Yes. It was my first stay in Vegas. I really enjoyed it because of the location, the garden, the pool and the price point. We had partial Bellagio view 👍
Hi Guys.. Cedarburg here! We have been staying at Flamingo for 16 years and love it. Center of action, don't have to walk a mile to our room. Usually hit back breakfast bar then out to strip. Love your channel! P.S. I 'm 75 and still pushing it! Carol Martin
I'm not sure what Caesars' going to do with it and I don't know if it's just me, but even through the renovations I can see some leftover 80's atheistic in the Flamingo's interior, and that's not a criticism I found really charming actually. I also like how they still have that flashy pink neon entrance and haven't caved into replacing it with a plain LED screen yet. I hope they never get rid of it. It's like, a little retro Vegas, but without feeling cheap or worn out. If that makes any sense?
The drunk stumbling in the median made me chuckle. I've been staying at the Flamingo for over 15 years now. It's in the middle of the action. Sometimes I don't leave the property, sometimes I walk to the bigger new casinos. Always a good time.
We ALWAYS go to the Flamingo when we go to Vegas. AWESOME place and yes, best place for people watching. Plus, it's pretty much centrally located to go anywhere else. LOVE the vids!
Great review Ruby! I love it when you stay in and review an entry-level basic room. That’s so much more relevant than when you review higher end suites.
I love this intro. Reminds me of The Love Boat tv show, and other 1970's sitcoms. My favorite intro though is still the one where it's early morning on the strip, and you're sitting on the curb, put on your music, then dance into the Miracle Mile shops.
Hey Ruby, I am going to Vegas for the first time in about a week! I found your channel a couple months ago and it has been such a big help with planning. I watched your packing video the other night and u saw a couple comments on there asking you to do a makeup video for the vegas climate. I wanna add to the list of people who are super curious about that! I would love to see you do a video of day/night looks that will withstand the vegas climate
I work at Flamingo, and as it stands, the buffet is entirely shut down with no plans to re-open. But everything is still stored back there behind that temporary wall, so it's not out of the question. There is a nice peaceful employee restroom back there at least lol
I've stayed at the Flamingo several times and it's my favorite "classic Vegas" hotel. Love the location on the strip, fantastic casino and the grounds. The only downside imo is the buffet but the other food options are good and there are off the hook buffets all around. Can't wait to go back and check out the new rooms. And can we talk about the view from your window? Stunning!!!
I'm here now and it is like, 97% Maskless and the strip is crowded. The International Tourists are definitely back. The prices seemed to have increased even more up since my last visit at the end of January this year. I did Black Tap last night and it was great thanks for the recommendation. Did the Fly Over Vegas DRD Package attraction this afternoon and it was super fun. Looking forward to Silk Sonic tomorrow night!.
great video. To me the best features of the Flamingo are it's location on the Strip and how quickly you can go from your room to the sidewalk. Many of the newer resorts are a looooong walk. Thanks Ruby!
Love the Strip View Go Rooms, with our rewards, the rooms are usually super cheap and the view is AMAZING! Really cute, spacious room with kind of a 50s vibe, lots of pink and white!
I love this! So impressed with how honest you are. I love watching your videos, have been watching for quite a while but just subscribed. My husband and I got married in Vegas 3 years ago 3/3/2019 and we’re leaving tomorrow to come back and celebrate! We have been loving every video you have done, they keep getting better and better! Thanks for keeping us up with the best stuff! ❤️
I recently started watching your videos think your content is superior to other bloggers. I love that you cover entire casino information and don't spend a ridiculous amount of time making us watch you chee your food. Favorite person to watch!
Stayed on strip at many different hotels for many years back in the 80’s. Then someone got a brain fart idea of making Las Vegas more family friendly. Got so packed with kids we went downtown for many years. Then the Fremont experience was built. Just got to crazy. So for about past 10 years we have started staying at hotels off the strip and downtown and are loving it. Occasionally will check out the strip and downtown when on Las Vegas. But enjoy the stay so much better away from the craziness!
We went during the holidays and went ahead and paid a little extra for the new mini suite bunkroom! The bunkbeds are all Queens so we had enough room for 6! The kids loved the bunks and extra playing area.
I LOVE the Flamingo. I’ve only stayed in the strip view, newly renovated rooms. It was wonderful! I love the energy of that hotel, the location, the casino….and I love 🦩 so it was a win win lol My room looked just like the one in this video minus the strip view.
Ruby I like your videos of the different hotels. Its good to know the prices and types of rooms and restaurants the hotels have. You seem to explain it well to. Your a good spokesperson for information about the Las Vegas strip hotels casinos and restaurants.
Flamingo is in a great spot on the strip as well, right in the meaty part if you ask me! It's 3 star but you can't complain because the price is always competitive. This hotel is for people that won't be spending much time in their rooms. Video looks great btw, keep up the good work! Try gold coast or palms possibly?
Planning on going to LAs Vegas for the first time. Literally just discovered this channel yesterday and it's been very helpful. Love the honest critics. Love the amount of detail in these videos. Very easy to watch and follow. Thanks Ruby
I live in Vegas and I might hit the strip once a year and downtown half a dozen times (almost exclusively to eat - downtown is a foodie oasis) but I'm OBSESSED with your videos hahaha I watch them and think YES! I SHOULD ABSOLUTELY GO TO THE FLAMINGO!!!! Then I remember I'm a single mom with a young kiddo. But I love your vibe 🥰
Super fun beginning!! We stayed have stayed at the Flamingo and liked it. Surprisingly our experience at The Flamingo was better than Paris (room wise). Even living here, I love watching your videos ☺️
Ruby thanks for the great video on the Flamingo! You covered everything! I love the flamingo. I like how the windows are floor to ceiling and the rooms are very large and roomy! If your lucky you can face the Bellagio Fountains! I know what you mean about the vibe in the casino. I totally feel the same way. Do you think they knew you were vloggers when they upgraded you to the renovated room?
I’m going next week for my 30th birthday/Mother’s Day and it’s my second time to the flamingo. This has me even more excited and I was already freaking the heck out 😂 have never been to the Bird Bar so putting that on the list, and the 2x1 margs with chips and salsa seem like the perfect situation ✨
I like to visit the habitat at the Flamingo. Enjoy visiting the pink flamingos, ducks, and coy fish. Find it calming. I was visiting in Las Vegas during the Mandalay Bay shooting. The next morning took a long walk and found myself calmer in the habitat. A bit of reality in sin city.
I have stayed at the flamingo a few times with my mom and loved it ❤ it seems to have changed a bunch over the years. The pool was always so huge. Hoping to go back this year for me and my husband's anniversary 🎉
Stopping at Flamingo at Easter. Had the choice of cheap cosmo room, but opted for better flamingo. Bit of old vegas and right in the action. Bring it on woohoo !
We usually stay at the Flamingo...last time was this past October. Our room was a strip view and was clean and everything worked. Staff was great and liked having all the new food places outside. Great location.
Had a great stay in same room type in nov. We didn’t really take in the hotel/casino amenities, as we had show tickets at other properties and ate and drank elsewhere for the most part. Had a good lunch at Carlos n Charlie’s and good late night burgers one time. Room was great. Very clean. We knew we wanted a mini fridge, so that was a factor in our hotel choice. Only issue was no full length mirror. No biggie.
Love the bird bar sat there on the night of our 25th wedding anniversary after watching Celine at Caesars until 5am great spot...luckily only had to cross the road to the mirage to get to bed.xx love your vlogs from the UK
@@nancyanderson2032 I would say it was an isolated incident, but my flip flops were stolen, and the next day at the pool the guy sitting next me had his size 11 slides stolen as well.
Enjoyed your videos and Coolist guy's so much that my wife and I took a quick weekend and went to Las Vegas for the first time. It was one of the best times of our lives. Had a magnificent stay at Paris and loved it all. Thanks for these entertaining videos. Looking forward to many more
Dear Ruby and Mr R. We have realy enjoyed your reviews and tips for a great stay in Lost Wages. Currently having a lovely stay in the Venetian and tucking into some of you food venue recommendations. Walgreen is realy convenient for...er....refreshments and a quick sandwich. Please keep up you great work! Kind regards.
Awesome tips Ruby! Thanks! Booked for the end of the month for 4 nights. 😎 always been fascinated with the flamingo since I was a kid! Figured we’d give it a shot considering the price and the location!
Staying at the flamingo in 22 days! I’m soo excited! Just slightly worried because lately they have a lot of reviews about the rooms being extremely dirty, and housekeeping never coming. I always wonder if those who say housekeeping doesn’t come are those who don’t leave a tip.
I bought the little backpack bag you are wearing in this video after another video you recommended it in and love it. Going to use it for my April Vegas trip 🎰
Your review is spot on! Last vegas trip I went on Carlos and Charlie’s was my top choice as most overrated for price. I ended up paying $45 for EACH of their largest margarita. $90 for two margaritas wasn’t worth it, especially when you can taste all the syrup and mixers they added to it. A real margarita shouldn’t have sweet and sour mix. 😭😭 oh well, live and learn. Great content Mr. and Mrs. Ruby!!! ♥️♥️
For dining options, the promenade in just north between the Flamingo and Lync with tons of options at various price points. Gordon Ramsey's Fish and Chips is one of my favorites. Brooklyn Bowl is also a great place for concerts.
We'll be back at Flamingo in August. It will be our first time back since our honeymoon. Since then we've stayed at Bellagio but on our most recent trip, the walk to Bellagio Spa Tower was a little too much. We're so excited to be back at the Flamingo
I remember when it was the place to stay. Now it seems like the reality of Vegas is in place, it won't be to long until they start charging you for the air you breathe.
The restaurant you sat and had a meal at Flamingo, their breakfast food is good, we had breakfast thwre twice at our July stay, of course if you order stake its close to 20 bucks for your meal but i did a basic platter of french toast with eggs and bacon( bacon is fabulous) and it was 10 bucks. Yumm and very filling. We stayed at the Flamingo in July and our room was filthy, it had not been cleaned good in months, sure they cleaned the surface of everything but clean clean , no we also had no remote to tv for 8 hours they finally showed up at 10pm to our room door with one on our first night. The picture in the inside of the bathroom door was half peeled off the dispensers in shower did not work, we brought our own toilet trees anyways. Over all we had fun in the casino itself but we wint be staying at the Flamingo again, we did stay in the same room too. We definitely want to check out the Bird Bar when we visit in May.
I prefer the rooms by the spa elevators, stayed in the back and felt like I had to walk almost a mile from my room to the elevator. Family pool is kid crowded at times but water temp is perfect. Just back from my trip in February and can’t wait to get back!!!!
We have been staying at The " Dirty Bird " for Years Lol... Location , Old school feel, Just That Vegas Experience It's all there.. Many other Stay's at Casino/Hotel's on the Strip.. But there is just something about it.. We have our next trip booked there now.. Pretty Bummed the poker room is closed , It was the best on the strip IMO.. Food for every taste and budget is within walking distance so that's covered.. Congrats on 100K !! Long time Sub...
I've ate at most of the places you went to in the Flamingo (that food court and the mexican restaurant) and I agreed. Overpriced for what you get and the food is...Fine.
I went in July 2020 and it was surprisingly crowded. It had been back open for a few weeks. I stayed at the Venetian but I walked through Flamingo and found its casino to be the most fun and lively
Thank you for all the great videos from Vegas. I am here now and trying some of your ideas. If you and Mr Ruby are here this week and next maybe I will see you somewhere.
Getting married at the Flamingo in may 2022! I've stayed there multiple times and love it..right in the middle of the strip and it's very reasonable to stay
I'm going in September and that's where I will be staying. Then again, I always stay at The Flamingo every time I go to Vegas, my beautiful home away from home.🙂🍺🍺🍺
I've stayed there the last 3 times I've been to Vegas. I was just there last week. The location, being center strip is great and the price is good. I always stay in the upgraded Flamingo rooms. Way nicer in my opinion. Its not my favorite place to gamble as I mainly play poker but the location and price is why I choose it.
I recently was Las Vegas (the last week in June 2022) & stayed next door to the Flamingo (Bally's). But I did pay a visit to The Flamingo one night for a Vegas Cabaret style show (& yes!! The girls were hott, lol!!) Payed a visit to the food court, after the show. Kinda pricey, but very decent @ that. Then walked through the casino/bar area & was very impressed!! Doing a lot of comparing between the hotel I was residing g at (Bally's) & here @ The Flamingo. My next visit here ti Las Vegas, I might seriously consider staying g @ The Flamingo!! Excellent video, too, Ruby!! 🙂😎😁
I think it is. The renovated rooms aren't bad, amazing pool, and the location is awesome. Big problems with the nice places aside from costing a lot of money is the location unless you don't have much desire to travel and stay near the resort.
When I stayed there they offered to "upgrade" me to a newly renovated room for $30+ more a night. I had already paid online and said no. My room was DISGUSTING. Hair clog in the shower, moldy caulk, mystery stains everywhere. I think it sucks they would try to con you into paying more just for a clean room. They should ALL be clean regardless of price or age.
Wow, looks so different from when we stayed there 10 years ago. We had a fun hot pink and white room with strip view but the public areas were so dated!
Love the Flamingo. Location is great. Enjoy blackjack @ Flamingo, Harrahs n Ballys (soon Binions). Don’t go to Las Vegas to sleep, but rooms always clean. Friendly staff. Bugsy’s steaks n bar are awesome. Margaritaville is fun n good drinks. Thanks to the Flamingo n staff for always making our stay enjoyable.
I love the flamingo I had the Go Room The bunk bed room and the "New bunk bed room suite" The prices are great here... But we will be trying a new hotel this September
I really like the location of this hotel. It’s right across the street from Caesar’s Palace and the Bellagio Fountains. The Linq Hotel is right next door to the Flamingo and in between both hotels is the Linq Promenade, which has a ton of dining and shopping options. Great location.
Stayed at the flamingo may 2021 in one of the flamingo rooms.... it’s one of my favs .... great location.... loved being close to the linq dining .... we stayed 5 nites 👍🏻
I love the Flamingo! Central location on the strip..beautiful pool..Batistas restaurant is just a few steps away..its right across the street from Caesars...hotel isnt so massive that you have to walk forever to your room. The food court inside is handy and the casino floor is great!
I loved the the look at the camera at the beginning like when you were posing with the pizza. I always thought it was corny at the beginning of ball games when they show the players looking down and then they lift their heads up in unison.
I have stayed at Harrahs, the Linq, the Flamingo, the Cromwell, and Bally's and the Flamingo is my favorite. I don't eat there, i kinda gamble there, i've never seen a show there... I just like it!!!
As someone who lives in New York, it's so important to save money by going for cheap eats and cheap hotels since I'm obviously spending a good amount of money on travel. Right now, I'm aiming for a 3-4 day trip, maybe a half day each for travel back and forth, so trying to find things close together to cut down on travel time in Vegas. Don't wanna feel rushed. Probably gonna be mainly walking/taking the monorail. Always try to avoid spending lots of money/time on the roads to avoid traffic. I've been told the Vegas, especially around The Strip is a lot like NYC.
Would you stay at Flamingo? 🦩
Drop a comment!
Yes I stay there.
I'd stay anywhere that was safe and clean, it's only somewhere to sleep.
Yes. It was my first stay in Vegas. I really enjoyed it because of the location, the garden, the pool and the price point. We had partial Bellagio view 👍

I'm not sure what Caesars' going to do with it and I don't know if it's just me, but even through the renovations I can see some leftover 80's atheistic in the Flamingo's interior, and that's not a criticism I found really charming actually. It's like, a little retro Vegas, but without feeling cheap or worn out. If that makes any sense?

It's all there..
They did a great job with the bathroom. not just a face lift, worth considering now.
Flamingo wouldn't be my first choice to stay at, but if you are looking for a cheap spot center strip, it's does have a killer location on the strip!
Love the Vegas vacation in the background great touch!!
I'll see you at Las Vegas March 23
glad to see the Peppermill restaurant shirt... great place to eat, and the lounge is wonderful.
Getting married at the Flamingo in may 2022! I've stayed there multiple times and love it..right in the middle of the strip and it's very reasonable to stay
Years years ago The Flamingo had one of the best buffets with chilled sawed open king crab. If you sat by the windows you could watch the flamingo's.
Informative video of Flamingo and food and room prices
Cute video...starring Ruby!! 😎
I had my 39th Birthday in the pool so dope drinks are 30$ the whole music and pool party Awesome🙏💯
I like the Flamingo! Nice job Mr. Ruby with the audio!
That Cousin Eddie track is 🔥!!!
I love the flamingo
I had the Go Room
The bunk bed room and the "New bunk bed room suite" The prices are great here... But we will be trying a new hotel this September
Wow! We used to stay at the Flamingo all the time like 20 years ago. It has changed a lot (for the better).
Great vid! I'm not really a buffet person but I always liked the atmosphere of the Flamingo buffet. Sad to hear it may be gone.
"Flamingo" 😂
this was your goofiest review i've watched and i've seen many of your reviews. the intro had me cracking up!
Love your videos , going back next month I will be staying at the Aria and Cosmo I can hardly wait !!!
legend has it my man is still stranded in the median
10 years going to Las Vegas and this July will be the first time I stay at Flamingo. I am craving some steaks so hopefully I can enjoy some.
I stayed at the Flamingo in Santa Rosa. Nice resort and rooms. They had a nice brunch to.
I peep that Peppermill shirt! I love the vibe of that lounge.
I love your videos and livestreams with you and your husband you guys know how to have a good time! 👍🏾🥂
I hear those subtle "Vegas Vacation" quotes in the music... ;)
The intro had me dying !!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had to watch it twice! Soooo 80's tgif ish😆😆
