For those interested in pedal modifications : ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a great affordable "Slow Gear" clone. Stock it do short volume swells very well but it definitely lack versatility. Here is the magic modification : Add a switch to change the value of the C12 capacitor between 1uF (stock : short attack) and 22uF (long attack). Long volume swells are now available. Enjoy! ;-)
Was not convinced at first, but when you added the delay and overdrive, wow. This seems like a brainstorming machine with the right tools. Definitely getting for sure.
Totally awesome that you viewed this pedal! I became subscriber a couple of weeks ago. I’ve entered the contest, but I’m actually driving right now to buy a used version of this pedal off of marketplace and it occurred to me that I had no idea what these pedals were like new as far as price goes And I also wanted to know what you thought about it because I want to get like a pedal that reproduces the boss gear effect but I’m not spending $6000 for that freaking pedal so alternative solution I decided some reviews to look up reviews that is and who’s there my man! So thank you for being the man sincerely yours and God bless, please and thank you Mr. Jommins
I have the Mooer Slow Engine and I like to set up my effects chain Compressor>Slow Engine with long attack>EHX Stereo Pulsar tremolo. You should try the Crescendo out with the Choka.
Do you have a video with that green SG in the background? That's a sweet looking guitar. Almost refinished my SG in that color, but decided to go with white.
Hey everyone. Can someone please tell me the name of the guitar he is playing? And who makes it? I can't make out the name on the headstock because my screen is too small. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
It does, with a weird tremelo effect too. Have to say that I'm not a massive fan - it introduces a noticeable amount of distortion to the tone and the effect isn't particularly useful. Far from the promised "violin" effect. More like a reverse wah. I bought it super cheap from a guy who owned it for five minutes and immediately hated it so it's not just me.
I got one of these it's pretty cool but only really usable on one setting both knob extreme left and right. It does very little but nice effect. I did think it would do more so bit disappointed. Thinking of selling now cuz I can make swells just by turning the volume knob on guitar anyway.
After od. That way the level of gain remain the same and only the volume changes. Before od it would be more of a tone change caused by inscreasing gain that a volume change.
I don't have the pedal, but as it modulates volume, it should affect both before and after. I mean this in the sense that it turns whatever overdriven, modulated or whatever sound down that comes in and sends a louder/quieter signal into the pedals that come after it. However, as with most pedals there are probably interactions with other pedals. So overdrive pedals before it have a continuously stronger signal that might affect the sound. More critical should be other volume modulating effects. I guess with a tremolo it will get messy, especially if the tremolo comes after it. If the swell low point of this pedal hits a volume peak of the tremolo they could neutralize each other. So I guess you should be able to use it before or after other effects, but I guess the cleanest way would be to use it at the end of your chain, do it change the volume of whatever you might have in your signal chain before. However, just keep in mind that especially tremolo and maybe also delay with a lot of decay on the repeats might show unexpected results...
honestly, not much happens outside its most extreme settings, i've had other slow gear style pedals that were the same way. Typically i show the full range of every knob in demos but there wasn't much reason to do that with this one.
I keep forgetting TC switches are electronic latchinng, NOT mechanical....must remember to just tap it, not try to click....good inovation from TC, and 60cycle as well..( in the uk its 50 cycle (or 100 cycle full wave))..................
Kinda disappointing pedal imho, it’s cool on paper but in practice it sorta just sounds like a reverse guitar effect. I would love to plug drum machines and weird stuff into it though.
Your playing is a breath of fresh air way better the the usual mindless shredding on UA-cam.
If i could shred mindlessly i would.
60 Cycle Hum hahaha yeah I'm sure all of us would.
No that was a really pretty sounding idea with the reverse delay, i might have to steal it :P
Don't forget the endless blues licks 😒

Thanks man. Really appreciate people who share info, and not just, "great vid man".

🤦🏻♂️
Stuff like this is great with lots of delay and reverb.
Согласен! 🤝🏽

that would be a good combo, if i have time ill film extra demos like that.
THank you for this review!!!

No Hawaiian shirt. Not Ryan Burke.
how does this keep up with fast playing?
Does anyone know if I could use this with a bass (in conjunction with some synth pedals) to achieve a sort-of sidechained bass effect?
Why not? Anything is possible and it's what you want to achieve

love your channel!
this or the mooer slow engine?
same doubt
@@carloguarrera8568 Both!
@@GreenmanWood I got the crescendo. it is not bad.
LOVE the guitar
Nice. It’s similar to a Mooer Slow Engine but less $$. 👍🏻
Blkjakk both are clones of the vintage boss slow gear.
60 Cycle Hum Exactly but who wants to pay $$$$$$ for a used Boss?!
no one, well maybe a few people, not me though.
Which is better?? @@60CycleHumcast
Where in a pedal chain would you put this with reverb pedal / delay pedal and chorus please. Great review.
Really depends what you want to do with it. It’s versatile.
I sold my Behringer Slow Motion because it controlled (has cut) the END of the sound, too, and I didn't like it. Does this do the same thing or no ?

How does this compare to the Outlaw Late Riser or Mooer Slow Engine?
You tell us.
Sounds cool !

Awesome
Where do you put that pedal after od or before od
After od. That way the level of gain remain the same and only the volume changes. Before od it would be more of a tone change caused by inscreasing gain that a volume change.
Does the pedal affect the entire signal or just the pedals after it? Also curious to know what to place in your chain.

Which guitar is that?
U should post a video of the epiphone with the lip sticks in it
dont worry, i will
I love this weird shaped guitar. The Green one in the wall is even more crazy. What brand are they?
Eastwood guitars
THIS TONE!!
You played one setting the whole video.....thanks a lot.

I much prefer detailed

Someone needs to do some Steve Hackett type sounds with this
You're damn right. Alla Supper s Ready!!!
I've got a hole in my pedal board 🤪
Anyone else use the Prophet? I think it's a good value digital delay
I think its great!
juusie i love it! It makes good noises.
Yep, just wish the pedals in this series weren’t the size of a brick!
How did I not know about this, it's basically an EHX attack decay without the fuzz and 3 times cheaper.
Kinda disappointing pedal imho, it’s cool on paper but in practice it sorta just sounds like a reverse guitar effect. I would love to plug drum machines and weird stuff into it though.
