This video is a detailed tutorial for a Medieval House it has a lower basement which has been decorated as a shop in my build and a large open first floor which has been separated into smaller rooms in my video) As always all the materials are listed in the description. Special Thanks: The decoration on this build was done by FirePumpkin Check her out here ua-cam.com/users/FirePumpkin ua-cam.com/users/FirePumpkin
Aaron Longstaff, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for what you do. You've inspired me to build better two years ago when I first started playing ark. Now I'm the tribe builder!
The timing for this video could not be more perfect! My husband, daughter and I just started a Primitive+ playthrough since we haven't done it before and I was looking for a smallish house to build. Big thanks for the build video!
My thatch ceiling won't snap to half of the catwalk, it snaps over the whole thing so I can't place walls in the center of the wooden ceilings for the roof. Has to be my settings, I just don't remember changing any building settings.
Aaron, because of you my building skills have improved. But I lack imagination on the interior design. It's a but frustrating that you cut out a nice chunk of the interior. Could you show us more please 🙏
I have been following your builds for three years now and this one is amazing as usual! I wanted to know what youd reccomend instead of adobe (I dont have it on my map) wood or stone as a substitute. Thanks in advance!!
I love your videos, i just have the issue of not useing the right snap points so it comes out cockeyed, then i try to fix it only to make it worse so i give up and try again XD.
I dunno if ark update borked it or if Im just bad at building but I could not get the wood walla to snap to the thatch ceiling no matter what I tried. It just kept destroying the adobe wall to replace it. I tried all the cycling through the snap points it just wouldnt go.
I can’t get the second wooden ramp on the ceiling going down at 14:30 to work, it kept staying red.. I’m not sure what I did wrong, or if it’s just ark being difficult with building like usual, lol
I rebuilt the entire roof and sections of it a dozen times on official pve, but I did remedy my issue by at least putting stairs that I converted to the ramp look, where I couldn’t put the actual ramps- on the bottom outer parts. Which did give it a cute quant look still.☺️
Every time I try to do the roof and connect the wooden walls to the thatch in the middle and then demolish the thatch it demolishes it all I need helpppp
Great Video! Can you make a video on how to make stairs close to water and in water? I am having trouble with building the entrance stairs to my base, which are in the water and I can't figure how to do it
Is there a function to the catwalks and rope ladders or are they just fluffy design? And why do you flip the sloped thatch walls prior to installing the flipped Adobe walls, and do they need to be a specific slope? Thx as always, trying to fully understand the Mechanix of ARK building.
The Rope ladders are just for show and the flipped thatch walls allows you to create the double walls without having to use fence foundations keeping the inner wall the same height as the outer wall
I know that’s it’s still crap to play on Switch, that’s honestly all I have right now since I no longer have a computer (rip) is there any way We could get the controls for those too for placement buttons? I can’t wait for the switch update in September 😩
Yeah I was thinking about that recently the issue is most of the builds use the updated materials, if the new update in September adds the Homestead update I will start to add the Switch controls to my videos
Hello, I wanted to congratulate you because I am a fan of your videos, I enjoy your work and I have a great time, I wanted to ask you if you knew how to get the creative construction limit because it only leaves me 6662 structures on ps4. Thank you in advance and greetings from Argentina
9:44 and that's as far as I got. That damn wall would not attach to the double doorframe no matter what I did. A wooden wall would snap to it but nothing else, and I also couldn't get any walls to snap to the thatch ceilings on the outside of the first layer of walls, except for the wood walls over the greenhouse walls, THEY snapped just fine, the b*stards!! I HATE Ark building mechanics!

Thanks for the tutorial.
Gonna give it a go. 👍
I've just finished building this on a cliff on lost island. I love it so much! Thank you! Now to decorate 😁
Any good suggestions on a alternative to the adobe stuff?
Aaron Longstaff, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for what you do. You've inspired me to build better two years ago when I first started playing ark. Now I'm the tribe builder!
Ah thank you for that so glad the videos helped!
Remember as always this build is completely Vanilla and can be built on official settings
Dude I just gotta say, you are a pure craftsman and I love watching everything you make man. Awesome work.
Love it. My favorite builds of yours are the smaller base/home builds.
This is my first time using a tutorial for builds and I love how it turned out! Thanks a lot man!
Place a flipped wooden railing - and by God if you don't flip that railing ...
This is an amazing compact build. Thank you for all your effort!

The forges n smithys dont work 💀
Bad idea to do primitive plus because a lot of items (mainly adobe) are missing and well a lot of other items don't work
Just built this and now I need to decorate! Awesome as always
Awesome build as always!
Thanks glad you like it!
Awesome stuff as always! Love the design.
Thanks for sharing all of your builds. I have many favorites. Can't wait to build this one.

10:00 the moment there was an unnamed wall change
U make it look easy lol
Best use of adobe you can see anywhere.
Once ark 2 is out your channel will blow up
Thank you I really hope so!
Another great build man.
mEDIEVAL STYLe!!! Just in time for the new map coming out soon too :D
Thanks for the build. How did you do those counters in the video? They look so cool
Thank you so much, which counters do you mean?
Check out FirePumpkins decoration video in the link
I love this build as always! But does anyone know the list of raw materials needed to build it (stone wood thatch etc.)
Fun fact: I was born with the last name Longstaff.
Love your videos man, your creativity is amazing.
SNAP!
Could you maybe do some builds with unofficial settings where nothing is obstructed. I think this would bring even more possibilities
14:35 is there another method for this ? bc my server doesn't have these stairs

I saw your comment if you have beaver dams there is sand near the shores you can Ark wiki map resources for the map your on

def gunna try this

I'm crazy now after building this house, how much clay I had to get, I'm a psychopath now

weird that turning stairs into a ramp is different to an actual ramp
Every time I try to do the roof and connect the wooden walls to the thatch in the middle and then demolish the thatch it demolishes it all I need helpppp
Why can’t I place items like forges, fabricators, etc, downstairs in the stone section?
How do i know what colors were used? and can i make the building first then paint?
I wonder if its insulated, ive noticed that many of the ramp roof building dont give insulation sadly.
guess ill make it in creative 1st to see, id really like to use this in a real setting
Great Video! Can you make a video on how to make stairs close to water and in water? I am having trouble with building the entrance stairs to my base, which are in the water and I can't figure how to do it
the most troublesome is to use pillars and stairs
Is there a function to the catwalks and rope ladders or are they just fluffy design?
And why do you flip the sloped thatch walls prior to installing the flipped Adobe walls, and do they need to be a specific slope?
Thx as always, trying to fully understand the Mechanix of ARK building.

Thx. Much appreciated that you respond. Much respect for you!
SO A GREAT BUILDING I LOVE IT
Cheers

I’m a big fan of him
Does anyone know which colours he used to paint it afterwards? Thanks in advance
hello it would be possible for you to make a blacksmith house and a house of goods in viking mode?
I know that’s it’s still crap to play on Switch, that’s honestly all I have right now since I no longer have a computer (rip) is there any way We could get the controls for those too for placement buttons? I can’t wait for the switch update in September 😩
