- Four inns and tavern songs from the role-playing game The Witcher. Composed by either Paweł Błaszczak or Adam Skorupa. Please, Subscribe, Rate, Comment, and Enjoy!!!
Some of the music I posted is not from the official soundtrack, but copied from The Witcher game itself. To find the music look in the music folder of your installation of the Witcher and make copies of the music in a different location. You will also need a sound file converter that can convert the files to mp3s or a media player that plays .ogg files.
I uploaded separate version of the taverns and inn music due to many requests. Follow these links:

The one game that truly made me feel like I was in an inn during the middle ages.
What happened to this atmosphere in between the games? Was it really just the music, or something more?
@@TaxFraudTutorials I think its mainly music but there is something else related like art style idk
@@back5594 i think the backgrounds of the environments, having such limits the way they did left a lot for the imagination whereas in the Witcher 3 the world map is so big that we never bother staring off into the distance.
The Witcher was one of the games most stunning in visual artistry, even the loading screens had my students (and me) gasping. The story, very clever. The music... moments and phrases will stay with me for ever. Thank you, Paweł Błaszczak and Adam Skorupa.
The loading screens were gorgeous. Hand painted and really set the mood for what was to come ahead. Thick with atmosphere as well. It, and its sequel, were one of the few games where you could almost smell the game world, be it the BO, poverty, and open sewerage of the Vizima slums, the bracing night air on the lake shore, the age and dust of the crypts, or the thick with pollen air of the cornfields, together with the feeling that despite it being midday at the height of summer, something was just wrong with the place.
Ascyltos - The Fields! You've nailed it. Summer, beautiful meadows, a scent of fear. The original Morrowind, though visually and imaginatively stunning (I love that game and go back to it when disappointed by others), rarely achieved the same levels of atmosphere.
They even had floral expert/enthusiast to make sure they had proper type of wheat growing in the fields fitting for the medieval-type setting.
That's dedication.
FelineRed Yep, and in 2 and allegedly 3 they've got professional sword fighters to ensure that all Geralt's and other characters' moves are those that duelists and warriors from Central and Eastern Europe c. 1400 would have. In W2 all the sword moves are from Blossfechten or something, and Iorveth plays "Stella splendens" (a real song from that time) on his flute, and the Glagolithic (early Cyrillic) script is used on all in-game text - correctly.
***** sapkowski was bashing the game and calling it inferior and bad actually
3:27 - Tavern at night, Julian telling Geralt the story about his grandfather, unknown Witcher and silver penny: "Grandfather, may Melitele watch over his soul, had a plot of land. A piece of rocky, frozen valley in northern Kovir, and a deserted coalmine with no coal. Grandfather always said that a treasure was concealed in the valley. He worked hard every year to discover that treasure. Initially, many gladly took the jobs he offered and helped. But soon it became clear that grandfather had gone mad, that there was no treasure. When he was 47, had rheumatism and a collection of bobolak scalps above his mantle, he was overcome with grief and went outside. He began cursing the heavens, berating all the known gods in the foulest language he knew. The gods answered. There was a terrible rumble and an avalanche descended on the valley. Grandfather regained consciousness, burrowed out of the snow and looked around to see something that would change his life. The entire valley was glimmering strangely, glimmering so beautifully that he nearly didn't see the beast coming towards him with a heavy gait. Grandfather fled, bending over once to pick up a strangely glimmering stone. In short, he escaped. Descending from the mountains, he encountered a witcher who agreed to slay the monster in exchange for a silver penny. They returned to the valley and the witcher slew the beast. He could not help noticing the wealth laying in that valley, yet he demanded nothing beyond the penny promised him earlier. Grandfather grew to trust him and knew that sooner or later someone or something would come along and want to take his treasure, for the treasure in the valley was immense, Geralt. Diamond deposits that took years to extract... They became partners. The witcher watched the workers, killed monsters, drove off bandits, and grandfather managed the business. He's a legend in Kovir, and my family is wealthy and respected... That's the whole story."
Ah the nostalgia
You just hit my g spot
I listened this story to this music 00:00 XD

Dear God... I love these songs. But what I enjoy more is obviously listening to them while reading the books!
PS Wielki szacun dla Sapkowskiego!
3:27 this is where epicness starts...and in my dreams it never ends...
The image reminds me of Nivellens house from first Witcher book.
Insanely good
OMG
I love this game
First one makes me want to dance. Not entirely sure if any of my ancestors were Irish, but that song makes me feel like it.

@@Runmaister because this track does not sound like to sheer someone up
Incredible sentence structure. I applaud you, good sir.

I can't get the first melody out of my head !!
Nice music! I like the first song especially. Very lively. :)
Amazing
Shit in my boots.
Greetings from Greece. Amazing music!!!
"What bold warrior is tis? Tis Erasmus, the generous!".
My mind just fills with images of riverdancing drowners when I hear the first part. Just me? Thought so...
the first song just feels like a big old celebration with a tribe at a huge bonfire!!!!! ^w^
Loved the game and the music is fantastic! I just wished the tracks on the music cd that came with game were longer!
Świetny klimatyczny utwór w krasnoludzkim stylu;P
Knowing that this was composed by Polish makes it even more legit, because hell! They know how to feast!
The tavern themes are the best!
SO EPIC, I love it!
same here. i loved that inn song.
a friend of mine decided to play the witcher and I was like "THE WITCHER???' xD ( and now I'm a fan of the music---the lit a f tavern music)
its funny how this song isnt on the soundtrack when it clearly its the best song of the game.
it fucking goes on my top 5 songs of all game songs.
Even a bigger reason to visit taverns, a nice evening to forget about the war and the dragons.
3:35 and rest made me cry..
Thanks for ripping the missing tracks :)
Genialne!
Saludos desde México! Bellísima música :D
La mejor musica, me pone muy nostálgico
Witcher is more like: Wow look at this flower, this beautiful!!!!!11.
Skyrim is more like, wow look at this flower, smash it.
I will have wedding with this music, and we will all dance like in medieval times on this tavern music :)
fantastic music
It's on the additional CD with OST from the game added to the game.
first song make me see an image of a brawl in an old tavern in a port. When out of nowhere hell gets loose and bottles fly like grenades
taaaa na jednej sesji RPG grało właśnie Tavern in the End of World... od razu Wiedźmin się przypomniał :3
great music ... and wonderful wen u close your eyes and listen .x.
thx
I keep going back ♥
The first one is damn fun to play on guitar, I tell you!
Close ur eyes, Means u enter a new "dreamless" world. Omg good feeling!
this is song is beatiful
@instert1name
I dont remember that tavern being in the game, but it definitely looks in-engine to me. So it's probably a screenshow showing of the graphic fidelity of the engine.
Love it! I want live this world! :) Andrzej Sapkowski is the best writer in the world! ANy day listen this music. :)))))) From Hungary
@LittleDragon5 : Ceck your game installation folder, it's there.

the first tavern i went in was in the game sa dogs 2 still love it
Brutal.
An English essay in for tomorrow morning? No problem with this playing ;)
i have the last song as ringtone for my mobile phone since ive played The Witcher :))
It sounds so upbeat and fun... for a game that drops F bombs, has lots of sex and violence, and where you play as one of the best badasses around.
witcher 3 announced !!
best taverns songs...:D witcher is my fav game :D
2:09 🐺🐺🐺
2:05 ...simply awesome :)
In future on my weeding i play this 100%
'Ocean with the depth of a puddle' is a perfect way to describe Skyrim, not that I dislike it, its a very pretty ocean-puddle
Witcher taverns and inns, great atmosphere there :) always last a little longer to hear bands music :) anyone know where can i find them?
Nice
Song at 2:11 I would want to use as credits music for a series I'm working on.
C'mon, we Slavic have some nice good music too!
REALLY want to play this game! Got it during the steam sale for cheap, and it can technically run on my computer, but I have to make it look terrible (as in no textures), and even then it runs pretty poorly. I have heard nothing but good things, and want to wait until I get a better rig so that it can play it in decent quality.
I agree
Najlepsza ścieżka dźwiękowa jest w karczmie "Miś Kudłacz"!
Second track is influenced by slovian music... Amazing mix.
Excelnte musica...!!!
It has no direct relation to alcohol, but it's upbeat social music played in a tavern, where people have lively social events with lots of alcohol.
Well... I think it's time to go to tavern!! ^.^
I have Scotish ancestry. every time I listen to this, I want to be back in the Renaissance.
+Caleb Scott I have roman ancestry this music makes it hard to resist conquering Gaul.
Wheatley Yup.
Ayoub Morjane Cool.
+Caleb Scott Explains why your last name is Scott
Love Baltazar Yup. The surname Scott means "One who came from Scotland". We were part of the boernician class in Scotland.
@Anonumisc I don't think I have any decent recording hardware, unfortunately. I'll have to take a look.
Well BEST GAME EVER.
Yeah!! :)
WSPANIAŁE!/AVESOME!
Oj tam, byłem pod wpływem portera ;d
can someone tell me what is the leading instrument in the first track? and i'm even more curious about the one playing the solo from 1:25 to 1:47 also from the first track... i thing it's a dulcimer of some kind but don't know the exact name... santur maybe?
The third music reminds me of Han Som Reiste by Burzum.
'No challenges? I'm itching to hit someone!'
The first track could be music they play at weddings in Poland
As a Pole, i can assure you that you're right.
What's the first music's name ????
Interesting fact, I never knew about that.
seriously witcher 1 ost specially tavern ones, are much better than the witcher 3 tavern ost in my opinion
Bloody hell, where is my skin of wine? Arrrrrr!
Awesome Game!!!! love it's atmosphere. very superior to the gothic series.
When I hear how the moron in Skyrim in the inn sings, I am just trying to do what I have to do as fast as possible and get out of there... lol! In The Witcher 2 I don't want to go out of the inn to do what I have to do because the music is so awesome.. pff..
