I wonder if you would've walked away with the fob and came back a couple of minutes later I wonder if the screen would've worked.... Mine would do the same thing before all my updates, and I would just walk away with the fob and then come back and it would work..... the exhaust sounds great for the price. I ended up getting a supertrapp for mine over the holidays.
It’s never had an update it will in the spring when I take it in. I havnt tried it after I made this video. I’ll give it a shot tm and see! How you like it?
Yeah man! I traded a new Fatboy for it. I like riding dirt roads and the Fatboy with those fat tires were sketch on gravel. The pan America can easily go 30 on gravel just fine it’s wild.
I've watched a lot of videos on these and they sure have a lot of problems, fuel pumps, kick stand, heat from pipes, starting issues, regulator in stupid place, air filter access, and more. I would like to have one but just too many problems, like that pipe though sounds great !
First off, get another battery. I went with an anti gravity lithium wth double the cranking amps. The stock 220 isn't enough. If you want to stay with AGM, there are a few available with 360 cranking amps. Dennis kirk has them for around 150.00. Next, do your screen update. It came out on 12/11/23. Easy to do yourself with a computer and a flash drive. It fixes the blackout bug and a few other fixed/changes. There are a couple of you tube videos that can walk you through it.
@keithulhul7540 why do you need a sealed lithium? There is no fluid. They weigh 1/3 of an AGM. And I'm not sure what you mean by vibration since a lot of outdoor power equipment (lawn mowers, chainsaws, etc) run on lithium batteries. I have freinds that run them in their dirt bikes. No issues. But to each their own.
@jimmyjames6487 the battery is right behind the front tire. And exposed to the elements. Vs other bikes keeping it under the seat. You do you, but I wouldn't take the chance on a lithium with the pan.
I got the screen updated and I learned with the stock battery if you pull the clutch in it starts every time so far. I probably will update the battery in the future tho just for peace of mind.
@keithulhul7540 yes, I know where the battery is located because I'm the one that replaced it over a year ago. Im beginning to think you dont have any knowledge on lithium motorcycle battery's. A few companies make a direct replacement sized and fitted for the PA. They all carry a "waterproof" rating, so I'm not sure where you are getting your information. Do you really think they would sell a battery specifically listed for that bike if they believed damage to a 25k bike would happen? No. Another reason I went with the antigravity brand is the built in Jumpstart feature. If the battery discharges to a certain point, it shuts itself off "sleep mode" to maintain enough charge to start the bike. You simply plug the remote into the battery tender port and press a button. It wakes up the battery and you can restart the bike. I found this option handy because of the location of the battery and the work involved just to get a jump pack hooked to it. But hey, if you want a 10lb paperweight that barely has enough juice to start your bike, keep the stock AGM. You do you.
I take it in the hay fields in the summer time when hay season is in. We don’t really have any off-road trail near me. Just a lot of gravel roads. I might ride to some on the summer time if I have time tho this year.
(Harley Technician here) its ALWAYS something with these Pan Ams, but sweet sound!
Thanks!
I’m looking at the new 2024 pan am. Can’t decide on spokes or road rims
Love that exhaust! Sounds great 🥃🥃
Thanks!!
Everytime I watch a video on one of these I see a new and different issue… Best of luck with it…
It has its quirks haha buts it fun
Jekill and hyde exhaust is the bomb on the pannn
Those are very nice!!
Nice exhaust! I was considering it but I'm concerned it's too lout. How loud is it? From the video I can't really tell! Thanks
It’s loud on start up when it’s really cold but after it’s warm it’s not bad. It’s not as loud as a regular Harley that’s for sure
Bought me one of those as well. Just looking around to find an exhaust for it.
I’d watch a few UA-cam videos of different exhaust systems and see what one you like the best. That’s what I did.

@@CJ_Kraus dude, i traded in a lowrider s and couldn't be happier, I'm older though and love the riding position...and it handles like a dream

@@CJ_Kraus right! I'm at the point where when I'm riding I like to look and go I wonder where that leads.....
Very honest experience review, Thank you!
Love the exhaust! And thank you!

Change the battery in the key fob. Mine did the same thing and that fixed it.
My bike needed 4 updates. So far so good!

Lithium batteries are not resistant to vibration like agm are. Agm are also sealed.

are u gonna take it on some offroad trails?

nice@@CJ_Kraus
Did you have to do a retune?
Nah it runs better tbh. Seems to start easier too.
They made these in 2001?😅
Did I say 2001? 🫠
That bike is gonna need a new battery, harness, ground relocation, a 2024 charging system upgrade and a few other things common for the 21’s
I will say since I did change the exhaust and now hold the clutch in even when in neutral it seems to start much easier.
@@CJ_Kraus I bet it breathes better, I was eye balling the 2 brothers exhaust for it too
I found a milk crate so I bought a KLR to go with it. Like the exhaust....the bike not so much. I'm an el cheapo :)
I feel ya haha
Listen braas , bruuhs bro im getting one of does
You’ll like it!
man what a bad ass bike@@CJ_Kraus
Get rid of that battery if it has a Harley label on it they are junk always had issues with mine
I feel that!
