My father and I used to run an autobody repair shop when I was younger. Most of the customers cars were reasonably clean inside when they were dropped off, and if we were doing an overall paint job, or a reasonable amount of insurance repairs, I would clean the interior of the vehicle before it left our shop. I covered the drivers seat to keep it clean while we were working on it, but sometimes it was needed to keep my coveralls clean.
Glad I’m not the only one who finds that odd when the owner doesn’t want to give up the keys. It happens pretty often to me too here in Florida. Be safe Dustin!
....and Dustin makes another great recovery. It amazes me how many of the cars that Dustin has towed that the interiors look worse then the old town dump (before OSHA or EPA)
That was a bit of a strange recovery. That person wouldn't let you have the key bob. Takes all kinds. Thank you for sharing. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE 🎉🎉🎉
From my experience being an mechanic and having family members who are tow truck drivers when a person gets in a rear end collision and they weren’t at fault but they are persistent to hold their key normally means they either have something to hide or they don’t have insurance or registration on their vehicle
8:21 definitely an uncomfortable feeling. When I used to load on an overpass and there was heavy traffic, you could feel the overpass moving up and down.
Cars today usually aren't repairable, Insurance companies wanna total everything out despite whether they can be fixed or not. But in the case of modern sedans, they don't take much and they are done.
Hearing you say "edge" and seeing that steel cable, reminded me of the 1959 crime mystery, 'Edge of Eternity' starring Cornel Wilde, and Australian, Victoria Shaw. I had no idea that up until synthetic fertilizer, and potash mining got going, bat guano was a very valuable commodity. U S Guano actually built a cable tram across the Grand Canyon to get to a cave filled with what they thought was tons of the stuff. Wiki has a photo of it at Guano Point. But the deposits were less than expected. Why, you might ask, would they spend that kind of money to mine bat crap. I wondered that too, Dustin. It turns out that bat crap contains a lot of nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium. Those are essential for plant growth. Now chemical companies make synthetic fertilizers which are far cheaper. But I liked the movie, which was filmed in Arizona. Compared to Louisiana, it is like a different planet.
I bet he brake checked the semi, considering they are on a long stretch of hwy unless he was already on the shoulder of the road broke down. And if he is at fault and doesn't have full coverage, y'all just got a nissan.
Why would you have full coverage on a older car like that, you would just be throwing away money. Unless it's a newer vehicle or is being financed is the only reason to carry full coverage. Only thing he needs is liability.
@@dman357 Because of uninsured drivers. I have a 2004 F150 with full coverage so I at least get a little something if someone hits me and it gets totaled. Full coverage also covers windshields. I'd never have just liability on any vehicle.
@ yeah, you wasting money. Insurance only going to give you the current value for it. And sometimes not even that. What ever they give you will not be enough to get you another car. 2004 is not worth it. Talk to someone and ask the question is it worth it to have full coverage your 2004 vehicle and watch what they say.
He got something hiding in the car he dont want you all to find first. So he thought he'd keep the key till he comes and empties it out. Why you think he wanted it to go to his dads.
owner of the car has no manners and i would have just told him that you keep the key as you want to make the job as easy as possible for loading and unloading and also the car is in your possession
LIKE #690! Based on my own experience with towing operators and looking at other tow truck drivers and how they operate, you are a 100% professional class act in comparison! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
So professional and in this particular tow ,yet comical. He just ain't gonna give you the keys. I truly enjoy watching you Dustin.
Thanks for not letting me have to listen to their main stream music 😁

G’day from down under in Australia. I’m really enjoying your work Dustin. Very professional.

We are headed that way- we are pulling up now… It didn’t even look like it was another frame. What a smooth, edit, you do a great job Dustin.

Trying to brake check an 18 wheeler and that trucker had a dash cam is what I’m thinking also
Yep.
Not exactly sure why the owner needed to keep the key fob. That car is headed directly to a salvage auction. That WON'T buff right out.

@@richgwozdz8580 I'm going with the former over the latter.

Definitely a trippy feeling when the ground starts shaking lol
Take a ride across the H.P. Long Bridge in New Orleans if you want to feel a bridge 'wobble'
@@Towtruck_Dustin yeah it is
@ no thanks! I can’t stand the feeling 😂
Thank you Dustin, hope you have a great weekend!❤
It would be interesting to see how the crash wrap process works. Im assuming its just a plastic wrap that goes around the car.
Amazing that anyone could let the interior get that nasty. Hanging on to that key fob, it can't go anywhere except the tow lot.

At least the CVT didn’t give out
Keep up with the good work love watching your videos on UA-cam God bless an have a great New year from new Zealand

Good Morning Dustin Happy New Year Brother
Anyone need a set of pre-yellowed headlamps for a SHITSAN? Key fob unavailable though, LOL 🤣.
Another 💥 Nice work as always thanks for your time 👍👍👍👍👍😊
I would say that was sketchy! LOL Good job though Dustin.
Love seeing Buc-ee bag under driver seat. And Buc-ees keeps opening more super gas stations

He did not want you to have the key because he was afraid you were going to drive his pristine Altima around after hours.
😂😂😂
The important part they walked away unhurt.
10:58 the dude driving that red truck was curious 😂 he rolled down his window
Brake Check? Officer said they had to write the guy a ticket.
Or no insurance 🤷♀️.
Good job on the videos
I love what you are doing mat
Bro stop calling him Matt it's not Matt it's Dustin get it right man
What was that UFO that flew by there? While you were unloading the car? Wow neat.
Well its not a Chevy with a fuel pump module.
Nice video!
No full coverage? I doubt his 190 month loan is paid off.

I wonder if the driver of the white car brake checked the semi

hey is that your info or is that your gamil
That’s crazy he could’ve just gave you the key it’s total 😂
Yeah I don’t understand it either lol
owner of the car has no manners and i would have just told him that you keep the key as you want to make the job as easy as possible for loading and unloading and also the car is in your possession
Guess the dude didn't understand that FOB won't do him any good. It's not like someone could use it to get into his house. 🙄🤷♂
Hold up....didnt i see this whole brake check thing on another youtube vid or im just imagining things?
I doubt it, but if you did, send it to me lol
Hopefully the owner is charged extra for no key, lord knows y'all own that one, he ain't coming after that.
Yeah, I’m sure we’ll get stuck with it. It’ll be the next one to go to the scrap yard lol
Keeping his keys…hmmm…maybe he thinks he’s gonna pick it up later…
Great job. Definitely a sus driver
