This was so excited to watch! I had goosebumps the whole time! And, I bawled when you said that you let her have the extra night in the hospital with him. Congratulations to you all.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am due at the end of August and have chosen a wonderful couple to raise my baby. It really helps me prepare for the birth to watch wonderful families like yours take your precious babies home. Thank you for loving your baby and birthmomma.
Thanks so much for sharing this with me... You are a strong and amazing woman! Adoption is so much more than what the media makes it out to be - it is filled with so many blessings and the beginning of many beautiful relationships & lots of love. I am praying for you, the baby and the family you have chosen. God bless! ~Erika
I want to thank God for your life. You are the first person that I have had say about the birth mother. That you were going to keep her in prayer and that it was a sensitive time for her. God Bless you and you showed true love the Love of God.
Erika, you are such an inspiring person and I'm so happy that you are so full of joy. I'm crying right now because of JT's sweet little face. What a beautiful boy.
I asked on your other vid of 2nd mtg with birtmom if u had follow up videos and then i found this one. So glad to see it turned out well. Always happy when a baby is brought into a Godly home. God bless.
This Amazing Video Made Me Cry, It Was So Sweet Of You To Adopt Him. And Take Good Care Of That Baby! I Am Just 11 Years, And I Think I Wanna Adopt Kids To Raise Them Correctly And Make Sure They Have A Good Future Like I Know You Would
omg, he is soooo cute!!!!!! ahhh, he is lucky to have a mother like you, I would like to hear an update on how life has been with him, sorry, I just joined your channel so I am new to the story, he must be a little man by now
@kastnmagic He loves the video blogs, but just doesn't have the gift of gab like I do. :) We have talked about him doing a video from his perspective (which I really hope he will)... He's such an amazing husband/father, I should really nudge him to be a bigger part of it in the future. Thanks for the comment! God Bless! ~ Erika
Hi +Lisaa mc! Not sure exactly what you mean, but there are many people looking to adopt. Our family would love to adopt again so we keep an active homestudy... If you are looking for a family to adopt, you would want to find one through an organization, church or an individual you know who meets your personal/spiritual beliefs. It's equally important to find a family who would love you & your baby unconditionally - as well as a family who is willing to keep an open relationship with you if that's what you want. Hope that helps... Feel free to comment or message me again if you have more questions. God Bless! ~Erika
***** Thank you for your reply as I really didn't know and I appreciate your mature response. I have known some people bottle mother's milk and store them in the fridge or freezer so I didn't know if this was what they did or that it was just formula. If it was formula I didn't know how good that would have been for the baby. I didn't know formula milk could be as good as, as I was always told that the mother's milk was designed to help build the baby's immunity amongst other things and that these weren't present in formula. I didn't think they used animal milk because especially cow milk is filled with hormones that can some times cause problems. So I was just curious.
Even if the biological mother had raised the baby, she still may not have been able to breast feed, sometimes women can't or babies can't. Sometimes formula is better. Formula is designed to do the same things. You learn something new every day.
She probably can't afford to care for him so she did what's best for him and gave him up for him to have a better life 😉have a great day and Smile More
Obviously the baby was "eating". There are formulas that can assist in the growth and nourishment for a newborn. And at times the breast milk are sometimes kept in hospitals for such incidents. Hope this helped
I want to adopt children when I'm 32. I want to adopt children from the least freest country that speaks English which is Solomon Islands. But since I'm bisexual and same sex marriages are illegal in Solomon Islands. I could only adopt there if I married a man. :/. But the least freest country that speaks English and has lgbt rights is the uss is even though it's a free country. (I live there) So if I married a woman, I would juat adopt from my country. I want to adopt two children. :D
It's a little sickening to think that even when you were expressing about birthmom and time spent with her son you didn't even thank her. She tore her heart for you to have her son. It's also crazy to think that you praise our lord but not her once again. I hope you open this adoption up.
+Elizabeth Larson You are sadly very mistaken. Not only have we repeatedly thanked all of our children's birth parents, but we have a beautiful, open relationship with them. We hold each of our children's birth parents in high respect and love them deeply - we talk about them often, and get together with them or share letters and photos whenever possible. Our sincere prayer is that our children know just how much they are loved & the great sacrifice that was made when their birthmother me chose life for them. I will be eternally grateful to them for sharing the boys with me in this lifetime. God bless! ~Erika
@Elizabeth Larson It's a little sickening how people like you, assume things and guess things and presume things. How the heck would YOU know what conversations took place, and what words were exchanged either in person, by phone, by email, etc. You watch a video for a few minutes, which is just that.....A FEW MINUTES of what took years to happen. You live your life, and let others live their lives. I think it's sickening how you judge this new mom, and preach what she should and shouldn't be doing. Go take care of your own family. And just as YOU felt it was okay to preach to someone else, then you certainly won't mind that I'm now preaching to you.
Elizabeth Larson, I know it's 2 years in, but your comment was truly shameful and I hope you've gained some wisdom since posting it. These are kind people, and your assumption was so misplaced. Such private, emotional moments are not for you and I to witness.
How beautiful is that little boy and he is lucky to call you his Mama. God bless your family.

Is the islnd far away??
Sort of sad, but that baby is lucky.
Is this in hawaii?
So if you're not his mother how will you feed him ? doesn't he need his own mother's natural milk to help him with his immune system and such?
Are you stupid
Meadow Holtby No but you're rude.
Formula can be just as good as breast milk. It's there for a reason.
