I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.
Wembley 2015 would make a good follow-up series to Wacken. Love this song. Perhaps my favorite from Wacken. “…and there forever remains that change from G to E minor.” Keep enjoying Nightwish, Dom! with or without Bruno.

This song is horribly underrated and definitely is one of the best metal songs I've ever heard. The breakthrough at 5:30 is awesome! I never forget my first time that I was listening to this song and in the middle I completely lost my self control due to headbanging and I was out of this world.
Also, Floor Jansen has the voice, the talent, the energy and the stage presence. She is absolutely amazing. I love every song she sings, old and new, especially at this concert.
The whole album is underrated. I have a good memorie about it, and the songs are really incredible and deep. Yeah, is not as "hard" as others, that's why people think that is a bad album (or not so good). But all the songs can get you emotional very easily

It’s top 4 Nightwish song for me. GLS, SOMS, 7 Days, Poet. In no particular order. With the qualifier - Wacken 2013 or Wembley 2015.
It is A Tribute to the poem in 52 chapters, One for every week of the year, " Song of myself " by Walt Whitman 1819-1892.(one of the co-founders of US poetry). The 7th line of the song is ""Of mermaids, of Whitman's and the Ride""". The extended official studio version of this song has, at the end, a poem as a tribute to Whitman made by Tuomas, the keyboard player and the mastermind of nightwish. These lines you can also see fast flahing on the ledscreen of the video you just saw.

Inspired by the 19th century 52 chapter poem f the same name by Walt Whitman, one of Tuomas' favorite poets. The studio version, recorded with Anette, includes a spoken poem section at the end, which was written by Tuomas in an ode to the original, and voiced by friends and family of the band. The poem's words are what you see on the big screen behind the band.

After Wacken 2013 there are plenty more full Nightwish concerts to react to...Wembley 2015, Tampere 2015, Buenos Aires 2018, Live in a Virtual World (Islanders Arms) 2021, Hellfest 2022, and Deichbrand 2022.Even when songs overlap from one to another, the performances are different enough to keep them from seeming redundant.

Slightly related, have a look at Ismo, Finnish comedian (in English), talking about "super excited"... This song was Ann Waychoff's favourite - the late, great mother of the Nightwish Army. Ha no he’s so soft in nature that he loves everyone, especially ladies, like he flirts with the vet and the nurses. She never has to sedate him and I see him all over their FB page and the groomers page being passed around for cuddles. He also has two doodles “little sisters” so he assumes all dogs love him too. He needs to learn stranger danger. Like there was this mean lady cat from the neighbour and she was tiny rescue and she’d beat him up but he’d be like cleaning off his own blood going “ah she loves me so much the poor thing can’t contain herself”. We have indoor/outdoor floofs and have found you can trip the very tips of the claws, blunting them just enough to not get stabbed all the time without preventing climbing and other cat activities. I will take 1/8" (3mm) at most from the super sharp ones with just a pair of clippers.
He was an outdoor floof but due to age he’s an indoor baby now with access to a walled garden.
The cat seemed happy with cuddling...No idea what the cat feels about the song though, he slept most of the time and seemed happy... I believe it is a good sign.
Alas, it is the Law Of Cat that we may never move if they are comfy in our laps!

Love your cat. I had a "Blue" Persian cat. He was a huge cat as well and perred just like that too. Mine wasn't that much if a lap cat, but liked to be next to me on sofa or bed and wanted attention obviously.

most will say Wembley for the next concert play through. I'd say to do the Decades, Live in Buenos Aires concert. Seems like to many reviewers avoid this set and it's a shame.

Wembley or Tampere in 2015/2016. Maybe Wembley first then onto Tampere so that you can get the full punch of "The Greatest Show on Earth" at Tampere. Wembley's version is clearer (for reasons apparent when you see it), while Tampere's ending is obscured - but the beginning is a real show. Both are equally good, but for different reasons.
