Good video. I ended up using Stihl FS lube on my Husky. Bearings started making noise and needed something fast. Think I got it lubed in time to prevent damage.
@@AutoTuneTM possibly. Will keep an eye on it and replace with OEM part if needed. Can i replace the bearings only? Or the entire bevel assembly? Thanks.
@@AutoTuneTM But if you don't remove it, then how do you know whether it's already 3/4 or not? Also, I have a grease tube with a "screw head" that fits tight, so the air is getting in the way (the air seems to have nowhere to go). Anyway, thanks a lot for the video!
Hi. I measured the compression on my Husqvarna 545 RX and it had shown 105 PSI. Is that normal? It seems preety low to me. Could you do a compression test to yours, so that I have a refference? Thanks.
Normal compression is between 90 and 110 psi. A compression lower than 70 psi is indicative of some pretty serious problems. Compression readings alone are not enough to determine the condition of the engine.
There is no advantage to running a 1:33 fuel mixture because all You will achieve is much more smoke and reduced performance. Husqvarna products up to 75cc fuel/oil ratio of 1:50
I have a stihl trimmer fs 56 rc that has NO grease plug on the gear box. yes I bought it new this way. I see replacements have the plug. it does get hot after an hour or so trimming or brush cutting. Ive had it a few years and it spins fine and no noise, But no place to grease it? should I replace the bearbox or drill & tap this box to accept a Zirc?
The gearbox must be lubricated every 40 engine hours. This is done by remove the gearbox from the shaft and adding grease to the gearbox through the input axle (in the gear housing). A long syring is needed there. Anyway, yeah, the gearbox should be heat to the touch after use, even when greased properly
Thank you for the video ! I got new Husqvarna 555 RXT. And I noticed that the gearbox is hitting too much. Fortunately I use the machine only maybe half an hour. I did add grease lubricant. The instructions are very vague. Can it be too much grease ? I had so much that gears are flooded…
@@AutoTuneTM Thank you for answering ! It is a regular head for weed. Is this fitted correctly. That is my third trimmer. Before Husqvarna I had MTD trimmer. It was a good and strong trimmer. But unfortunately, I can’t get parts for it… I think I bought it in 2008.
Well done, without saying a word!
When I was your age there was a thing called zerk fittings.
Good job buddy...
Is this grease molybdenum? (color black)

If it is making noise, the gears have probably already eaten each other.

How many working hours can you work with a Husqvarna oiler?
Do you have to pull the whole head off to check/add grease? What type of.grease you using? Husky brand grease?
Husqvarna 502 51 27-01 Bevel Gear Grease.
Do you have to remove the whole head assembly or can it be done while on the shaft? Thanks
Grease can be added without removing the gear unit.

@@AutoTuneTM Master, is a 1:33 mix okay for the 372 xp 357xp 351 and the 545rx scythe? Will it not make too many deposits? husqvarna LS + oil?

@@AutoTuneTM apparently there are cases of jamming rings at 33: 1?
To avoid these problems, oil with gasoline must be mixed in the proportions recommended by the manufacturer.

hello sir, can i use multipourpose lithium grease 2 for head gear and flexible shaft brush cutter? tq sir
Not recommended. They are not inherently capable of dissipating heat, etc.
@@AutoTuneTM ok sir, how about high themperature bearing grease can i use it
To ensure thelong term reliability on the equipment. Focus on the lubricants made by the manufacturer.
Thanks for sharing. Super helpful
