husband or son enter the room, she does a complete turn around! Hugs, scratches, love and kisses abound.
@@mylittleparrots8931 Yep! She definitely prefers males. Silly me learnt that the hard way. I guess it depends on the type of bird too. We had a Cockatoo who loved everyone.
@@mylittleparrots8931 I've had experience with birds and I am looking to rescue a parrot soon but I'm currently living in a house with my parents due to my disability being to difficult to handle on my own and ideally they won't agree to having a "loud" bird in the house. I'm currently out of the house 6 hours a day which is also a concern, DO you have any recommendations to ehich could fit my life style?
Honestly in my opinion, birds just don’t seem fit your lifestyle at the moment. All birds are loud and make noise (at least healthy ones do). Birds, especially bigger birds, need lots of human socializing and mental stimulation. Being in a cage won’t offer that. Unless you are spending time with your bird every single minute that you are home, it can be an issue. Birds are lots of responsibility and usually lifetime partners. Most are like 4 year olds who stay young forever. You have to change your life completely for birds. I wouldn’t recommend them for everyone
Not to be picky, but the correct pronunciation (phonetics) would be ec-lec-tus. Emphasize the ec as in Echo, the Amazon device. Thanks for your videos otherwise.
Ollie is so cute!...
I have a 33 year old male Eki that loves to stay under the bed covers with my son for hours. Both fall asleep together.

isn't that the case if you do that to a female, the males don't think much of it
that doesnt really imply to male one

Probably not, only because birds can be very sensitive to chemicals, do you keep the chemicals in your house?
@My Little Parrots no they are in the garage I work in the garage
Don’t do it. They look cute and you’ll love them once you have them but parrots are like children. Say goodbye to your life 😂

From my experience birds either take to one person, or male or female gender.

Are eclectus more independent than say an Amazon bird or an African grey?
How big should my cage be for 1 male?
What kind of bird?
For a eclectus probably a 24x 36x 48 inch
@@mylittleparrots8931 Thank you!!
Are eclectus birds loud??
It mostly depends on there personality.

I noticed the "E - Collectus"
So you mean EC lek tus? Not e~CLEK~tus? 😊😊😊
Let people talk how they want, stop trying to act like the authority on speech
Eclectus se dice tal y como se escribe: E-clec-tus, sin más complicaciones.
How come he’s got no toys in his cage? 😞
These birds just don’t shut up I find my birds so I took them out of the cage they were okay for awhile then straight to my front door
Where did you get yours?
A breeder.
@@mylittleparrots8931 which breeder. I would like one....
